Hi
"You know, in Gotham we do things differently. We don't kill mass murderers."

Marv is the goat
I do love it's canon that after Red Hood purged theh Drug Dealers in gotham, crime has permanently been slightly lower.
"Explains places death count."
If Punisher operated in Gotham crime rates in Gotham would have been reduced by at least 80% .
no, things is gonna be way more worst. Criminal gonna be more crazy, more unpredictable, and even you kill some top notch like joker or riddler, there’ll be some evil bastard replace them with much more cruelty. Cause now they know it’s death or alive.

It's brilliant how quickly Joker's 'crazy' shtick gets dropped when he meets someone who won't play along and buy into the grift.
Except in the canon DC universe Joker literally is so insane he has no fears.
Nolan Joker : Why So Serious.
well, it's like Jason Todd said to Joker once, when he was setting up a three way confrontation between him and Batman "I know your secret. Sure, you're crazy....but you're not THAT crazy." Joker wasn't laughing for that line. Same thing with Harley Quinn, really. She was always more than a manic pixie sidekick/brainless moll.
@@alexsolomon8127 Yeah, it's a con. And it makes Joker MORE evil, because he's perfectly sane - but plays the system and manipulates the empathy and decency of those around him to keep getting away with his antics. I do wish Batman would just get wise to it, though.
@@louthegiantcookie oh, he knows. you forget though..HE"S INSANE TOO.
I like how punisher doesn’t care if he kills people and that genuinely scared joker
Can't toy with Batman if you are dead. Joker always sees the battle between him and Batman is an ideological battle. But the Punisher doesn't want to debate. He's only concerned with one thing that is Joker must die.
Punisher is violence and the answer is yes.
I think its because joker lives to break rules, especially Batmans. What he clearly doesn't realise is the punisher doesn't have any, other than "punish the evil and wicked" 😂 the punisher is like the boogeyman to a dude like the joker 😂
This why Nolanverse Joker is the only one true Joker unlike the comic book Joker he is only one who actually broke Batman and doesn't fear death maybe beacuse he was an ex soldier. I think Nolanverse Joker would laugh at Comic's Joker pathetic attemp's to break Batman.
@@Resident4Island Nolan's Batman did something several times worse than murder (using mass surveillance and interference with the legislation) even without making Batman committing murder, the trilogy Joker won.
The punisher is right. Absolutely right.
I'm a batman fan but he is right. Once again, the batman allows the joker to get away due to self righteousness. The result is more will die.
Castle is right. They deserve each other.
Took the words right out of my mouth.
Batman has outright saved the Joker's life on numerous occasions, including now. Bruce is not just metaphorically but directly responsible for everything The Joker does.
@immortalfrieza that's why I like the moment in dark knight returns where he acknowledged it
Batman too is a mental ill guy. If he don't kill its not because it will not solve problems, in cases like Joker who cares about a second, third, or billonth chance to redeem himself the important thing is to take him out of the range of innocent people, and thousands of times jails don't keep him locked a long time.
Batman fear to become a psycho like Joker if he kill, and in some universes it effectively happens.
@@FradthThe only reason it happens in those universes is because of dumb writers. The only excuse I can give is Batman Who Laughs, since when Joker died, he released Joker Toxin onto Batman upon death.
Reminds me of an exchange between Spawn & Joker in Mortal Kombat:
*Spawn:* "Your angel of death awaits."
*Joker:* "You can't kill me! Heroes have moral codes!"
*Spawn:* "Who said I was a Hero?"
An actual hero would be willing to kill The Joker, not to mention anybody else. That's part of being a hero, being willing to do whatever is necessary to stop villains like Joker from harming people, including killing them.

But All Might failed because he didn't make sure AFO was fully dead. And we can see in MHA All Might had more than enough conviction to kill AFO the second time around despite failing and sending AFO to prison. Since All Might recieved a grave blow to his chest or torso in his first battle against AFO, All Might was losing the ability to use his power over time, so the second battle was more or less the last time All Might delivered a powerful blow using up the rest of his power. (P.S. the first MHA movie with deku in the battle against Wolfram where All Might used his power was something else and I don't wanna delve too deeply 😅)
One thing I don't like about this run is that the writers forget that the Punisher is a Martial artist. He has studied eight different martial arts and trains to an extreme level. His fighting style should not be anger fueled brawling.
thats what i hate about comic writers they would always nerf a character whens its convenient for the plot
@@carlosvasquez1947 exactly. While Batman should be the better hand to hand combatant it should not be one sided and it should show that the Punisher is trained and disciplined in hand to hand combat.
Well did you stop to think maybe this isn't that same Punisher?
Even beyond this, Frank has received extensive hand to hand training both due to his time in Marine Force Recon and canonically cross training with DELTA and SAS. While Batman would be better, Punisher would prove challenging nonetheless.
Ennis never wrote the punisher that way and his is the most iconic.
If you fuse Punisher and Batman, you get Flashpoint Batman.

