Well done. One of the few and best videos on loopwheeling and slow fashion in general👌
Storytelling ability 💯
My desire to be in a loop wheel tshirt rn 💯
As a recent convert (who wishes he'd found loopwheel for himself sooner), I really appreciated this video, the information and footage, and the passion for it. So far I've purchased all my loopwheel pieces from Standard & Strange, including a shirt under Standard & Strange's own label, and the rest by The Real McCoy's. I wore sweatpants in public for the first time since I was a child, after picking up The Real McCoy's loopwheel sweats, and discovering they're insanely comfortable for halfway-round-the-world long haul flights.
Great work on this video, Merit Store, and for explaining the process and the feel.
This video was so well made, really really great guys. I can't speak for all the brands mentioned but the real McCoys is definitely up there, their team are so meticulous in researching fabrics they use spectrometry and other tools to replicate vintage pieces that in my view are even superior to the original. You're right about the price point though, definitely steep but the amount of work and research that goes into each piece is worth it for those, who like you said want to form a new relationship with their clothing beyond utility. Amazing video again.
Hey !
Wich or their product would you recommend ?
This was very well done I’m a huge fan of loopwheeled clothes have a couple of hoodies and a few tees
They hold their shape very sturdy yet soft hard to explain
My advice to those thinking of getting into this is be careful it’s addictive
Oh and ask about shrinking before you buy as some of the items I have I had to size up 1 to allow for the shrinkage
And Japanese sizes are not like western so you really need to try on
No two brands sizing are the same
For example
My flat head tee is size 42
My momotoro is size medium
My strike gold stuff are all size XL
I didn’t want to brag about the clothes I have just wanted to share as this stuff is $ you want to by right
And it honestly will last me years
I worked in knitting during more than 15 years, it was amazing, i was on Lonati, Merz circular etc circular model
Such a convenient video, I happen to come interested in loopwheel sweatshirts
Thanks dude!
I love your content on fabrics and their, and clothing in general, construction. I always learn so much, thanks.
Bought a merz b schwanen sweatshirt a few weeks ago. The comfort is quite spectacular
nice, I've been looking for clothing without seams and this seems to be it
worth the price! great video!
Wow such good quality content and deserve way more views than this!

Is it there already!?
Do they make loopwheel sheets that'd be cool like a linen kinda sheet
Lol just scored an iron heart loopwheeled sweatshirt for 41.70. With a 70% price reduction and this fabric i couldn't resist.
I love cotton knit for winter, but it’s too hot for me in summer. My favorite fabric of all is knitted silk/silk jersey. Is the lightness and thinness of these fabrics just the result of the very sparing use of expensive silk fiber? I just got a silk knit cardigan from Theory and a silk knit top from M.M. La Fleur (there goes my monthly wardrobe budget!) and noticed a big difference, the Theory knit is much, much thinner and already shows needle holes from its construction that I fear will create runs. I hope it lasts, I will always hand-wash this one, but it’s white, so it will need it frequently. Could you do a video on how silk knit/jersey fabrics are made, please? Also, are knit and jersey truly equivalent terms? I’ve always used them that way, but I’m not really sure. I notice UK brands use jersey more and US brands use knit more. Thank you for any info you can provide.🙂
💥 great episode!
Q - is lady white loop wheel? They say “tubular” fabric...I think.
Also, please make a t shirt. Please!
Thanks Jordan! Nope, loopwheel is a tubular knit but not all tubular knits are loopwheel. Lady White Co is just a tubular knit. But of course, I love their t-shirts still. We are almost done with our t-shirt!
i wonder what happened to the other loop factories
Why dont they build new machines?
Is there a loopwheel t-shirt that uses merino wool instead of cotton?
Merz b. Schwanen makes loopwheel merino t-shirts and long sleeves.
@@desertfox9514 And another question I have about this type of shirts is that if they can be made to measure?
I don't believe they do MTM. Just a standard S-XXL size range. Use their sizing guide to find the one that fits you best.
@@desertfox9514 No. What I meant is that if in the loopwheel shirts I could send them to my tailor, I say this because it lacks side seams
If you designed clothes the way (most) programmers (are called upon by their overlords to) design software you'd end up with products as shitty as Microsoft Office, or worse, the crap on our phone that makes money with our private junk. You design clothes like clothing designers who care about what they design, and who care about what their customers experience. I just don't think the software metaphor captures the cool shit you guys are doing. I'm feeling some Dogen Zenji, a little bit of Tom Peters, and lots of smart design work (not just thinking: work) in what you do and say. So remember: y'all are doing craft, here. (Yeah, good software design is also craft, and game designers like Robert Yang, who you'd get a kick out of by the way, are doing solid, critical, interesting work, too). Y'all putting some heart into this stuff, and I don't see a lot of heart in most software design. Just saying.
Thanks for your work guys. Crafty in the best way, with a sense of history/herstory and care. Keep it up. Lean into the craft.
Reading this comment felt like going on the /r/nononoyes subreddit. Appreciate it man. The software metaphor works only to illustrate the focus on the customer, as opposed to ourselves, because we’re tired of the self-important men’s designer...maybe the metaphor became confusing that way. Your thoughts are wonderful.
Do you need a loopwheel tee? The price tag determines it all to majority of the ppl
Great video but the music made my eyes water
So that’s why supreme hoodies and tees are expensive
Supreme dosent use loopwheel fabric they use Canadian fleece. Still good fabric but definitely a step down
