I do this on my own hair and it costs me about $85.00 in product, if you watch tutorials or ask friends it is actually a real money saver! I used to pay what you charge and I have half the amount of hair she does, I'm glad to be able to do it on my own and with salon products. The hair does look nice, good job.
Yes girl I agree......i do mine myself also but some cannot use two mirrors to do that technique especially in the back of head guess we are talented in that sense haha....its a challenge but i make it work lol had 2 learn since a teen bc hard when have no one 2 help , self taught is the best and watching videos lol.....now more so than ever when covid was on-going an hit hard
Yess im 35 and i always did the blonde on top and black underneath as a teen...now im sittin here like i wanna do it again with grey and black but i have an undercut and bob hair style bc im lettin the undercut grow out now ughhhh i will try two color some how is what lead me googling diff ways now with my half a head of hair lmao.....🤪🙈
Isn't it so awesome how trends come back around? Im in my mid 30s too and I remember this from when I was a teenager. When I first saw it was trending again, I was like "NO WAY 😂 The 90s are back!" It would still be super cool with an undercut!
I just dyed my hair like this and I have a few very important questions please: 1. Should I wash my black hair and white hair separately? With separate shampoos or can I use my purple shampoo on my black hair? 2 The ends of my hair came out a little bit green/grey/brown, can I fix it the way that I would re-dye it with white drugstore dye at home? I dont wanna go back to my salon, because their work wasnt really the best and they charge A LOT. 3. At the hair salon they told me that purple shampoo would fix the green/grey/brown part and they didnt even told me to come again. Is it true? Is it going to be lighter if I just use purple shampoo & conditioner?
Not sure if the OP will respond but here's what I think: 1) you can use purple shampoo on dark hair, although depending on how dark/light your hair is the purple shampoo could make it ashy, so focus the product on the under parts of your hair 2) the ends of your hair likely turned green because of previous dyes-always important to do a strand test before applying bleach to your full head! Similar to purple shampoos, there are pink toning conditioners that can help cancel out the green. Again, bleach/toning shampoos are tricky, so you could even do a test of the pink toning conditioner to make sure it turns out as you desired. 3) Like I said, purple shampoo gives ashy tones to hair, so it doesn't necessarily make it "blonder" (toners/glosses achieve that better). You can try with the purple shampoo to see if it cancels the green out, but I'd also consider the pink toning conditioner. Be careful not to overdo it on the purple shampoo! It'll definitely turn your blond area purple if applied too often, should only be used once a week/every few washes. Hope that helps!
1) no need to wash your hair separately. Purple shampoo won't do anything to your black hair. 2) to fix the color, it will need to be lightened out again. It's not a big deal as long as your hair is healthy enough to handle it. It's very common that the ends come out darker (even when the whole head is virgin hair - the hair at the roots isn't fully keratinized therefore lightens faster and easier). But artificial colours tend to leave a darker result
@@nvennhairbeauty When doing a split dye with 1 color on top and 1 color on the bottom with semi permanent dye how would you prevent it from bleeding together? I want to do a red and blue split dye with 1 on top and the other on the bottom, but I don't want to bleeding and making the bottom go purple. So how could I prevent it, or will I have to use permanent color to achieve that?
yes it could definitely be done in one session for sure if the persons hair was natural. Lifting out dark (artificial) colors would require 2 maybe even 3 sittings to get the blonde the right shade of platinum. I would normally book 3-3.5 hours for soemthing like this
follow the same technique and just use the colors you want. The only thing to be careful with is rinse the burgundy first with super cold water then rinse the blonde to prevent bleeding.
I can't say for sure because dusky skin tone can be many different tones. You could definitely do the color placement and a good stylist can help you choose a tone that would suit your skin best!
Maybe I missed it but did you part the hair straight through the top before separating the top half from the bottom? I have no idea how to word that question lmao hopefully it makes sense
i have honestly wanted to have a hair style like that but layered and short, but since i live in sweden in a small city i dont know if the hairdressers there will actually do what i want since most of the people ive gone to doesnt do it proffesionally and how i want it, so it always ends up messed up, any ideas of how i can explain to them how i want it? cause apparently they dont understand me

I'm sorry I'm a newbie. What is the difference between a lightener and bleaching?? Thanks a bunch

This is what I'm worried about
@@micah6757 i dyed it in 2 rounds first black and then bleaching the other part an i had no promblems when washing it together afterwarts

How did you stop the black from bleeding into the blonde when rinsing??
Ice cold water ❄⛄
You can also do the blonde on top and rinse that first with some shampoo, it won't bleach the darker color underneath in my experience.
How long did this take? Would 5-8 hours be enough (I.e. could this be done in one session)?

so what is meaning of this haircut ? just trendy ?
Yes. It was the craz for a little while there
what is are the products used to bleach and tone the hair?
Blondeme 9 levels of lift is the lightener. And Matrix for the toner
I cannot find one tutorial on burgundy hair with blonde underneath does anyone do this ? I know it's the other way around usually.
follow the same technique and just use the colors you want. The only thing to be careful with is rinse the burgundy first with super cold water then rinse the blonde to prevent bleeding.
even i want get this colour done i m dusky skin tone baby will it suit me ???

Would putting the hair take over and hour and then process for hour . Is that ok
I would start with a lower developer and increase it as you go so that it finishes processing all at the same time.
What colour for the toner?
Matrix 9V and 9A color sync
Maybe I missed it but did you part the hair straight through the top before separating the top half from the bottom? I have no idea how to word that question lmao hopefully it makes sense
Ya im not sure if I understand your question😂
What did you use to tone?
It's Matrix Color Sync - 1/2 9V + 1/2 9A 😊
That’s a lot of money I’ll just go buy my own hair dye.
Then go buy.no problem
