I have to say the more I see of Floor, the more convinced I am. She can hit all the notes Tarja could, whilst at the same time seeming at least as at home in a rock environment as Annette ever did; she may juts be Nightwish's perfect frontwoman. And my god is she tall! A bona fide Amazon...
I think that Floor's voice -just like Tarja's- is a powerful weapon in Tuomas' hands and therefore the future for Nightwish looks now brighter than ever before!
I always find it funny that people keep comparing Floor to Tarja and say that Tarja has better range and is better trained. Quite honestly... Tarja really isn't a great opera singer. She's good, sure... but I happen to really like opera and she can't compare to most sopranos. Go listen to Kathleen Battle and then you'll hear a truly great soprano. Now Floor, she can sing... really sing. She doesn't sound awkward singing softly like Tarja did and she can ROCK!

Sorry, I had a little problem , oh and I want to excuse me for my bad english. I just wanted to say that floor fits perfekt in the band. Also anette is a very good singer, but to little energy, she had a rough time as she replaced Tarja. All three ladies have their own style, and in my opinion floor is the best singer, she's just fantastic because she can sing everything and this power.....
Wonder if they will do the equivalent of what iced earth did and rerecord vocals for all tracks on dark passion play and imaginarium with Floors vocals? :P
I saw Floor live with her own band, Revamp, a couple of weeks ago. She really is a good singer, but Nightwish needs to find the right sound for her so she can prove how good she truly is. But didnt Annet had that problem too?
Floor's is actually strogner and with a lot more variate. Some years back when Tarja was with NW it wasnt that way, but now it is. IMO mainly because Floor continued to improve as a metal singer while Tarja's project( while i dont follow it) is a softer metal compared to NW

I don't think Tarja put up with Tuomas's crap too quietly, which is what lead to her being kicked out of the band and accused of being a diva, which she isn't. But, that's just my opinion from what I've observed. :)
You seem to lack any idea of Nightwish or Floor/ReVamp... Floor is going on Tour with ReVamp next year (album end of this year) she absolutely wont stay in Nightwish so there is nothing to be happy about....
Tarja is without a doubt a fantastic singer - but every song opera.... I'm sorry but for me it's gettin more and more boring . And all members of the band have really fun because floor sings tuomas songs
Well she can always put Revamp on hiatus because it's more of a hobby and a way for her to publish her own songs. I don't think she can make a living out of touring with Revamp when they have to beg for money (for touring) on Kickstarter.
