Scammers have shown up guys. Do NOT send anyone money who is claiming to be me. I will NEVER ask you for money. Period. I don’t use Telegram or Discord or WhatsApp. See the grey outline behind my name? That’s how you know it’s me. Do not respond to them…. Unless you are bored and want to mess with them and waste their time of course 😈
Scott, I really appreciate your vids, I can imagine the work and research that goes into these. I learn so much. Your explanations, articulation and descriptions of some difficult topics provides so much clarity. I love the way you can simply things. It’s your “magic phrase”s that do it….
“Magic Phrase” I just ordered the very same wireless system yesterday. Got asked to do a one off, fill in karaoke gig. Thought it would be nice for the singers to have wireless mics. “Yes I’m going in the hole, but that’s the way I roll”. I can return my order. Scott, I have sent quite a few people to your channel from ST3 users Facebook page. Keep up the great work, you are appreciated.
Love your channel Scott! I appreciate the amount of work put into the research and the editing of these videos - Would love to see a quick video of your editing process - magic phrase is "keep 'em coming"
Man theres no one doing this as clean as you do, straight to the point! Clean, direct and precise information. 22:30 minutes and I feel that it was all 100% useful information we all can retain in our heads. I will not say the phrase because i'm from Portugal :) Just wanted to let you know that I do appreciate this info a lot
Extremely helpful as always! Purchased our bands IEM units based off your reviews and detailed descriptions 🙂. You’ve always got that magic phrase to help put it all into perspective! 😁
Thank you. It's pleasant to be in the gist of the topic with no latency and have un full range of explanation. There’s no interference with unuseful comment. So short and so clear like some sort of magic phrase.
I've been in the Music Industry for longer than most other folks in music have been alive. Let's just say more than half a century. I've learned more about gear from your channel over the the last few years without having used the MAGIC PHRASE, "Subscribe, Like and Share". That is until today! You seem to always be able to clear up the questions I have about entry level gear all the way up to Pro Level gear. Great job and THANKS!
Excellent as always. I think I’ve watched every video you’ve ever put out in the last month. Thanks for the helpful info, it’s really great how clear you explain everything. Thanks again! Magic Phrase
Thanks for the great information! I’ve been doing this for decades and still picked up some really useful info that I did not know! Learning is the Magic Phrase on your channel, even when there are no giveaways!
Magic Phrase. Thanks again for another great video! Filled in some holes in my knowledge, such as not realizing analog had zero latency. Gotta find a way to check out those digital IEMs! 🎉
Thanks professor Uhl! I sure wish I knew this before purchasing my systems. Ultimately, in our band, everyone purchased their own wireless systems, resulting in a mishmash. I ended up doing an audit of all the systems, and created a bar graph of each one’s frequency range. This at least helped avoid stepping on each other’s toes when selecting a clear frequency.
Yeah man, I remember seeing your chart for that. That was way more than most people do for their wireless! It’s worked pretty well though… just need to upgrade one mic I think would be best with that many wireless at once. 🤘
I watch your videos even for gear I don't have or plan to get, because they are so full of useful information, and thoughtfully presented. The story of ACDC preferring Wireless instead of wired guitar cables was an eye opener. It's true that guitar cable materials/treatment, and length affect tone to some degree. It makes me wonder what is the frequency range and dynamic range of an wire/analog guitar cable vs wireless? That would make for a VERY interesting video. Thanks again for all the great videos you make. I can always count on learning something useful from them! 👍
Hey Scott, another great and clear video. We use the wireless EW-D and Shure GLXD6+ as a portable set. We love them. Never had an issue with it. We skip the raffle as we have already the EW-D wireless mics.
This was very helpful, Scott! I didn't realize wireless signal stacking was even a thing! We're slowly upgrading to digital wireless at my church, and this was helpful in explaining why it's a necessary upgrade. Oh, and "Magic Phrase."
Thanks for the videos! You were a big help in choosing to get the Line 6 HX Stomp, and I’ve since ordered a few of your reviewed products. And Magic Phrase 🙌
Thank you for providing technical information and practical experience in your videos. I also love the added links for those of us who need just a little more information. I also appreciate this giveaway’s magic phrase is different! Keep up the great work.
With every vid that you do, I learn more about this stuff that I really don't know enough about. Thank you. I"ll put the Magic Phrase thing in, but I watch your stuff for the knowledge. Good Job!
