Going to a Nightwish concert jumped to the top of my bucket list!
Discovered them about 2 years ago. Really didn't think someone could actually sound this good live. I was wrong. Went to a concert and it was really something else. Took my 18 year old son who doesnt really listen to this stuff and halfway through first song I asked what did he think and his response was "this is fu@$&%# awesome"...as he watched with a puzzled look on his face.

I recommend the whole fucking Wacken 2013 show. There is no weak spot in those ~100 minutes.
@@flashpeter625 you are so correct. The entire performance is epic. It was a magical night . I do believe this was her first stage appearance with this band as she was new and had only 48 hours to learn the setlist. All that being said, the entire band was flawless and Floor delivered one of her best performances ever. Check out Floor Jensen with her previous band Revamp song "Disdain". Also Floor and her sister Irene do a song together live it's called " who I am" you won't be disappointed.

Growling? Yours is an empty hope from the Nightwish cruise and a little bit in Ghost River from Wacken 2013. And I think you are going to like Markos singing, too. And at some time watch Floor in her old band ReVamp with "Disdain" from the Bloodstock festival. Mediocre quality, but still.

That "Bull-Head" is the symbol of Wacken Open Air(WOA), a Metal festival held the first week of August each year in a village of 1800 where up to 190 bands play over 9 stages for 3 or 4 days. It is one of the great Meccas of Metal and the place where any metal of any reputation wants to play. Only 82,000 tickets are sold to keep it manageable and they go on sale the day after the festival closes and sell out in less than 24 hours. So yeah 80,000+ metal-heads were under the Valkyrie Goddess's control this night from the main stage and man did she have a coming out party having just been made a member of the band!!!!She is the 3rd and LAST vocalist of Nightwish, if she ever left we would storm Finland to get to the band and then Sweden where she lives with her husband and daughter. This is the one of the GOLD standards to judge this band and LIVE at Wacken you don't get any better than this.
She growls but you have to hear the Banshee Scream of Terror at the end of Romanticide (ruclips.net/video/zz_7OCCQlXs/видео.html) and then Ghost River (ruclips.net/video/05eitd-EA6I/видео.html) both heavier metal songs that she and Marco nail again at Wacken...like we said one of the best concerts ever!!

Just FYI, that’s about 70 minutes into the show and Floor had been killin’ it the whole way already. Also, that’s 82 THOUSAND people hanging on her every note; so, no pressure on her to Bury that high note.... At 6’1 and 170 pounds Floor is a smiling, singing, dancing, enchanting, stage commanding Valkyrie; and to me at least, a gift from above. Seeing the whole video of this concert, Especially the Floorgasm changed my life. It made me start listening to music again. I love watching these reaction videos and my biggest hope is that people follow and enjoy the Symphonic Metal path I was led to. Welcome to it.

Floor has such a beautiful powerful voice with an incredible dynamic range. She has become my all time favorite singer and Nightwish is the band I would most like to see live. From Floor's first band (After Forever) I recommend Monolith of Doubt (live or studio) and The Evil That Men Do (live cover Iron Maiden). From her second band (Revamp) she does some nice aggression on Disdain. For Nightwish (and always check out the live videos), she does growls on Yours is an Empty Hope (live on Baltic Princess). Weak Fantasy (live at Tampere) and Shudder Before the Beautiful (live at Wembley) are also heavy. Romanticide (live at Wacken 2013) is really aggressive also. That is just a small sampling. For more epic, Poet and the Pendulum or 7 Days to the Wolves from Wembley, and Greatest Show on Earth from Tampere, or Last Ride of the Day from Wacken 2013. We'll talk about Epica and Within Temptatoin another day...

If you want to hear her growl: Yours Is An Empty Hope, live on the Nightwish Cruise. You will also note certain changes in looks and demeanor. No reason to be afraid: she still slays only metaphorically. 😗
One more thing: you mentioned adrenaline. Well, they have all been professional musicians for decades. For example Floor started singing in her first band (After Forever, check them out) in 1997, when she was 16. I read somewhere that she likes to enter the stage at the last possible moment in order to get her adrenaline levels UP.

I have been a couple weeks spent some time to watch reactions of this very track or video. I had a heart attck just a few days ago and therefor a lot of time to warch these-- I am OK thank you and recovering by the way. BAck to the topic, it is so fun to see when the song goes to 10.22 or so and see people get their very first Floorgasm!
You sir seem to be a fun guy! You'd fit perfectly in a Wacken audience. So if you ever come to visit (northern) Germany in summer: make sure you bought Wacken-Tickets the year before, it is sold out fast and in the last 13 years they always sold out!
Oh, and Germany itself is always worth the trip, too :)

I had never heard of Nightwish, stumbled upon them a few days ago, must’ve watched 100 or so reactions to this video, Floor is incredible, the drummer is out of this world crazy good, the bass guitar is fucking awesome, and damn he can sing too, the rhythm/lead guitar is mental, and the keyboard guy is just so in tune with everything. This is a great band.
I’ve watched the entire Wacken concert, it’s an absolute spectacle. I hope they come to Scotland, I will definitely be going.
I suggest Song Of Myself/ Wachen. It has one of the best breakdowns in metal. I can't get enough of it. It's my ringtone.

Yours is an Empty Hope (cruise or Wembley), 7 Days to the Wolves (Wembley), so many good songs ahead of you! Not to mention the whole Wacken 2013 concert (heck, all their live concerts) is amazing. It's worth watching the whole thing once you have reacted to the songs just to see the level of sustained excellence and effort they have live, and seeing how the songs interplay with each other in the setlist order.
