And then he tries to throw in some lawn mowing he got done once? lol...its like, dude - you are in the right, but are still pushing it. Also the Defendant should never own another dog EVER again. Clearly a terribly lazy and irresponsible dog owner, who does not really care about the dogs he owns.
@@JayJay-me8zk I kinda enjoyed it. The defendant used the same card in his main defense at start "my kids are devastated because my dogs were taken away". I really enjoyed when the plaintiff returned the favor lol.
He was on the ground, alone, attacked by two pit/rotties. The Rottweiler has the #1 bite force and a Pit doesn't bite and release, it bites and mauls (doesn't release). He's lucky he wasn't killed.
Theses people are just fools. Pit bulls are absolutely more prone to attacking regardless of how their owner raises them. They may be just fine with the family and people they know but strangers and other animals they will go after and cause more damage then most other dogs
It's not how the dog is raised, a friend of mine was a trainer, she had a 2 chows and one day the female chow started growling at her in the hall way of her home and sporadically attacked her, yet she had her for a couple years by then and was very loving towards her. it was shocking she ended up putting her down. It wasn't a disease they dont know why the chow attacked her but she thinks it was alpha female trying to assert her dominance over her and take over the pride so to speak. Chows were bred to fight.
Pit Rottie mix can be a lot of trouble. If that own couldn’t be bothered to leash them, why would anyone expect that he’d train them to be well behaved dogs
I had always heard that Chow's are ONE person dogs. They might be friendly with other persons and dogs, but they will only "LISTEN " to their ONE person. They also cannot or will not switch WHO that "one special person" is...
She's a trainer but not a dog behavior specialist which is levels above training. Training is sit, stay, heel, poop here etc. Since 2005 I've used the Cesar Milan method to help people rehabilitate aggressive dogs. Barking is one thing but growling is what happens right before the bite. The trainer missed sign after sign from DAY ONE that she was not dominant over the female Chow. Of course the Chow loved on her a lot. She gives it food, love, rewards, treats but no discipline. The Chow saw her as a submissive girlfriend not an authority figure dominant Mom.
agree he didn't have to do all that. but i still think he shoud have gotten the 5K even if he is a privileged land owner. it would be simple to put your dog on a leash.
Any breed of dog can be vicious and attack someone without the dog being provoked, but the Pit Bull breed is said to be far worse than others! The plaintiff was frightened of the approaching, unleashed barking dogs and the defendant is clearly at fault and needs to own up to it! I'm happy the plaintiff prevailed!
They're all the same. Every single time...same dogs...same type of owner. My friend has a pit and it's a danger to be around. She thinks her dog is wonderful but the lady's dog that it attacked (for no reason) probably doesn't think that.
RotiPits = Vicious dog potential!!! If you are going to have dogs like that then you have to keep them leashed. The defendant is an irresponsible dog owner. The people Harvey interviewed know little about this breed of dog. They are inherently prone to be vicious regardless of how they are raised. One wrong move can set them off.
The defendant blaming the plaintiff because the city told him he needed to follow the law and instead he got rid of the dogs..... I hope none of his kids gets suspended at school.....
if the plaintiff already knew about these dogs then why didnt he arm himself with some type of protection like pepper spray or a knife or even a gun if he was in a state where he can carry one legally more easily.
When you fall near a dog, the dog can be triggered into a prey response and attack. It eh dog is a pit bull it can attack with intent to kill. Bites from larger dogs can look like stab wounds in addition to punctures.
So am I, and I have an Italian mastiff😂. I started a RUclips page recently to share information, having hopes that if someone plans to get rid of their dog they may can find some useful information. It’s not the dogs fault majority of the time!! It’s sad all the dogs that get euthanized and mistreated daily🥺Please help me grow Pups channel💕🐾Maybe the more we support each other by giving advice the more dogs we can save together🤞🌍🤗
The dogs are Pit/Rottie mixes. Omg the size of a Rottie who has the #1 bite force combined with the fighting instinct of a Pit that mauls! The only answer is the Cesar Milan "Dog Whisperer" method or some other pro online. If this isn't done may god help the home they go to. I'm not a pro but I do it for free locally. The dogs have to be walked properly, dominated, disciplined, socilaized with people and dogs. 😀🦮🐕🦺
Maybe I was lucky, when I had a pit bull charge at me one time. It was loose and across the street, saw me, and made a beelline toward me. I stood my ground, called it in a welcoming tone and it just wanted to be petted and loved. Jumped around; very friendly.
