Thank All of You For Your Support!! Every video watched, every thumbs up, every comment, every purchase through an Amazon link, and to my patrons, thank you for supporting our channel!
This was a great video! Thank you for being clear and concise with your directions. You are a great teacher.
Thanks for explaining all your injections and exactly what they are for......looking forward to babies 🇦🇺🐨🇦🇺
Thank you so much! I've been searching for an instructional video that would be informative enough to give me the confidence to administer this vaccine, as a first timer. Your insight is exactly what I needed.
I've gotten so much great advice from you! I will definitely be binge watching your videos right before kidding season
I just LOVE your channel! I was born and raised in Phoenix 😊
Anyhow, I live in Michigan and we just recently had the worst weather I have experienced here in 12 years! It was crazy going from - 30 to 50 all in a span of 3 days. We lost our Nubian doe due to the weather and pneumonia. It was heartbreaking! We were left with one wether so we quickly had to buy another goat And of course the only goats available in our area right now are fancy registered goats. ( It was NEVER in the plan to own registered goats- like never lol) so we ended up finding a herd of registered Nigerians ( it was also never in the plan to own small goats lol) and we brought one home!
I've never been more in love with an animal before! Although we lost our first doe, we ended up with an amazing, not our first pick goat and this has started a fire inside of us that I can't put into words.
The person we bought her from also studded out their buck to us for the month. I'm beyond excited to have little babies running around and your channel is certainly helping me prepare for this new journey! It's just crazy how this was totally unexpected and now we are starting our own registered herd.
Thank you from Michigan!
So sorry to hear of your loss!! Very neat you found the love for the Nigi! They're great :)
I am new to all this goat business and your video by far is the best at explaining the procedure, thank you.
Thank you! I'm off to do it right now. I wish I had seen this before my doe gave birth. Now I have to do it to her and three babies.
Great video as usual! I would only add that 1cc of Epinephrine should always be drawn up and ready in case of anaphylactic reaction to *any* injection. Better to have it ready to use and never need it than need it and not have it and lose the goat because "we've never needed it before".
We are getting our first goats to the farm in April. When I was shopping for some really great girls I saw some for sale and I think they had some of your lines in their in their breeding I saw the name of your farm in their breeding history. I’m here in Oregon.
I am excited to see the babies!
THIS IS THE BEST VIDEO on administering the CD&T shot! Thank you!
I love watching your videos, even though I have had dairy goat’s all my life. I still love watching other who love dairy goat’s also.
I just successfully gave my little buckling his first CD&T vaccine, thanks to your great instruction!! 😊He's a little mad at me now, but I'm sure he'll get over it lol. He will be even more upset with me when I throw on that ball band 😬.
Thank you! This was extremely helpful. I’m dosing my group today and I feel much more confident now. ❤
Your videos are eccellent, clear and easy to understsnd. Thanks.
Your videos are the most educational that I have watched on RUclips. If you plan on milking her will you still give the CD&T ?? Love you videos!!! ❤️
Yes ma'am. I give CD&T annually and milk all my goats.
I do the same thing with my goats. Can't wait for the babies.
Me toooooo!!
We use coffee cans too 😊 Reduce, reuse, recycle 💕
Yesssss
I love your vids and your hair! Please do a video on how to do your hair!😍😆
Started a goat farm in April and learning alot from you
Hi Crystal, that is good to know and a money saving deal. How is little sweet Iris and the new mother? Take care.
They are doing so well!! Mama and daddy are so in love with Iris and she is an angel. Never even cries!
Blue Cactus Dairy Goats , that’s so sweet, I love babies, such a beautiful part of life. God bless them and you. I would love to have some of your Arizona weather, the cold snap is back again. Going to get ready to start my seeds as we don’t have the long growth season like y’all. Goats and other livestock do well here if you have the space and planning. Have a good Sunday and take it easy .
Good instruction video Goat Woman!
