Sokoya Abdulazeez Make them actually realise that it will actually affect their lives. Make them suffer. Make them actually experience it first-hand, and work in it. Only then will they actually want to change it. If you can’t see it right before your eyes, constantly, you won’t constantly feel like doing anything about it.

Sad how every state in Australia is on fire, and our PM is off chilling in Hawaii. Yet the Federal Government denies climate change , and ignores the crisis.
If this is not enough we're going to die slowly and miserably by the consequences of climate change, I'm scarred because I'm starting to think climate change will only emphasize the worst sides pf humanity as it becomes more about survival as it get worse 😰

He brings over so many issues that his voter base is always divided. People who want green deals may not be liking Bernie's idea of union or socialism. Sven Dardzinski I wouldn’t pay millions for any painting but for me it’s that a painting looks better than a picture (anybody could take a picture but it’s harder to paint)
Da Vinci never ended a single one painting, he worked 20 years on the three masterpièces he took in France without ending one. So if it's ended, it's not him.

All the more reason to simply invest whatever capital is required to solve this problem, even if it means printing it. As long as we can keep inflation under control, then we can solve this problem at any time.

Isn't old masters used to hire prodigies or students to have them make their masterpieces for them? They just make a tiny copy of that work and would let the student do the bigger copy. So its not really surprising there's another Mona Lisa, I mean, a student of Da Vinci could've made that

Stopping waiting on our politicians to solve climate change. Vote for the right things to alleviate global warming with your dollars such as buying more veggies/eating less meat, invest in alternative energy, invest in technology innovation and research, commute with bike or public transportation when possible, car pool more often, tell your politicians that you'll vote for a different candidate if their actions don't change, etc.
These kids vs corrupt politicians remind me of the asteroid vs dinosaurs, the result is inevitable and worth watching from a distance.

While you are in Madrid, you can watch another Mona Lisa from the 16th century. It's bigger, clearer and made in Leonardo da Vinci's studio, probably under the master's supervision.

It's not. Sort of. It was a part of the Louvre's collection for maybe 100 years, mostly ignored. And then somebody stole it, which drew attention to it in a new way - not for the sake of the painting, but what that theft meant in terms of public ownership of cultural products. The subsequent investigation and news reportage is what brought it to the world's stage.

Not every old painting has value. Certainly not to the same degree. The supposed relations between Da Vinci and the merchant's wife are not really relevant either, or the famous painting would have seen its value rise much sooner. The Mona Lisa's fame (and valuation) is almost entirely due to it being a subject of national interest.
Mona Lisa's value is totally artificial: the manufactured hype by the museum and media for the stolen painting and the artist's name made it famous and pushed the price up.
