- The plaintiff and defendant dated, and they have two children together. She caught the defendant cheating on her with a woman who is now his wife. She’s suing for half of an orthodontist bill. The defendant’s wife says she never knew about the plaintiff, but there was a third woman involved. The defendant argues he never agreed to pay for the bill.
“Then the other baby mama came over.” That’s when you should’ve left. There’s nothing attractive about marrying a man with drama like that going on.

Ummm…he is paying child support, child support is to pay half the expenses for the child to include health and dental care. So if he is paying his child support how is he not taking care of his responsibilities?
Paying child support does not include dental and health insurance. It's a totally different order. I know someone who pays over a 1000 a month in child support and also has medical insurance deducted from their check. Plus whoever the child lives with always does more for the child so, as a man he should be willing to put out a little more than what the court ordered

It is calculated within the child support. It seems like Dads cant win; if your paying your child support and spending time with your kids your still not taking care of your responsibilities if you don't give their mother extra money but if you don't pay your deadbeat.

Last I checked you can't lie about needing braces, the orthodontist tells you that. You can pay them or insurance directly. Why wouldn't you want a better smile for your child. Split the bill, that's simple!

There is child support and then medical insurance. They need to split the bill. That’s how that works in my state and if the plaintiff takes that bill to the child support court they will make sure he pays half of all the medical bills for his kids…as he should.

The judge did well, but as a father. You shouldn’t need the court/judge to tell you how to take care of your kids. If he’s paying child support that should go towards the braces, if he can add more then so be it. She looks like she wants him to do it all.
He shouldn't have to have the judge to tell him. But I will say that when someone is on child support, they are fully responsible for the medical expenses, excluding what's paid in child support.
She doesn't get child support for the daughter, the child with braces. She only gets child support for the younger one. Do you think that she should take money out of the payment that she gets for the son & put it towards the braces?

Braxes are a medical need and should be split as should medical insurance, child support does not cover deductibles on issues or needs not covered.
