    Love this video. No table saw, no planner, no joiner; most of us don't own these tools, yet you managed to make this table in creative, accessible ways for the rest of us. I am inspired and encouraged to recreate this. Thank you for this video.

    Great job on the video Brother. And the table is beautiful. Pine and Cedar are among my favorite media to work with. I have access to a broad selection of pallets and shipping crates at work, and can get them for free. Breaking them down for use is another story, but if I was gonna be sitting around, waiting to go to work, not doing anything productive when it's pretty outside, then at least I'm moving and accomplishing something.😎 Keep it up dude. About time for another build, isn't it.?🤓🤠

    Love this video! You should include RH coffee table build or something similar in the title so it can be found more easily though.
    I can see your channel taking off. Keep it up. I look forward to seeing more videos!

    Cool piece. To get more of an RH dup feel distress the piece and look up some staining techniques to get the look.

    Hey Brother. Those Triangular off-cuts make great corner braces for baskets and crates. Just say'n.😎
    oh....so, that's what I get for leaving a comment 'before' the video is over.

    I think, at least to 90% of those who'll see this will surely mistake it for walnut, which is we want anyways. Great job. Also, I want to commend you for making use of the tools you have. The Miter Saw may not be 'the-best-choice' for a few of the cuts you made, but I'm all about using 'what-you-have' inspite of what you 'would-rather-have'.
    I have an old Skil 12.5Amp Circular Saw that I also mount upside down for use as a table saw.

    Can you make a video about cleanup after staining. I'm so intimidated by staining because of thw risk of the brushes and rags spontaneously catching fire, id love to see a video about the proper but accessible ways of cleaning.

      Throw the used rags in a bucket of water for a few days, let dry then discard them in the trash

    Gaps in the boards, left glue squeeze out on the bottom of the top when applying finishing, the plinth is wonky and too many sanding marks. Its a nice looking table but if you took more time it would be an amazing looking table. Dont mean to sound rude but I took a lot of constructive criticism when I first started which tought me a lot. You are on the right track though buddy.

    Quick question, how thick are those pine boards you were using? they look really thick, and i dont think i can find anything thicker than 0.34 inch in my local HD or Lowes stores

    • @Todjcam
      @Todjcam 7 месяцев назад +1

      They are standard 2x thick construction lumber meaning they measure an inch and a half in thickness

    What if i want to keep all the texture and flaws of actual old wood? I guess I'll just pressure wash, brush, and clear coat.