❤🕊Jeanne 🌨snow day on the Oregon coast! ❄
We had snow a couple mornings ago!!
We need a “Goat Lovers Handbook” ☺️
Lol! Agree :)
Thanks for sharing this! I'm gonna give the shot to my goats tonight... First time & I've never felt with any kind of needle, hope it goes well, also I don't have a holding place for them , 3 wethers mini's.
love your video, i look at others but you really showed me . thank you
Thank you for this, as always such great instructions! I have a question and it's probably dumb but you use a new clean needle for each goat then toss, correct?
Yep. Each needle needs to be clean per goat per shot :)
@@BlueCactusDairyGoats hi im ashfaq nice videos i waching yours videos amazing im in pakistan ...can you send me your email i sending you my goats pic and i Discus you thanks ...
I enjoy watching your channel. There's been ao much I've learned watching channel. A few weeks ago,you said you Great Pyrenees disappeared. Has he come home?
Yes! We lost every Tuesday and he was found the next day. Hes been home safe and sound since.
love your videos
I just felt the baby kick for the first time on my only doe that's bred yesterday! I'm so excited for kidding!! Can't wait to see your babies
Lol. How exciting!! I cant wait for the babies either!!
I love watching your videos. My Grandparents had a small homestead and had goats. Did your grandbaby come?
She did!! So in love with her!
Thanks
Thanks for the info. I have vaccinated dogs and cats and have given shots to rabbits but I just wasn't sure about goats. I recently bought 2 does and they each came with a wether. Non of them were vaccinated and I want to breed the does in the fall.
Thank you
I look forward to your videos all the time! Quick question: for the babies at 5 weeks and then again for their boosters around 9 to 10 weeks do you give them the same dosage (2ml)? Thank you again! Your videos are the best!! Congratulations in your new grandbaby!
Thank you!! Yes all doses for any age or weight is 2cc
Great video, thank you!
Thanks this helped me
When giving my baby his vaccine he jumped I felt so bad some of the medicine came out but I was too afraid to give more. So I will just be a bit more careful at his next vaccine
I gave in the muscle! Nowww what.
I LOVE GOATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good video. Who makes that nice stanchion?
Congrats ~ I'm guessing you're new mama, papa, grandparents, aunts and uncle by now! 👶🌹 This CD&T is given to the bucks once per year as well? 👍
We are!! So in love with the sweet grandbaby! We give it to the bucks before they start breeding
Great video! We have babies coming for the first time in June, so do you still give 2cc at 5 weeks to both doelings and buckling? then you said a booster at 2-4 weeks later, is that another 2cc then go to annually??
I’m a first timer myself, but I do believe it’s 2cc’s for each dose.. I could be wrong though..
When you said, “it can cause diarrhea,” were you referring to the corn or the vaccine?
I had planned on feeding my girls their breakfast on the stand to give the shot.
Thanks for all the great videos!
Grain! Never saw diarrhea from CD&T shot.
Our vet gave us the needles and was like here. We had no clue what to do or how to do this. Thank you for showing this because I didn’t know we had to clean it first. Does it have to be in the fridge?
What happens if you give your pregnant goat her CDT closer to pregnancy ?
2 cc’s no matter what size
For goat moms?
A couple weeks after they kid is it ok to drink the milk? For human consumption?
Nice
Alfalfa hay and pellets
Can anyone answer a question for me? I have two does, born 1/1/2020. I just got them a couple weeks ago, and will be first time vaccinating them. The original owners were thinning their herd (which they had gotten from my daughter when she gave up her goats for a simpler life! lol) and gave my daughter these two for me. But they won't get back to me when I ask if they are vaccinated. Perhaps they are embarrassed that they didn't vaccinate their goats. So my question is. Having these girls and not knowing if they have been vaccinated before, should I do the initial dose and then repeat as if they were babies? Or should I just give the yearly shot in hopes that they had initial vaccinations as babies. Thanks in advance for any advice.
