Yes cambelt no point in looking at fuel consumption if you have a bill of ,£2500 for the service and cambelt when it's 6 yrs old. Had to get rid of mine for that reason. They don't even guarantee it after they've replaced it. Why don't reviewers tell you this first

I have the mk9 and the volume control is on the steering wheel, as well as a knob, this doesnt have the volume knob, but i dont see why thats an issue as its rarely used, but they introduced it again in the 2020 version, you sit really low in the mk9, so if this is lower, then thats a worry for me, being tall, i definately want the 1.5t, but oil dilution problems are a worry, but apparently if oil is changed every 5k miles, then all is good, also, ive seen 0-60 tests at 6.9secs
have an accord mk8 8 years, test drove a 2020 Civic 1.0turbo. I have had 4 accords and was very disappointed with the civic. The car is destroyed with that 1.0 litre engine, runs out of power very quick, gearing is all wrong. I love the look of them but was disappointed. I was sure I would love it as it was a Honda and had a deal done, subject to test drive. I guess i may just keep the accord
Whatever car you wish to buy, always remember these thumb rules below : 1000cc - Hot hatchback (Yes) , Sedan (No) 1000cc turbo - Hot hatchback (Yes) , Sedan (No) 1500cc - Hot hatchback (Yes) , Sedan (Yes) 1500cc turbo - Hot hatchback (Yes) , Sedan (No, you will pedal to the metal and eventually damage your engine) 2000cc - Hot Hatchback (Hell Yeah), Sedan (Good choice) 2000cc turbo - Hot Hatchback (OverKill, Rally Car Power), Sedan (Perfect Match) So, never buy a 1500cc turbo sedan car, you are better off with a 1500cc NA sedan car driving it slowly and not killing it. Dont buy Honda Civic with 1000cc turbo or 1500cc turbo, its useless. Go for the 2000cc vtec and dont look back !
I`m guessing You`re from different market. there are only turbo petrols on offer in this market for this model. currently contemplating about sedan 1.6diesel. only tank seems to be small 45litres (10 gallons), still should be able to do 600miles/1000km easy on it in real life. according to official numbers it would be 750miles on one refuelling.

Thanks for letting us know. I'm considering a Civic and there are plenty of 1.0s on the market. I'll spare myself the painful service bill.
Thats strange because since 2006 all civics have a timing chain, not a cam belt.
I know this is a year old comment but afaik the 1.5l turbo have oil dilution issues, so change the oil regularly

I have the diesel version and I love it. So economical and plenty of power for a daily driver.

Nothing new there then ! You can say that about a lot of manufacturers that come across a complaint and completely ignore it
