    Works great and I keep using caluson for the first two weeks just for the boost

    To the Karen's who make negative comments about Tara feeding her babies on the kitchen bench . Being dedicated in the raising of animals that sometimes have special requirements you will do anything in your power to save their lives and if that means keeping them in your house or feeding them on your kitchen bench you do it . All animals lives are important and sometimes you have to look past a few minor inconveniences to save their lives you do it without question .

      My name is Karen and I have no objection to an animal on the kitchen counter. I have a small, elder dog and he's on mine regularly to give meds or wipe his eyes. Maybe try not to judge people named Karen? I'm personally so tired of it.

    • @kyliewilson2280

      @@the-needle-felter Firstly I was NOT judging you Karen is a colloquialism that is now prevalent in today's general language so I am not the first and certainly won't be the last to use the term . You will have to either learn to cope or If it really offends you go lock yourself in a dark closet and hide away from the world because it looks like Karen is here to stay

      A lot of patience, first thing is make sure their warm. if they aren't opening their mouth you need to put your finger in the side of their mouth to open. If all else fails, you will likely need to tube feed. Best of luck.

    I just received 2 baby's they seem very scared and not interested how long before they should take to the bottel after being taken from Mom they told me they were month and a half but one still has ambilical cord

    • @The10AcreWoods
      @The10AcreWoods  Год назад +1

      Morning, ambilical cord should fall off at 8-10 days, can take up to 3 weeks for dried stubb to fall off. They sound too young either way. If taken from mom at a young age they should have been bottle started before pulling off mom as they can be nipple confused. If scared they were not handled, will have to be firm on getting them to drink. They will be on 3 bottles a day at 3 weeks untill weaning. Firm on the bottle, angle the neck as if they were under mom, enlarge the nipple hole so it can dribble in, rub neck to stimulate the swallow reflex.

    I love goats. I was a goatherd in Israel for a while. They are funny, smart, loving, and ornery lol. One of the goats I named Lucifer. He was a sweet boy. He would follow me around after I’d take all the goats up the mountain to graze for a few hours every day and he didn’t want to stay with the herd, he’d just follow me around. I miss him. He was also besties with a donkey we had. I’d sit and play guitar under a tree next to both of them. I think the liked it, they seemed to actually pay attention!