@@ColdNorth0628 why did he stop punisher from doing it then?
Yeah, the Joker is lucky the only hero who deals with him is Batman. There are quite a few heroes who simply wouldn't bother with Joker's bullshit and would just kill him.
Batman didn’t stop Punisher from killing random goons but did stop him from killing the mass murderer who organizes them.
Sure, Castle murders bad people, but Batman IS a Direct accomplice of Joker. He chooses not to cripple him, put him in a chair forever, or make him a quadriplegic, or take care of him permanently. Nope, instead he chooses to allow the psychopath who is also a master Houdini to continue killing.
He does that by letting the judicial system do its job. Faith in the system is the only way Gotham doesn't need a Batman. Everyone blames Batman like there are dozens of cops, judges, attornies, and psychiatrists that couldn't have done something. Even just deciding he's fit for trial and doesn't need to go to Arkham. Send him to Black gate to wait for the electric chair. Some cop or former victim assassinate him anywhere. They'd probably get found not guilty.
Joker in 1989, Batman Beyond, and Arkham Asylum very unlucky...
Michael Keaton's Batman didn't make that mistake...
@@bryanwoods3373 After the dozenth time the judicial system fails to have The Joker executed for his crimes and/or fails to effectively incarcerate him, it very much does become Batman's fault.
@@immortalfriezadoesn't Batman have high influence , fame, money and power huh? And he has the capacity to improve the laws and Judicial system. Batman is the reason why Gotham is suffering from crime and only if Batman used it's powers it will be a lot more different.

Love the line “got all the therapy you need right here.”
Joker had his smile wiped off there, realized Frank wasn’t fucking around.
I like the fact that, although we can debate on whether or not Punisher should be considered a hero or not, it’s clear that someone like Batman would undoubtably see Frank castle as a madman who needs to be stopped. it just makes a lot of sense judging by Batman‘s moral compass that he would feel this way.
He is pretty much a Jason Todd Red Hood in his eyes and we already knows he doesn’t tolerate that.
Nah, he's better than a hero. Dude actually removes POS of the earth. Not try to "rehabilitate" them (actual serious crimes. Not petty ones). Like the time he beat a human trafficker.
Dude, you should read punisher max, it explains a lot of the character, in a monologue he himself tells how he has a nightmare in wich he kills every murderer, every rapist, every corrupt politician to then ask who let those people live in the first place, to wich he points the gun to the average guy and he wakes up as he feels the recoil.
@@bimates2690 which can only leave behind a power vacuum.
You need to understand what punisher does is short term and can only make escalation an answer. It does not dispell them, only weeds the weaker ones out.
To say he is better also seems to forget that he himself would kill anyone for any reason, big or small.
Moral compass? Batman is a violent narcissist that uses trauma to justify his actions. Dude beats criminals within an inch of their life and throws them in Arkham.. A place where villains escape on the daily. And he knows this. There is no way he doesn't with all the info he has at his disposal. He does this so he can keep up the charade. Ffs how long has he been batman yet, Gotham is still a cesspool of crime? He's a billionaire playboy and what does he do? Does he use he wealth to fix his beloved city? No, he spends money of high tech vehicles and secret bases so he can dress up and beat dudes up while dressed as a bat. Batman IS a villain. Or at the very least criminally insane.
Absolutely love when DC and Marvel come together. What a time to be alive !

I like how in recent decades that DC has at least tried, and somewhat succeeding, in showing a good reason as to not kill The Joker as with Injustice Superman, Batman Who Laughs, Three Jokers, and Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, that whoever takes out Joker will be the next Joker, or something worse than the Joker ever was.
Imagine what would happen if the people of Gotham found out that Batman stopped Castle from killing the Joker. He absolutely didn't need to save the Joker here but he did so anyway. The people of Gotham would hang up with his own cape.
I’m tired of the stories showing Batman as a dumbass. I want more like the time he just let Joker die and went to save Harley Quinn (who was trying to kinda start anew at the time I think) and Joker just blew up.
I've always had a theory Harley was a victim of jokers chemical expertise . My evidence bieng from the 90s cartoon Harley and the victims both have yellow cat eyes and teeth .
And a wide smile . I think the make up she uses is laced because the cartoon is kinda based on the 89 movie and joker tainted beauty supplies and thats why batman was so quick to trust her . Because he knows that deep down she cant live with what she did and needs to atone and at the same time own that persona and also at this point the chemical damage is permant but not so serve that shes a unrealable family member 🤔
Can someone please tell me why they don’t just lobotomize Joker already like they did in that one episode of Justice League? It made him sane in that timeline!
Because it wouldn’t make for a good comic. Plus they did it once why again
That's the real answer. People keep blaming Batman, but Joker would already be dead in a more real world. He was supposed to die in his first appearance. No one truly stays dead in the comics.

