Honestly, I'd have to say the Galactic Civil War, my main reason just being that it feels the most like Star Wars (if that makes sense). Also the 2015 Marvel comic reboot set in the war has some of my favourite storytelling in the franchise.
When I said I don't like the Clone Wars era, I wasn't clear in what I meant. I mean I don't enjoy the concept of the war itself, since I feel their aren't really any stakes because the CIS was doomed from the start. Despite all that, I love The Clone Wars series (and I thoroughly enjoy ROTS).
I think that's precisely what makes the Clone Wars all the more interesting: an engineered conflict where both sides were doomed from the start, set up to give rise to the Empire. The context expands far beyond that of an organized rebellion against an authoritarian regime.

The progression was slowed like that for the Beta and only the Beta. Progression is not locked only to loot crates by any means. Pay attention to what is being said instead of going around pouting because someone told you to.

Aside from the voice which many are speculating to be Ashoka Tano, if you look to the left side at 0:38 there is a Consular C70 frigate, which was never in the prequel movies to the best of my knowledge. It WAS, however, seen very commonly throughout the Clone Wars series.

nano3174 I highly recommend you look it up. It actually would fit perfectly. It simulates the full battle experience and gives a better perspective of the joints between the two. You can actually play it using the PlayStation home and downloading it. Like I said, I'm not a graphics guy in terms of textures or antialiasing, I just want to be able to see the guy if I I could see the guy, and I want solid gameplay. And that would give the most rock solid gameplay imaginable. Because it just feels like a normal fps with a star wars skin without it. It gives connection and some clarity to the situation. I am hopeful that at the very least we will be getting in atmosphere battles between land and air. Doesn't have to be directly going to space. But just some sort of interaction layer that gives an option for air superiority vs ground.

I think it was stated that both of their VA's did meet backup for some voice lines recently and EA has confirmed or at least heavily implied both would eventually be in the game.
Anakin I think is really likely at launch, Ahoska might be released later in a Clone Wars themed season.

Everybody complaining about a female pilot and Yoda flying a starfighter, while EA is giving the community the game they've been asking for. All era's, a new class-system, more heroes, more maps and free dlc.

For those complaining:
1) Most likely it's Ahsoka (and Anakin) we're hearing in the trailer.
2) Yoda _does_ fly a starfighter (he has his own personal variant of the Eta-2 Actis, but he's using the standard model in the trailer).
This is the best part about this game. Star Fighter Assault needs more maps.

Not sure what time period is the part where Anakin's 'voice' can be heard but isn't Darth Vader Anakin? If so, then it would be stupid to include Anakin as an announcer but make Darth Vader a playable character.

Not entirely sure, but I believe its cannon have there were some non-clone Republic soldiers. They might be using that as an excuse to have minor character customization.

The current datamined ships for the Republic are the ARC-170, V-Wing, and old Y-Wing. No Z-95s at release.
The ship classes are Fighters(ARC-170,X-Wing,Vulture,TIE/LN,etc), Inteceptor(V-Wing, A-Wing, TIE/IN,Tri-Fighter) and Bombers(Y-Wings, Hyena Bombers, TIE Bombers). Also special hero ships and hopefully some other stuff as Special Forces classes like B-Wings, TIE Defenders/Hunters,etc.
I think Fight Customization could include that, Instead of ARC-170, you can use Z-95, and instead of V-Wing, V-19 Torrent
they should have put more love into it, instead of just worrying about getting as much money out of us as possible, tremendous crap they launched

Ya but unlike OG Battlefront 2 you can't land in the hangars, you can't actually board the enemy ship and you can't use the turbolasers. I'm pretty sure it'll just be a slightly bigger version of the Space Battle from the Death Star DLC.
FuZaH we still have a small chance, in the video we get a "structural failure imminent" on 0:30 which could at least give us a battle against 2 ships as we shoot their bridges and stuff like original bf2 when you destroy the shields or it might show a part where the shields are already down. Which might make a cool operations mode where you first Do a ground battle in the enemy ship to destroy the shields then a space battle if you destroy the shields.
I'd like space battles in the style of Crimson Skies, but I guess this'll do.

That's because all you wanted was Instant Action, the game mode exists for people such as yourself who just want to get boots on the ground and bullets in their enemies.
Galactic Conquest is for the more strategic players who want more than just shooting. Having the abilities to move your fleets in a Chess-like fashion, choose special abilites for your troops, decide which troops to use on the battlefied, and claiming the galaxy planet by planet are things that interest strategy oriented players such as myself.
Having more modes is only going to increase their profit.

The fact that you had more gameplay mechanics and had to use your brain to form strategies outside of the battles like do i take over X planet to get speeders or do i bet it all and go for Y planet to get walkers etc
I think the concept behind galactic conquest is what we all want. Being able to build a fleet, buy troops and upgrades while conquering your enemies planets until your faction controlled the galaxy, just seems like a really fun gamemode. However I also remember how repetitive it got, and how some planets were totally unbalanced like kashyyk or Endor with there infinite spawning help. I think if they added a mode like operation from Battlefield 1 accept they throw in space battles to make it feel more like an invasion would work just as well.
They added Anakin Skywalker as hero, but not his Starfighter?!