Thanks for the info! You seem to come up with answers/topics that I didn't know I needed educating on. Magic phrase is thr gateway to knowledge. Cheers from the PNW!
Magic Phrase! I know most of the content you explain just from working with gear for a very long time on shows etc. I just cannot explain it the way you do. Excellent work! Glad you have this channel!
I just got my first digital system for guitar (Sennheiser EW-D). It’s a super awesome setup. I have an analog G4 mic in my rack as well, along with 3 analog IEM’s. I will say digital is the way to go when possible, but some situations do fit analog more because of the latency with digital. I run my G4 mic through Logic Pro X where it goes through different vocal processing. As much as I’d like to get an EW-D mic as well, the analog really does benefit there (like said in the video). With that said, I’ve had absolutely zero issues with G4 wireless. Tried and true. All it takes is some basic RF coordination with your other wireless gear when you get to the venue Awesome video Scott! You explained it all 100%
Very helpful! You make complex gear seem simple. I like how you present the facts and back it up with personal experiences. Thank you!! The magic phrase is a nice twist, as music is where magic is made.
Your videos are always detailed, and honestly even answer some questions I didn't even know I had! You're the man Scott! A question pops up and I'm like magic phrase, I know where to go.
Thanks for making these videos, Scott! I recently built an in-ear rack for my band and your videos were crucial in my learning/building process. Magic Phrase!
Scott, this is a fantastic video. Your method of explaining complex Magic Phrase details in easy to understand concepts is greatly appreciated. I love both types of systems but out of simplicity for fast mobile setup, I have all digital systems. Thanks for your content.
Thanks for all your videos. Best on RUclips for a lot of stuff. Especially gear reviews and your ST3 tutorials. I guess this is the Magic Phrase portion on my comment.
Very good video. Caught it at just the right time, I’m going through ALL my gear and updating. Thank you for not only the timing but the massive amount of GOOD information. Love the Magic phrase!
Thanks for the video, you explained the difference between analog and digital systems really well. I do need to point out that Intermodulation does occur with digital systems as well, When the wireless transmitters in close proximity to each other, you do get harmonic frequencies.
I'm in the UK so no competition for me, but just wanted to say I've learnt, and continue to learn, so much from this channel over the last few years. It really helped me choose to go to a digital UHF wireless about 15 months ago when i was having issues with my Line 6 wireless. Ive not had a single dropout since following your advice on channel scanning etc. What i do find interesting is that the Sennheiser EW-D I ended up getting doesnt do group and channel scanning, it just gives you a frequency after you hit scan. I'm assuming theres a reason for that? As I know the SLX-D also does group and channel scanning. Keep up the good work, love the channel!
Thanks! Glad to hear the channel has helped you out. And that’s really interesting, I haven’t used one of the EWD systems yet, so I’ll have to look into that. That’s really interesting to know. Thanks for sharing!
@ScottUhlMusic I hadn't noticed it didn't until after I watched your video on Group and Channel scanning and then I noticed it. I'm sure there's a reason for it, but none that I know about. I did also consider the Shure SLX-D after seeing your videos, but they only seem to be offered in frequency bands that require a paid license here in the UK, so I went for the EW-D instead. Still a really good system though and I don't regret it 😀
Hey Scott, I've been looking into wireless things lately, and this video came out at the perfect time. Thanks for your easy-to-understand explanations on the differences! Oh and, "Magic Phrase"

When I have questions about wireless gear, the magic phrase is "Scott Uhl". Thanks a lot!
😊 thank you!
Man, you expand my brain! Thanks!!
Hahaha I like that! Thanks 😊
Well done, very informative. Here is the "Magic Phrase"
Scott you're the best 💙

Thanks! And man, the editing takes forever lol. I use Gling AI which is a huge help, and then plugins from motion vfx and pixel film studios
Man theres no one doing this as clean as you do, straight to the point! Thanks! And yeah if they are close within physical distance, that’s a bad thing in general with any wireless but very true 👍
Great content as usual Scott! Let's hope "Magic Phrase" is not just a phase ;-) .. be well!
Just discovered your channel. Love the just right amount of tech depth you go as necessary. Magic phrase ftw!
Thank you! I appreciate that. Thats good to hear because I really try to not make it too complicated but still give enough info for it to make sense
