Of all the woodworking videos on RUclips yours are a “stand out”. You make it so easy for novice woodworkers to understand, the cutting list, very well paced build, basic tools, not to mention the affordability & useful nature of your projects. Thank you so much.
I just discovered your channel and I've found 2 things I want to attempt already! I'm a woman whose always wanted to learn how to build things and your videos are so thoughfully and easily laid out it gives me the confidence to try! Thank you!
Nice, very creative... I will probably put support blocks in between for my version of this and ill see if i can punch hole and put some wires in between. Thanks
I have 2 benches and will be building a 3rd one, but I still end up on the floor sometimes. I get into a zone and go primitive when the bench is cluttered. 😅😅😅
I am a beginner woodworker and I love your videos. Most videos of so-called "simple" furniture making will require the use of a table saw. I am assuming that many of us don't have that sort of equipment. However, a circular saw, and a power drill/driver, which I assume most of us have, will allow anyone to construct any of the furniture shown on your videos.
I would suggest cutting the inside side pieces to fit the box instead of suspending it with the trim pieces. Just to be sure it's sturdy. It doesn't need attached and only on the piece at the bottom. The trim will hold it on place. That's just what I would do. Great project!!!! I may attempt this. At work, they hold raffles for our charity projects. We help the schools provide summer break lunches, help with the local foster agency etc etc This would be a great raffle item.
Hi There! I am wanting to make this table but have it be 48 W 30 H and 12 3/4 D. However, I am unsure if I am updating the measurements properly. Would my cut list be: (2) 48 long (2)42.5 long (2) 27 long (2)21.5 long 1x4s (4) 48 long (4) 28.5 long 1x2s (2) 45.5 long (2) 9 3/4
I’m in the middle of this project and I think there’s a measurement error in his video. He has the 1x4x8 cuts as 52.5” and 24”. The 52.5” is correct, but you need to account for the extra 2 inches of height (1” on bottom and 1” on top) that are added when you nail the 24” 1x12x8 to the 52.5” 1x12x8. His list of cuts at the 0:46 mark are all correct EXCEPT for the “four pieces 24” long”. That should instead read: “4 pieces 26” long”. In your case, you’d want 4 pieces of the 1x4x8 to be 29” (27+2). Hope that helps.
Thank you so much for making thos hobby unintimidating for people who have never done this before. Your channel inspired me to start from nothing, and now my entire bedroom is hand-made. I hope you / Liz are okay! We don't see much of her these days!
Interesting how you hand sand your projects and not using a power tool for that like other videos! How long does it take to hand sand this? Do you move between grits?
I desperately want to make this. I need to change the length to 60inches but i can't seem to figure out how long the "smaller box" length should be. I'm thinking 56 inches, but is that right? HELP ANYONE?!

i love the minimal tools approach you guys have unlike other wood working channels who have a workshop background ...this is u r USP !
Thank you!
@@TheRehabLife ordered your book on Amazon ! Thx much
Absolutely love this channel, have built a bunch of stuff from the videos and from the book. So easy to follow along 👍
Thanks!
Thanks so much! I just saw this and didn't even know a monetary gift was an option. Sorry for the delayed response and thanks again!

You telling me this whole time I've been scared of doing 45-degree angle cut and you made it look so easy that I understand it now. Thank u
Sweet! You can totally do it...
Love it. I would probably put one or two support blocks to rest the inside box on. But that’s because I’m paranoid. I will. Try this one. Thanks !
Good luck with the build! You'll be fine without the supports but completely up to you...
@@TheRehabLife Thank you!
Looks great! Keep the videos coming!
Will do!
Cant wait to see the video where you make a workbench so you don’t have to work on the floor anymore! Kills my knees just watching this. Haha

I love that your instructions on every build are literally easier than building anything from IKEA
Thanks so much!
Thank you for taking your time and energy to these great videos.
My pleasure!
Nice looking table, guys. Thanks for sharing this build with us.
Thanks for watching!
Absolutely love this channel. Have built a bunch of stuff from your videos and book. You make it very easy to follow 👍

I love this table.
Thanks!
Excellent job!! I like how it turned out. And yes, I got the book!!!! Lol👍
Thank you and thanks for the support!
Precioso, gracias por compartirlo. Saludos desde Argentina
Gracias!
Just built this Saturday. Still have to sand and stain. One note from your measures for precut. The 24 inch 1x4 should be 25 1/2 inches.
Thank you for the video ..Looks great very simply explained..
You're welcome!
Great looking piece … thank you for making it seem doable!! ❤
I love to make something just like this as a coffee table.
Great idea!
Hey this looks great always wanted one. Now just need to put in little hidden doors for secret compartments
Oooh that would be cool

That's our goal, thank you!
I cut the 24” pieces with the 45degree angle, but they are too short when assembling.
I made this mistake
Now I cut the long points and it fits right. Hope this might help

Thank you for your great and easy to build project videos 😊 I bought your book and I really love it. Thank you for sharing. Your biggest fan.
Very nice!
Am I the only one that the side 1/4 45 cuts weren’t 24 inch cuts, but needed to be 25 1/2? Maybe I did something wrong
Found the same issue. If you do the math there is no way the 45 smaller cuts can be 24 inches.
Same observation
Same issue ... now heading to home depot. 😮
Yay was ready for this👏
Woohoo!
Thank you so much!! This is what I needed! New sub here
You guys never cease to amaze me with your incredible but simply explained builds! : )
Glad you like them! Thanks so much!
If I wanted to make this taller and longer what’s a good system to decide the measurements
I build today it turn out beautiful , just to inform that 1x4x24 suppose to be 1x24x25.5 (qty 4)
Love it!
Thanks!!
What type of lumber did you use/do you recommend using?
What saw should I invest in?
I want to know where you buy your lumber
Show!🙌
Can a nailer work here or does it need to be screws?

Actually you’re correct with your 28.5” measure. I didn’t realize these 1x boards weren’t actually a full inch! 0.75”
@@schaefferarnold helpful - thank you!!
Same boat I’d love to build that with the same dimensions 28x30x123/4
Please can someone post the accurate measurement.😢

Que madera sera ?
Your next build should be a workbench. You’re always building everything on the floor. 😂
That would make things too easy!
I wanted to like the project but those mitre joints won't let me.
🙂👍
Why don't you build a work table so you don't have to work off the floor?

Yes, you need the gap to be 2 inches on both sides for the sides
Can you please share aal the dimensions for 60” length
Woodglut has a very large project base.