The defendant knows he fucked up. Thats y he dont got much to say. Especially after seeing the puncture wounds. Hes reckless af. All he had to do was muzzle and leash but dude said nah ima just get rid of them. Wtf!? Clearly he is highly irresponsible and shouldnt own any dogs
The idea that the way a dog was raised dictates the way they will act is a fallacy. Certain breeds have a history of violent acts. It's been bred into them. No matter how they are raised, that capacity is right below the surface. Any dog can bite, but it's the amount of damage and savagery that certain breeds can inflict seperates them from other dogs. Pit bulls, Rottweilers, Canne Corso and a number of other breeds are often banned in cities because of this. Many homeowner's insurance companies will not insure you if you have any of these breeds.
True, it started in jolly 'ol England a couple hundred years ago by cruel people. Fortunately Cesar Millan since 2005 has taught us how to socialize Pits so they submit to other dogs and learn to be friendly. When someone adopts a Pit they better know whether it was bred to fight because it's a long term rehabilitation. If it wasn't then shaping it's behavior is easy.
The defendant is that typical type of guy with attitude. The type that says ": my kids never do wrong, I never do wrong , my dogs a sweat and never agressive. " . Sick of dog owners with big, agressive, dangerous dogs and big atittude. Never responsible, always excuses. If pitts are not dangerous or aggressive why do they kill chilfren, babies ?
If, the defendant truly cared for his dogs he would make sure they couldn't get out and hurt someone or get hit by a car. If your dogs are barking at someone you can't expect people to stand there be quiet and risk getting attacked. Glad the Plaintiff' won.
if you are ever attacked by a dog, coyote, wolf, try this put one foot out until the dog bites, yea it is going to hurt, but put your other foot on its head, then grab the tail and pull until you hear a cracking sound, its all over, works every time, I am an an old time trapper helps if you have good boots
One minor bite will not get your dogs taken from you or make you get rid of them. He did not want the hassle of dogs with an official bite history. If he had just paid the medical bills he would have paid less than the judgement. That is an OBVIOUS bite on the back of the hand. NO. No. NO money for food, cleaning, and lawncare. That is absurd. That stated, good Judgement.
I am so tired of society being duped into thinking "it is all how you raise the dog." While environment can have an impact on behavior, the vast majority of dog behavior is genetic. Border collies herd, Retrievers will retrieve, Pointers point, etc. You don't see any sheep farmers out there with chihuahuas herding the sheep and not because the chihuahua is small, but because it sucks at herding. You don't see Fila brasileiros as therapy dogs in the hospital because they would end up attacking, harming and potentially killing people due to their nature. The pitbull was bred for human entertainment--- blood sports. They were literally bred to attack other living creatures for the sick entertainment of humans. That is it. That was their purpose. They are NOT "nanny dogs", have never been and never will be nanny dogs. You can train a dog from a young puppy, doing all the right things and still have that dog's genetic tendencies come to the surface. You can't completely train the herding instinct out of a herding dog, the same holds true for other breeds. You might be able to minimize some of those behaviors but you can't remove instinct and genetics.
I’m a mail carrier and was attacked badly by a pit with THE BEST owners, she broke through the door and was out of their control for SECONDS. Since my attack I always say any can bite, but I’d never own a dog that I couldn’t overpower and has the potential to kill me.
While genetics does play a role, domestication has allowed humans to take control over genetics. Yes, some dogs are bred to do certain things, but that doesn't mean they have to. They can be trained to override those instincts. It is absolutely the owners responsibility to train the dog properly. Your anecdote doesn't hold up to all of the other anecdotes of people with pit bulls that do not attack people, are not aggressive, and have perfect histories of being family-friendly dogs. Don't interpret high activity for aggression.
@@AmberR3280 apparently, they weren't the best owners, were they? I don't know why you would say they're the best if their dog got out. That would qualify them as one of the worst. Highly irresponsible pet owners.
