    Awesome video, Scott! I watched a few different reviews of the MoveMic, and yours was definitely the most thorough.
    Do you think this lav mic would be a decent solution for someone recording simple videos/streams at home, and for stuff like Zoom calls? I'm in a big, echoey room that I'm unfortunately unable to treat. My daily driver is a SM7B, but I've honestly grown sick of having it directly in my face and in frame all the time. Thinking this might be my next best option.

      Thank you! And I agree, I love how customizable they are. And how tiny it is too. And, I forgot to mention in the video, the logo blends in on the mic. So it’s not big green or white text that says “SHURE” on it which makes it distracting for videos. It’s extremely well designed!

    Wow great explanation ❤ Subscribed 👍 but 1 question. because if we use Bluetooth it will be very limited on the app I can use. Like if I want to stream directly to Tiktok for example 😂. Can I just use Type c to type c connector and connect it to my android phone with the receiver? And if I previously had set the mic using its app via Bluetooth. will the settings be saved on the receiver as well? Thank you

    Would this probably work for live audio? I have a portable speaker that I typically play music with via bluetooth, and then I project my voice at the same time using the 1/4 jack input. So would it likely work to just get a 3.5 mm to 1/4 jack adapter and plug it in? (The reason I'm not just directly going for something simpler like a Lekato transmitter is I need to have two microphones. And I'd ideally like to be able to control gain and audio filtering so I can try to fight reverb effects from my speaker.)

    Would it be possible to use the two clip-on mics with the receiver and have the output routed to two separate channels on a mixer by using a cable 1/8" (male) to two XLR (female)? I'm a musician that has a Duo group where we both sing and I was curious as to how they would sound.

    I love your videos, always good stuff. It did make it feel more like a paid promotion that the competition was not mentioned. Just had a feel “don’t mention Rode or DJI in your video”. A feature/function comparison would have been nice or at least mention of.
    If you have the receiver, not being able to use the app for settings is a little bit of a shortcoming, if that is indeed the case. Pairing the app with the receiver would be very beneficial. The app and video app both look like great features.

    Hi Scott. What's The sensitivity like? Would it tolerate being in front of a guitar amp or inside a kick drum, for example?
    Second, what's the live latency like through the app? The video app could be artificially syncing as it will know what the Bluetooth latency is?
    Lastly, what's the latency over 2.4GHz through the receiver?
    Love your reviews. Hi from the UK!

    • @ScottUhlMusic
      @ScottUhlMusic  7 месяцев назад +1

      It’s a lav mic, I definitely wouldn’t use it for a kick drum or a guitar amp.
      There is no latency with the receiver unit, so if you need real time monitoring you’ll need to use that, not the app 🤘
      Cheers! Thanks for watching.

    Would it be possible to use these mic to add an adjustable ambiant sound into a wireless in-ear monitor system like in the 3DME IEM from ASI but with regular IEM ? One would need a way to inject some adjustable ambiant sound into the IEM receiver (e.g. to talk with band members or to add some ambient sound into the personal mix). If this is not possible with this system, do you know of a way to do this in a small form factor easy to use in a live situation ?

    Hey Scott, as always, amazing job and your channel is my favorite one since I discovered it a couple of weeks ago. I do have a question regarding this mic system:
    Among different services, I'm a wedding DJ and even though I love to use fail-proof wireless mics for the ceremony, I'm thinking about downsizing.
    I currently use 2 Sennheiser XSW receivers with one bodypack/lapel mic for the officiant plus a handheld for vows. I connect both receivers to a chinese knock-off antenna distro with the paddles and it works perfectly, even in crowded areas. But as mentioned, I’m thinking about downsizing so I thought about a system like this, placing the receiver on top of the speaker (for a clean line of sight) plus the proper cable for splitting the signal and twicking both channels accordingly. I would set one mic to the officiant and the second one, to the groom or to the officiant's clipboard.
    Would you go that route and risk it or keep the existing system. They both have pros and cons of course.
    Thanks!

    • @ScottUhlMusic
      @ScottUhlMusic  7 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for following the channel! Hmmm interesting. I actually have gone with the Shure SLXD digital portable system for clip on mics for weddings. It’s digital and true diversity. Obviously you still need to wear a pack, but that will always be more reliable. Clear line of sight is always best so I’m glad you mentioned that because SO many people say “it sounded good at sound check and then people showed up and it stopped working.” I’m willing to bet it would work well, but I always have a handheld ready just in case (even with my very nice Shure wireless for the lav/clip on mic). Hope that helps! I definitely think you could, just make sure the distance isn’t too far, the range is 100 ft with these, but I haven’t tested that.
