I use them all for inshore fishing in the LowCountry of South Carolina. I watch Flats Class on tv whenever I can. I stream it.
Just found your channel. Instant subscriber. Great presentation. Bought 3 of the 3000FMs for myself and both of my kids because of this video. Just need a rod to pair them with. Located in NW FL. Going through your channel now for a rod recommendation. Thank you.
Check out the new sustain. Almost as light as the vanford but more durability and stronger body frame. Or Check out the Vanquish slightly lighter in weight but has the hagane body
Because my four Stradics from the mid 1990s are all functioning flawlessly after thousands of hours on the water. Just wish the new ones had backreel capability. Just found a 4000 series FG model with backreel and snapped it up for $80.
It does need a misting of freshwater after each use and wipe down. The only issue that all the Stradic series has is the sticky roller bearings in the bail assembly
I fish the 5000’s (better handle) almost exclusively for Stripers, Blues, Bonito and Albies of all sizes off The Cape and Narragansett Bay. These reels are the best value in fishing, period.
Great video - thanks for the info. Will be picking up one of these reels. I'll be fishing for striped bass and bluefish in the New England area using top water poppers. Do you have a recommendation for a rod and braided line to go with this reels. I think the 3000 will do it form me. Thanks.