@@JeremiahLOsborne the dog broke the latch on the door, while they were standing on the outside of the door where I was, it happened in a split second. I work in Flint, MI, where pit bulls are prevalent and owners are generally negligent, these were superior dog owners that own a genetically aggressive dog.
For one pits WERE not originally bred to attack. They were used for hunting large game, and to hold whatever the hunter was hunting. Large game such as bears. It was after the laws changed, is when people started using pits for terrible reasons. Any dog owner no matter the breed of dog. Should be responsible enough to know that they are still a dog. With the potential of being able to bit and cause great harm.
Ok so wait…. If the guy doesn’t pay the 3,000 dollars what happens? Or does the court pay it? I heard somewhere that the people that do this show pays.
Yes the show pays the award but depending on the state there can be some serious consequences. I hope the plaintiff reported this. On average there are 7 million cases per year of "dog biting human". This guy was down and could have been hurt more seriously. Cali can be nutty on some regulations but they are spot on with dog bite cases. They cite you on the first bite (pay fine and/or pay all damages). If it happens again you're in court and fighting for your dogs life.
That looks like a bite mark to me. The plaintiff is VERY lucky that the dog did not do worse damage to his right hand. ( I.e. the guy is fortunate that he can still USE his hand.... Did the Defendants 'fear reaction" up the stakes, YEP, but those pittys were NOT under control. and if the plaintiff thinks so, he is DELUSIONAL. I'll even grant that the defendants OWN fear reaction against an aggressive dog contributed to his getting bitten, HOWEVER it is STILL on that bad owner that his dog BIT the man.
i'm going to dress like the defendant next time I go to court. Shirt tucked in the front for court when I come in, and hanging out the back for the streets when I walk out. Gangsta😎
Why is it always renters that have their dogs running around loose biting people. If you can’t afford to own a house you shouldn’t be allowed to own dogs. Dogs always tear up rental houses anyway. And renters typically leave the dogs out back barking all night long as well. If your dog is part of your family, then why the hell is the dog outback in the backyard barking and crying all night long? How many cases have we seen about tenants dogs destroying landlords houses? This dog owner is lucky the police weren’t there they would’ve shot and killed both of those dogs.
Yeah, total bs. He used to manipulate his mother with the tears. He held it together the whole time and then when judgement came he turned into a little boy, hoping to gain sympathy to twist the verdict in his favor.
There will always be irresponsible owners. Its just the pit bull is more destructive than most dogs so you notice it more. What can a tea cup poodle or a corgi do to you of it roamed free?
If I own a property that I have to go to and have had problems with aggressive dogs in the past, I don't go back to that property without protection of some sort. Read into it what you want. It is MY property and I should NOT have to be afraid to visit my own property. If the dogs have to be put down so be it. If the local policing authority can't or won't help, I am more than willing and capable of protecting myself. I have and will most likely do it again. I can't stand someone who is not willing to control a pet! Dogs, cats, livestock or whatever. It is YOUR DUTY to control your animals! If you can't or won't, I will help you when they are on my property.
Almost every single dog attack case involves a pit bull, yet most people defend them and say that they're not more aggressive or more dangerous than other breeds.
Pitbulls aren’t anymore aggressive then any other unsocialized dogs with irresponsible owner’s unfortunately those are the majority of people that own them
Okay. The scoreboard is 10K to 1 on the single-mom vs single-dad competition. 😂 Maybe we should give him 1.5 points since he mustered up some"tears". 🙄
It is a fact that small-breed dogs actually are more aggressive and tend to bite more often than large breeds. The issue is that large breeds due to their size can inflict more damage. I have large aggressive dogs Bull massive and two Sharpei (No pits though) and I also have two small dogs which are beagle and chihuahua mix. The small dogs are the ones that are more aggressive and I know they would bite.
Well stated, most people tend to shrug off a bite from a Yorkie and need medical care from a Pitt bite. Size and strength. Aggressive or not, the results are not the same for the victim.

I'm so sorry this happened and you're a brave hero who fought back wisely! That's the breed that killed the lady in SF years ago. It was a national story. You've made a great comeback. Who was the owner?? @@mauriiispacehead
I glad these dogs are not in the defendant home any longer and hopefully they have a responsible owner now that will let them be their best selves and not put them in bad situations again.
