@Ariel Wainzinger Honestly dude that happened to me I was dealing with serious depression at that time and anxiety. Then one day by accident I came across ghost love score with Floor. Listening to her singing I never felt that wave of emotion. Since than I became huge fan I no longer have depression and anxiety tnx to Nightwish. They gave me huge motivation to keep going I started singing and playing guitar and I can't wait to see them live next year.
I remember seeing Nightwish live in 2004 and there was also After Forever playing in the same city a couple days before and I remember seeing Floor on stage and thinking she'd be perfect in Nightwish if Tarja leaves. At the Nightwish gig she was in the crowd headbanging just enjoying it with everyone. When you see her on stage she seems like a goddess (rightfully so) but, she's actually one of us and that's what makes her special. She's a true metalhead.

Still prefer Tarja for early NW songs. Ghost Love Score, Nemo, Ever Dream never as good with Floor. Floor's good but just not as subtle and sensitive. Would like to hear Elan sung by Tarja with her full on opera voice

Since you decided to make this journey with us, here is some info that may help you navigate (a short history of the band, concentrated by Ann Waychoff):
Nightwish was started in 1996.They are considered a female fronted symphonic metal band. They are from Finland.
Tuomas Holopainen, the keyboard player, composes and writes the lyrics for 95% of their music. Marco Hietala is the Bassist and vocals .And there is the guitarist Emppu Vuorinen . Then there is Troy Donockley from UK who is a multi-instrulmentalist and vocals. Jukka Nevalainen is the drummer. In 2015 due to Jukka's health issues Kai Hahto became the drummer and as of now is a permanent addition.
Nightwish has had three singers. 1st one was Tarja Turunen (Operatic vocals). She was with them until 2005. The 2nd one was Anette Olzon from Sweden (Poppy, strong vocals). She was with them until 2012.The 3rd and current singer is Floor Jansen, from Netherlands (power, operatic, soprano.....most versatile) - you just saw her.
There are live concerts that you should use depending on what era. From Wishes to Eternity and End of an Era (Tarja), Montreux Festival live 2012 and Exit Festival (Anette), Live at Wacken 2013, Live at Wembley, Live at Tampere, Vehicle of Spirit live (Floor). I hope this helps.

I had to come back and watch you hear and fall in love with Floor for the first time! What a ride!
Floor is so ridiculously amazing. And you are totally getting it. The whole band is on another level. And they have been for a long time. But they have found the ultimate female front woman maybe ever. Her stage presence is kind of unmatched. Just the physical aspect of her, about 6'1, but vocally she is gigantic as well. this has not happened many times.
she's awesome - hard to believe this was one of her first performances with Nightwish too as it was just after Anette was fired - she made me fall back in love with nightwish after Tarja while Tarja is like a fine wine Floor is a pint of lager with whiskey on the side. love all of them. Saw them in 2018, she's made it her own and is far more polished and you can tell, all the band are interconnected and loving life.
don't know what it is with dutch ladies but they are very suited to metal, Simone Simons (epics), Sharon Den Adel (within temptation) and Dianne van Giersbergen (part time xandria) are all vocal beasts too

You know, I finally saw Nightwish live last year as a birthday present for their Decades tour. It was magical. The first time I got to see them since I became a fan (and Tarja was still a member, so, yeah, a long time). I was blown away. I cried a lot, too, and I shouted like a banshee during most of the show, and I was going crazy even though I was in a seat and everyone around me was just chilling. Magical. Still can't believe I saw them for real.
Anyway, yeah, Floor is a goddess. Her joining Nightwish really is a dream come true.
I don't know how I manage to live without listening to nightwish 24/7

That was my reaction as well when I saw this for the first time, since Anette, their previous singer, doesn't even do it on the album. Not to hate on Anette, she has a great voice but she just isn't that versatile.

Nightwish has some of the best live videos, all the more so when Ms Jansen is singing.
We love Nightwish (with Floor) virgins. Every song from Wacken 2013 is better than the one before, and when you're done you can move on to the other three concerts live. It should keep you busy.

I had become a big fan of Nightwish right after Wacken 2013 show recommended from RUclips in 2016. I was like "What the hell is those Nightwish huh?" Now Floor is on my phone pic 🙃😂 and have bought their both last albums. I guess I fall in love so fast, as a gym addict I watched loooong ago motivation vids with Ronnie vs Arnold for million times, and there was a track Discord with Floor from After Forever. Though I love Tarja as well. 👌

Floor has massive amounts of experience and discipline as a touring singer and as a vocal coach in her own right. She is a work horse who can be relied on to be perfect every night. That's why she is so ideal for Nightwish; who always do huge, multi-year tours with each album.

I've seen some seriously talented frontmen/women live. Sharon den Adel, Bruce Dickinson, Michael Akerfeldt, Claudio Sanchez, Ville Valo, Alan Averill, Tarja and dozens of others over the years and Floor smashes them all. She's a force of nature. She's turned Nightwish into quite possibly the best live band on the planet.

What is also amazing is that she joined the band halfway through a tour, she had 2 days to learn 15 songs.... this show was only 5 months after joining

Going on a journey myself, since I'm mostly familiar with the two Anette albums. I wasn't really sold on Floor's performance of this one, that is until just before the last chorus and then again right after it. Awesome stuff!
She would not look out of place riding a pegasus bearing a mighty spear in the best way possible. She has officially made Valhalla my afterlife of. Choice
FYI, Wacken is a town in germany, its the world biggest metal event anually. the whole town gets transformed in multiple stages and areas only for metal of all kinds.
If you really wanna go there, be prepared... its a whole weekend, multiple bands, multiple stages and nearly 100k metalheads on close space. ;)
