I’m a 70 year 49ers fan. Wilson has owned us for 10 years. Very glad we won’t have to face him two times a year any more. He’s a great player. Best of luck to him in Denver. Jimmy G’s stock will probably go up now that Rogers and Wilson are off the QB market.

As a Seahawks fan and Russ fan I’m beyond happy with this. The Relationship with Russ and Pete has been sour for a couple years now. Unfortunately it’s time to rebuild the franchise and move on. Pete is next to go after next season.

Drew Lock is a project starter and the book isnt totally written on him yet. Shelby Harris was coming along last season. AND the Haws got 2 1’s and 2 2’s for a 32 Year old QB coming off a bad injury and the worst season of his career. Im going to laugh incredibly hard if this blows up in Denver’s face like it looks like it will. I seriously think this was a fireable offense by the Broncos GM. Absolutely panicked.

Told my dad this was gonna happen(not necessarily Denver). He didn’t believe it. He was a HUGE Seahawks fan. He died almost 3wks ago. Would’ve loved talking to him about this 🥲. He was such a big Seahawks fan, that people were encouraged to wear Seahawks gear to his funeral. And the last words of his service,”GO HAWKS”.

He will be crying in Denver in no time, but overall still and amazing trade for the broncos because he will win them 12 games minimum. The reason Peyton & Russell went there is actually BECAUSE of how well they have drafted their positional players. If the Hawks did a better job at that, he would’ve wanted to stay.

As a Broncos fan it's true we cant deny it, but it's definitely not like we didn't try. we draft well, just not at QB. it was constant strikeouts so we had to resort to our old tactics.
When was the last time a SB winning QB, still playing at a an incredible level - got traded. You never ever forever never trade the QB. Too rare an asset.
I mean I agree on the surface just look at Stafford trade. But also we don't actually know the circumstances maybe it was trade Russ for something or have Russ be an absolute menace in the building snd do nothing good for the rest of his contract.
That was 7 years ago. That hawks Defense was one of the best ever and a linebacker was the MVP, not Russ.

This means Pete (unless he wins a Superbowl this year) is probably in his last year, right? Hawks haven't had too many 1st round draft picks over the years. So if they get some early draft picks for the season after next season, they probably want some fresh ideas. Also, this is pure speculation but Wilson and his wife were trying to have another kid AND he was just getting adjusted to being part owner of the Sounders. Maybe that is why he had NTC.?

This is one of those trades that I think both teams win. Denver has everything in place for the most part to make a run, Seattle had no shot with their division and current roster. Seattle now gets pieces to try and make it work for the future and Broncos got a QB that can get them a ring.

Everyone says something along the lines of a massive haul. Broncos would’ve used a 1st rd on a QB this year anyway. One of those 2nd is one they got for Von and now Von is coming back. Fant is good but not a game changer like a Kelce or Kittle. Lock is a backup. Look at it that way and it’s really not that crazy.
Yeah and their 1st and 2nd next year will be dictated by their success so if they make a run it doesn’t matter. Great trade Russ is still young in QB years.
It’s one of those moves that If the Broncos start winning no one will care about. But if you stink then it’s a different story
It all depends on how much you win with him. Win a super bowl or two and it’s a great deal. Win nothing and it Seattle rebuilds to a dynasty from this and it will be compared to the Hershel Walker trade

How is this a loss for the Seahawks? They got a massive haul in return and moved on from an aging qb who isn’t as good as he once was, not to mention his massive salary cap hits. There’s a reason why most qb’s on top of the market deals don’t win super bowls that often unless you’re taking a pay cut like Brady did. Using that much cap space on the qb doesn’t allow you to fill out other positions

Being a Bills fan, I'm super excited about this. This makes it that much harder for the Chiefs to win their division which makes it that much easier for the Bills to win the 1 seed and guarantee home field advantage.

He would be very dangerous with a top 10 offensive line. With the 19th offensive line your probably going to get 2020 Russ who's very good but after a while it effects him negatively in the later half of the season.