I wish a crossover like this was possible nowadays as a result of Injustice and the dark multiverse existing in DC comics that gives us Injustice Superman, and The Grim Knight who are what Frank Castle is, but who didn’t stop and became worse monsters than those they were fighting against. It be interested to see someone like The Punisher confront these individuals, where it be like looking into a mirror and it challenging him on where does he cross the line to not become like these twisted individuals, or if what those like Batman, Spider-Man, Daredevil, and etc have actual substance in why they don’t like like he does.

Everyone, the whole “Batman should kill joker” thing is getting old. There are other human beings (and some questionably humanish people) in Gotham capable of this and since nobody at any point was ever owed anything by Batman; he can do his thing, his way. He’s under no obligation to save or end any life, maybe the police should hire better marksmen. Or y’know, start involving US government agencies (he’s definitely crossed into domestic terrorism)
Funny how this argument *never* comes across with other heroes and their villains some of which are existential dangers to the very planet
a mad clown with bombs seems a lot less important now, doesn’t it? Almost… comical.
Batman vs the Joker is done, old news. Batmans ideals are to save people, yet he has failed. Repeatedly. If we were using real logic the Joker would get the death penalty ages ago, no contest. The only people who would defend him are just as insane. As for there being no outside interference blame the self contained story, or plot hole.
How would you end an existential threat anyway, without A force greater than or equal to it? I would tread carefully as there atleast.
Every story has to have an ending eventually.
Batman's ideal is to heal Gotham. Saving people is just a byproduct. His no kill rule is because he's creating faith in the system. If the police and courts do their jobs, there's much less need for a Batman. Gotham has become a lot less corrupt with the mobs losing power.
@@Grey_World1 way to say much and yet nothing at all. Yes the meta commentary of comics needing to be sold so no *real* consequences happen has been addressed, ad nauseum. What I mean to say is, what a useless answer. The existential threat was more of an aside for emphasis not the main argument but to address it quickly, they *do* go for greater forces so idk what you’re talking about “treading carefully” (coming from the guy saying vigilantes should just start breaking necks essentially, imma lol) and as for the “failed repeatedly” part, that’s *always* been a part of any superhero dude. They know they *can’t* always save everyone, the *point* is that they keep trying no matter what. And most people (and thus the heroes) feel the ending of any life shouldn’t be decided by one person under rule of law. Could any hero decide suddenly to become Judge, Jury, and Executioner? Yes. How does that sound in practice though? That’s what I thought. “If I justify one, how many more will I justify?” Talk about treading carefully. Ps the hero you seem to be looking for started a regime in the Injustice universe.

@@Grey_World1 In the real world the feds and the CIA would have assassinated joker 100 times over
Your no-kill argument works for normal people. But NOT the Joker. Dude is literally the devil in human form. Every other one of Batman’s villains has some base level of humanity that gives them a chance at redemption, EXCEPT for the Joker. The whole “if he kills this one guy, he might as well kill everyone in the universe!” (((argument))) ONLY applies to Batman, because he’s insane, just as insane as the Joker, and that’s the kind of twisted logic his brain uses to justify his harmful morals. Punisher has killed basically every single one of his villains, and the Marvel universe hasn’t ended yet, so it’s obviously a Batman problem, not a killing problem.
Reminder that he actually killed Joker in TDKR, because, in his own words, “All the people I’ve killed… by letting you LIVE!” And the story doesn’t magically end after he kills him. Instead Batman moves on, because letting the Joker live was his biggest character flaw, and thus bringing himself to kill him without going insane himself is simply logical character development. It’s a grown man, putting aside his personal issues and trauma, in order to save countless people from an objective evil. In what world is that NOT good character development?
Joker would bop Punisher so hard in reality. Batman is like the only guy Joker deals with that isn't a murderer. He cows the entire underworld and other villains regularly and those guys kill.
None of those guys are disciplined though. And Joker just recently got chased out of Gotham by Riddler, Black Mask, and some other fools. They got tired of his foolishness, put guns on him and told him to beat it. Punisher would have that clown outlined in chalk his first day in Gotham, quick enough for it to make it on the evening news. I'm sure Vicky Vale would love to cover that story. lol
