  • In our last study, Christ positioned Himself in a boat and gave a remarkable parable to the crowd. Essentially, the parable is a simple story that all the hearers would have understood. However, the underlying meaning would have been missed by many because of the soil - the different heart conditions.
We looked at verses 10 -12, where Christ spoke about the mysteries of the Kingdom, further explaining the purpose of the parables. The mystery is, “The power and the presence of the Kingdom of God are breaking into human history through the words and deeds of Jesus the Messiah.” Those who remained outside would only hear a story while having the exact information they would not see, hear, or understand.
Today’s lesson we’ll continue from the last lesson.

Great review! From my perspective, the sower represents both Christ and any disciple of Christ, like your Grandmother, who spreads the message of the kingdom.
