I'm so glad you've clipped this one. This is my most re-watched episode of EFAP! How this brain-dead critic has almost twice as many subs as Mauler is one of RUclips's biggest mysteries. Yes, I know she has been uploading since 2006, but so has Linkara, and he has a fraction of her sub count and makes far, far better content.

I love how she said that the movie was about two dude chasing one girl but mentioned that she had to look that up. So she didn’t find out what the story of the movie was she found out what the story of Mario as a whole was (seemingly she only looked at Odyssey judging from the way that she talks about it). So that wasn’t even the premise that she took away from watching it but instead she found out afterwards what the story of the games was and now just assumes that applies to the movie.
Now i miss the intro because i got blasted full force by Grace as soon as i clicked

I read the title of this vid and immediately started laughing. I think because she just recently put out her Acolyte Ep3 review... and you could have given that vid the exact same title 😄

Pixar and Dreamworks have made films worse than Illumination’s best, but their average films run circles around Illumination.
Dreamworks made Prince of Egypt - that single movie totally annihilates Illumination’s full work.

The best part is she tried to drag Mario Bros which then proceeded to make ONE BILLION DOLLARS and kept going so strong the butt hurt media for some reason tried to stop it from making anymore by writing stories about how you could watch it for free, etc. Was pretty messed up if you ask me.
Her one positive is the thing that kept me from going to see the movie in the first place. So much of the soundtrack was replaced with generic American movie trailer music. The biggest tragedy was "Driving Me Bananas" being replaced with, what was it, "Take On Me"? Hoping one day they'll release a directors cut or something with the original soundtrack intact.

I love that Fringy and the EFAP crew almost had a really interesting different reality mystery going on wondering why Fringy was seeing stars and outer space on his screen and no one else could see it, then MauLer accidentally fast-fowarded the video and everyone realized it was just a desync issue with Fringy being slightly further ahead
I know EFAP has covered some awful videos over the years but I still think her Suicide Squad one is the most painful.

Might be a personal thing, but I really hated the soundtrack. All the real-life music felt incredibly forced and not giving us a full Mario-Esque soundtrack was a mistake.
Bad casting too. Chris Pratt should disappear from mainstream movies forever and Jack Black isn't the best choice for Bowser. Oh, and why is Seth Rogen still able to find gigs ?
Yeah. I hate how everyone likes this movie. It's so underwhelming. A good quarter of it is wasting time with Kongs. The only one with any impact is Donkey Kong, and you can find a better reason to get him in the story.

I personally loved the movie, it's easily the best Illumination film to date, but I can definitely see why people wouldn't like it. My main criticisms are that it felt too short and there wasn't enough Luigi.