Glad these plaintiff got money for pain and suffering because that was clearly a dog bite
Defendant walked in looking dapper
Totally on the Plaintiffs side here - but at the end when he started getting emotion about being a single dad, and having to take his daughter out for dinner or whatever...couldnt help but roll my eyes. And then he tries to throw in some lawn mowing he got done once? lol...its like, dude - you are in the right, but are still pushing it. Also the Defendant should never own another dog EVER again. Clearly a terribly lazy and irresponsible dog owner, who does not really care about the dogs he owns.
The defendant just seems like a defeated man
Professional victim.
look at the swelling on the back of the hand! THAT's the part that hurts...
What the heck was he crying for? 😂
He couldn't cook and clean for his daughter....single father.
Had to play the single parent card 🙄
@@JayJay-me8zk I kinda enjoyed it. The defendant used the same card in his main defense at start "my kids are devastated because my dogs were taken away". I really enjoyed when the plaintiff returned the favor lol.
He was on the ground, alone, attacked by two pit/rotties. The Rottweiler has the #1 bite force and a Pit doesn't bite and release, it bites and mauls (doesn't release). He's lucky he wasn't killed.
That dog owner was like whatever. He wasn't sorry
I run a rescue and love most breeds. There are VERY few breeds I won’t take into the rescue but chows are one. Belgian Malinois is another.
@@marystarr3025 There are plenty of one person dogs out there and they don’t resort to aggression. Chows are just aggressive dogs
"I should cross my pitbulls with something, to make them less aggressive. I know. Rotties will do the trick."
I’m happy the plaintiff won but for some reason, the tears didn’t seem genuine to me
agree he didn't have to do all that. but i still think he shoud have gotten the 5K even if he is a privileged land owner. it would be simple to put your dog on a leash.
he thought this was a soap opera lol
When he started to “cry” I eye rolled so HARD!!
Meh, I think as a man he’s being held to an impossible standard. There’s nothing wrong with getting choked up, there were no tears.
He explained at the end that he was thinking about what if it had been his daughter. Seems legit to me.
Those look like puncture/bite wounds to me!!!
Good judgement
RotiPits = Vicious dog potential!!! If you are going to have dogs like that then you have to keep them leashed. The defendant is an irresponsible dog owner. The people Harvey interviewed know little about this breed of dog. They are inherently prone to be vicious regardless of how they are raised. One wrong move can set them off.
Wth is the Plaintiff crying for? Best performance for Plaintiff in a dog case and the award goes to...lmbo
FYI, no one pays anything to anyone on this show. The show pays them, so there is never any real punishment.
Never tell a pit bull to "talk to the hand". Lesson learned.
The defendant is one big walking & talking EXCUSE!!! He didn't deserve those dogs!
Judge Judy absolutely wrecks shitbull owners
He’s clearly a crappy owner.
Plaintiff resembles the Judge's husband.
🤔 I see it too
Harvey did not buy that mans tears lol
The defendant blaming the plaintiff because the city told him he needed to follow the law and instead he got rid of the dogs.....
I hope none of his kids gets suspended at school.....
if the plaintiff already knew about these dogs then why didnt he arm himself with some type of protection like pepper spray or a knife or even a gun if he was in a state where he can carry one legally more easily.
That dog owner is totally delusional if he didn't think that was a dog bite!
First id like to say that they do not stitch dog puncture wounds..period
Pit and Rottweiler mix. What could go wromg?
Harvey asks the same question when it's a pit bull case
So true! Harvey serves no purpose at all. No matter what kind of case, he always has the same standard question to fit the circumstances.
The most irresponsible and lax folks who seem like they struggle to take care of themselves always have dogs....its soooo unnecessary
Good morning y'all!
Morning!
☕ Happy Monday
Good Morning boo!
Its evening here, hi from the Netherlands ❤😂
Morning from nyc 🎉
When you fall near a dog, the dog can be triggered into a prey response and attack. It eh dog is a pit bull it can attack with intent to kill. Bites from larger dogs can look like stab wounds in addition to punctures.
The fact of how the dependant is dressed for court tells you everything you need to know about his character. Laxildaysical.
He's precious. Protect him at all cost lol (& I am a dog owner/lover/advocate but I understand having a fear of loose dogs completely)
Doug, do NOT encourage that irresponsible oaf to get more dogs.....