I would give as if they never had the vaccine before if you are questioning it :)
Do you need a new syringe every time? i know you need a new clean needle each time but is it the same for the syringe?
Where do you get the vaccine from. Ive been told you cant buy it
What brand of the CDT vaccines do you use
Please can you share links where one could purchase such vaccines and ppr vaccines?
What if i have a newborn baby buck, should i have him vaccinated? If yes what age should i wait for him to be? Should i do his momma too?
What is the Bowyer another shot?
Hi I've been following you for a while. I have 2 does a month old buckling and an adult buck. I did not realize that I should have given the CD&T while my doe was pregnant. Should I be concerned? Are there any other vaccines that you give? Thank you for your time
My doe is due to kid in 2 weeks is it too late to give her a cd&t shot? I wasn’t able to get needles until Saturday - Farm store has been out of stock for months.
Thanks so much.
Do the kids get 2cc’s also? Is it a standard dose for everyone? Thank you!
Yes. The dose is 2 cc/mL for all goats.
My goats ligaments are softening omg i cant belive it
Lol! Soon!
Hi crystal I gave my goats the shot and one of them the area started to bleed is that normal?
Giving a shot, it is completely normal to bleed. You broke the skin. A lot of blood is not normal.
Hi Crystal, your link for syringes and needles on this video links to blunt tip needles. Just thought you’d want to know. ❤️
Ah. Thank you!
What age you do babies if mom not vaccinated
What other vaccines should i give my does during pregnancy?
If the goat has never been vaccinated, do you give them 2cc then 2cc again in 2-4 weeks regardless of age ? Then once a year 2cc ?
Can you do it closer to birth than 30 days?
Tell me something about special diet for goat 😊
We have always fed alfalfa hay and pellets with free access to minerals and salt. Now we graze them in addition to alfalfa pellets in the morning.
What do you give for a dog attack
What is the name of the shot on the bottle it was hard to see. Is it tetanus toxoid?
There are many different brands. CD&T for goats is what you're looking for.
Is it normal for my pregnanr goat to have loose.poop
Not necicarilly. Have you changed her diet?
@@BlueCactusDairyGoats she has been grazjng but due ti weather put her in a dtall with hay so i would so yes we have technically
More than likely the cause then. Just keep a close eye :)
Could you help me please, I have a pregnant goat that has never had a cdt , do I give her a boosters now or do I wait till after birth and just vaccinate separate at appropriate times?????
Check tractor supply they have it and ask them they may help you I’m new at this stuff too
What's the name of that vaccine
What syringe size do you use for your 5w old kids?
20g
Could you do cdt 1 week before due date?
my feed store don't have 20 gage they have 22 gage is that ok? also my goats try to eat the chicken scratch grains but someone told me to not let goats eat it that it might harm them
It's not good for them in large quantities. They love it though and can get them to do anything lol. Just a little goes a long way. Not much nutritional value in the scratch.
22 gauge may be too small. CD&T isn't a thick liquid so should be ok but I'd do 18g before 22.
@@BlueCactusDairyGoats Thanks you give the best in formation love your channel
@@BlueCactusDairyGoats Thanks
Thank you! You're awesome!
Great video! Here I go to go give my first set of shit on the farm!
What size dose do you give the kids?
2cc for all ages
How long of a needle did you use?
1-1.5 in is standard.
How young do you start vaccines
5 weeks
Was rhat goat you buchered in your freezer one you delivered.if so thats sick
Yep. We birth them and rais them in a very healthy and humane environment. It was delicious! You're sick for buying your meat, that you have no idea where it came from, and thinking it had a happy life. You're dumb!
@@BlueCactusDairyGoats Haha...for real 100% There's people out there that just don't get it. God forbid the "commercial food supply chain" fails, they're gonna starve to death.
I have been watching other videos about raising goats and then raising these animals and then killing them to eat I could not do that you would not do that to your goats you love them
Where can i buy the cd.n.t.vaccines
