    I’m a Mail Carrier that was bit by a Pitbull last Jun, I had to have 37 stitches and was off work for 2 months. Any dog can bite, but Pit bulls can kill. If you’re bold enough to have an aggressive breed, you better at least be responsible enough to make sure they’re under your Renters/Homeowners insurance.

      Pits don't even have the strongest bite force for one so that's not true. Plenty of breeds can kill. If Pits aren't raised to fight, they won't be a issue. The quicker we comprehend that the quicker the breed won't be misrepresented.

    The town put an order on him to leash his dogs at all times and make them wear muzzles…and he considered that to be SO challenging and impossible, that he had to get rid of the dogs. CLEARLY this guy was a bad owner, and I absolutely believe he had these dogs running wild. The demand put on him by the town wasn’t even exaggerated: it was just what a responsible dog owner is supposed to be doing. It’s his fault the dogs are gone, not the plaintiffs.

The plaintiff was lucky his injuries could've been much worse, or god forbid if his daughter or another small child had been attacked. It could've been a horrible tragedy. The defendant showed no remorse either, if he can't even properly care for two dogs and keep them under his control I can only imagine how he must be as a parent. Sad.

    It's always the same question ... " Do you think pitbulls are more vicious than other breeds " .... I don't know, there seems to be a number of different breeds both large and tiny that can be very vicious, it's kind of irrelevant. A pitbull, however can rip your face off while other breeds can't. It's not that cut and dried but there is a reason why insurance companies don't want to deal with pitbulls and no one can deny that.

    • @giondennis6808
      @giondennis6808 Год назад +2

      It isn't that pit bulls are more aggressive or violent than other dogs, because a chihuahua in my opinion is WAY more violent and aggressive. However, the damage inflicted when a pit bull even just nips is so much more than other breeds. Sadly, a dog that can be the calmest, best pet for your family can pack a HUGE punch when trained in the wrong manner...

    • @MusicTennis
      @MusicTennis Год назад

      I know I'm so tired of the question too. It's about numbers, the popularity of a dog. The Pit Bull and Golden Retriever/Lab are incredibly popular so the number of bite cases are too high on either. Obviously the history of the two are different. One was bred to fight and the other to retrieve. One mauls when it bites and the other bites and releases. All court cases about dog bites would stop if every owner would follow Cesar Milans method since 2005. I use his method and can make a Pitbull submissive to a mouse. 😁

    • @patrickchubey3127
      @patrickchubey3127 Год назад

      Agreed. I don't blame the dog, I blame the owner and in many cases the dog is actually smarter than the owner anyway. I train my own animals and treat them with kindness and they do what I want them to do and they do it willingly. You have to know animals and how to treat them but it's not rocket science, anyone who understands and cares for animals can do it.

Barking is one thing but growling is what happens right before the bite. The trainer missed sign after sign from DAY ONE that she was not dominant over the female Chow. Of course the Chow loved on her a lot. She gives it food, love, rewards, treats but no discipline. The Chow saw her as a submissive girlfriend not an authority figure dominant Mom.

      So am I, and I have an Italian mastiff😂. I started a RUclips page recently to share information, having hopes that if someone plans to get rid of their dog they may can find some useful information. It’s not the dogs fault majority of the time!! It’s sad all the dogs that get euthanized and mistreated daily🥺Please help me grow Pups channel💕🐾Maybe the more we support each other by giving advice the more dogs we can save together🤞🌍🤗

The only answer is the Cesar Milan "Dog Whisperer" method or some other pro online. If this isn't done may god help the home they go to. I'm not a pro but I do it for free locally. The dogs have to be walked properly, dominated, disciplined, socilaized with people and dogs. 😀🦮🐕‍🦺

    The idea that the way a dog was raised dictates the way they will act is a fallacy. Certain breeds have a history of violent acts. It's been bred into them. No matter how they are raised, that capacity is right below the surface. Any dog can bite, but it's the amount of damage and savagery that certain breeds can inflict seperates them from other dogs. Pit bulls, Rottweilers, Canne Corso and a number of other breeds are often banned in cities because of this. Many homeowner's insurance companies will not insure you if you have any of these breeds.

      True, it started in jolly 'ol England a couple hundred years ago by cruel people. Fortunately Cesar Millan since 2005 has taught us how to socialize Pits so they submit to other dogs and learn to be friendly. When someone adopts a Pit they better know whether it was bred to fight because it's a long term rehabilitation. If it wasn't then shaping it's behavior is easy.

    I am so tired of society being duped into thinking "it is all how you raise the dog." While environment can have an impact on behavior, the vast majority of dog behavior is genetic. Border collies herd, Retrievers will retrieve, Pointers point, etc. You don't see any sheep farmers out there with chihuahuas herding the sheep and not because the chihuahua is small, but because it sucks at herding. You don't see Fila brasileiros as therapy dogs in the hospital because they would end up attacking, harming and potentially killing people due to their nature. The pitbull was bred for human entertainment--- blood sports. They were literally bred to attack other living creatures for the sick entertainment of humans. That is it. That was their purpose. They are NOT "nanny dogs", have never been and never will be nanny dogs.
    You can train a dog from a young puppy, doing all the right things and still have that dog's genetic tendencies come to the surface. You can't completely train the herding instinct out of a herding dog, the same holds true for other breeds. You might be able to minimize some of those behaviors but you can't remove instinct and genetics.

    • @JeremiahLOsborne
      @JeremiahLOsborne Год назад

      While genetics does play a role, domestication has allowed humans to take control over genetics. Yes, some dogs are bred to do certain things, but that doesn't mean they have to. They can be trained to override those instincts. It is absolutely the owners responsibility to train the dog properly. Your anecdote doesn't hold up to all of the other anecdotes of people with pit bulls that do not attack people, are not aggressive, and have perfect histories of being family-friendly dogs. Don't interpret high activity for aggression.

      For one pits WERE not originally bred to attack. They were used for hunting large game, and to hold whatever the hunter was hunting. Large game such as bears. It was after the laws changed, is when people started using pits for terrible reasons. Any dog owner no matter the breed of dog. Should be responsible enough to know that they are still a dog. On average there are 7 million cases per year of "dog biting human". This guy was down and could have been hurt more seriously. Cali can be nutty on some regulations but they are spot on with dog bite cases. They cite you on the first bite (pay fine and/or pay all damages). If it happens again you're in court and fighting for your dogs life.

Did the Defendants 'fear reaction" up the stakes, YEP, but those pittys were NOT under control. and if the plaintiff thinks so, he is DELUSIONAL. I'll even grant that the defendants OWN fear reaction against an aggressive dog contributed to his getting bitten, HOWEVER it is STILL on that bad owner that his dog BIT the man.

    Why is it always renters that have their dogs running around loose biting people. If you can’t afford to own a house you shouldn’t be allowed to own dogs. Dogs always tear up rental houses anyway. And renters typically leave the dogs out back barking all night long as well. If your dog is part of your family, then why the hell is the dog outback in the backyard barking and crying all night long? How many cases have we seen about tenants dogs destroying landlords houses? This dog owner is lucky the police weren’t there they would’ve shot and killed both of those dogs.

The small dogs are the ones that are more aggressive and I know they would bite.