Plaintiff is so dramatic with the “I can’t cook story”
True...that was a bit over the top...lol
Ya so instead of fixing the dog issue he just rehomes them so it can happen again.
He did not want to deal with dogs with a Bite Record. Easier to get rid of them than leash them.
probably sent them to "a friends" so he can visit them and maybe get them back after the case.
What if those dogs attacked a small child. That is a horrible thought
💯
Its cheaper not to have dogs at all.. 😂😂
One day, I'm going to start a metal band named Vicious Propensities. There's nothing under that name in Discogs.
Pit Bull aggressiveness, it's in their DNA.
Yes - only a matter of time before they bite someone or worse....
When the Plantiff started crying.....AND SCENE
I would have given him $5000
Was that Superstar Billy Graham
sitting in the audience behind plaintiff?
The defendant is that typical type of guy with attitude. The type that says ": my kids never do wrong, I never do wrong , my dogs a sweat and never agressive. " . Sick of dog owners with big, agressive, dangerous dogs and big atittude. Never responsible, always excuses. If pitts are not dangerous or aggressive why do they kill chilfren, babies ?
The comments tell me some people should only own goldfish, plants, or pet rocks.
This case made me cry when he brought up his daughter 😢
People who say pitbulls arent more aggressive are absolutely mindless
If, the defendant truly cared for his dogs he would make sure they couldn't get out and hurt someone or get hit by a car. If your dogs are barking at someone you can't expect people to stand there be quiet and risk getting attacked. Glad the Plaintiff' won.
The plaintiffs sad story was so crappy i could tell he was lying to get more money!
OMG. A PITBULL???? Noooooo wayyyyyyyyuyyy
Sigh A Single Mom first of all would of stood still when dogs rush at you & could handle making dinner with a big boo boo
if you are ever attacked by a dog, coyote, wolf, try this put one foot out until the dog bites, yea it is going to hurt, but put your other foot on its head, then grab the tail and pull until you hear a cracking sound, its all over, works every time, I am an an old time trapper helps if you have good boots
He had troubles in his town is why his dogs were taken, this was not the first case of dog bite from the defendant's dogs.
@@trekgirl65 they were not taken, he got rid of them
I am so tired of society being duped into thinking "it is all how you raise the dog." While environment can have an impact on behavior, the vast majority of dog behavior is genetic.
The show pays the awards.
Gangsta😎
😂😂
He can't tuck in the shirt since the pants were down to his ankles, trying to look like a street thug.
Seems to be a status symbol to own a pit bull. I guess it's like owning a Harley, there's no logical reason other than that.
The tearworks when it came down to his daughter 😅😂
and you think it's funny ?
Yeah, total bs. He used to manipulate his mother with the tears. He held it together the whole time and then when judgement came he turned into a little boy, hoping to gain sympathy to twist the verdict in his favor.
@@Maya.6868yes 😂😂😂
It is how they are bred for violence not the breed duh.
Pits bulls should be illegal to own
Lmao somebody give him an Oscar the crying was a bit much
Why do the most irresponsible dog owners ALWAYS have pit bulls?
They see themselves prancing down the street with a beautiful powerful animal. But in reality, the dog probably has more sense than they do.
There will always be irresponsible owners. Its just the pit bull is more destructive than most dogs so you notice it more. What can a tea cup poodle or a corgi do to you of it roamed free?
Plaintiff seems like a shmuck but that still doesn’t excuse the defendant not ensuring his dogs didn’t get out
History of not leashing his dogs and he knew they would run away to confront someone. Plaintiff should have gotten 5k! Minimum 4k
Yeah, like I don't really don't care what they say about their own dogs...some dogs are more aggressive and dangerous.
Pitbulls aren’t anymore aggressive then any other unsocialized dogs with irresponsible owner’s unfortunately those are the majority of people that own them
Give a break guy is cry saying has a daughter and couldn't cook. No on eatting out.
Okay. The scoreboard is 10K to 1 on the single-mom vs single-dad competition. 😂
Maybe we should give him 1.5 points since he mustered up some"tears".
My dogs are very small they are not aggressive because they are loved, they are very nice and they like people a lot.
Is it Mastiff? Serious question.
