Glad to see you've just tested the model which most people will probably buy, with the normal suspension, manual gearbox, normal dials etc. Safety features are a good idea to test, as you can then decide if you want them. Please don't test cars full of extras, like upgraded suspension packages which don't let the buyer know how good the standard one is. So great review.
Spot on review like usual, well done! I've been looking forward to. Apart safety/design, the handling & steering feel are the most important for me. Nowadays is almost impossible to get a modern car with real communicating steering feel. Even Bmw seem incapable to find the right steering feel since the electrical power steering. Honda was good at making simple, well styled cars in the past. After the fantastic gen' 6 I think they became lost. It's good to see the original Honda feeling back with the gen' 10.
I was waiting for some time for the new Honda Civic 2017 Hatchback to be released in Europe (and in Germany where I reside) and when it came out I arranged a test drive. After being impressed by the ride quality of the car, the engine, the suspension, the new CVT transmission and many other qualities (although there were things like the very low seating and the dark roof which I did not like), I ordered the car (a 1.0 lt CVT Executive trim). In the meantime, I downloaded and read the English (U.S. as it proved) User's Guide. When I received my car, I was surprised by the omission of several security and useful features which were present in the U.S. version. I list them in order of descending handiness/importance: 1) Walk away auto lock: even though the car has the keyless access, it does not auto lock when one walks away with the key fob on him. To lock the car, you have to either press the button on the fob or the button on the door handle. This feature is clearly explained in the U.S. manual but is totally absent (the relevant pages are missing) in the German one and the relevant options are not present in the Honda Connect U.I. This feature is very convenient, is present in numerous modern cars with keyless entry and I don't understand why it is absent in the Civic. 2) Drive off auto lock: again, the feature of auto locking the car when reaching a certain speed is not present, either in the German manual or the U.I. I consider this an important security feature, which is present in many modern cars. 3) Auto headlight sensitivity adjustment: this feature is again absent from the manual and the U.I. The headlights do come on and go off automatically, as do the auto high-beam, but there is no adjustment of the sensitivity possible whatsoever. 4) Remote engine start button on key fob: This is again missing from the European model. Again, this seems silly and cheapo for a 29000 Euro car. 5) Panic button on key fob: this is again a handy feature (to find your car) which is present in the U.S. car but missing from the European car. 6) Small tray in the center console: although the center console is very large and handy, it only has the big tray. The very handy small tray is missing from the 1.0 lt version (it is apparently present in the 1.5 lt version). I don't understand why Honda would remove this small tray, which is very cheap, on a car priced 29000 euro that has other very expensive features. 7) Turbo meter: Although the car does have a turbo engine, this display is missing from the MID for the 1.0 lt. engine (apparently it is present in the 1.5 lt engine version). Again, this seems silly and cheap for such an expensive car. I have asked the dealer and Honda DE if it is possible to activate at least the first two (my opinion is that it is simply a software activation matter), but the only response that I've had is negative, with no real explanation why these are missing. I have also found what seems like a bug in the software of the car. When in the vehicle settings it is configured that the navigation directions are not to be displayed in the main instrument display navigation page, this page and also the audio (!) screen of the instrument display turn a solid blue! Do you have an opinion on these points, especially the first two? By the way, thank you for the excellent reviews!
I like the front, but the rear is as bad an eye sore as a first generation Panamera Also: you sound like a pirate when you say R. "the new type Arrrghh"
88-91 Civic is actually more different to previous 84-87 than you would think. 88 was revolutionary generation. First time Civic had fully independent front and rear suspension. Double wishbone suspension rather than mcpherson etc. For me it is the best basic Civic. Best all rounder. 92-95 is more modern yet timeless seeming design. In that sense better. 88-91 represents perfect 80s design for me. A little sporty looking in a modest way.

I am extremely impressed by the comments on design and layout. I always agree would never have managed to come up with the comments myself or even understood what it is that i don't like.
Enjoyed that one. Thanks Thomas and Michelle!! It was wonderful to see all generations of the Civic.I was very surprised that the first generation can accommodate a Thomas-sized person!!!😄Styling on the new generation is not my cup of tea though..... "Let's go!!"
I genuinely laughed at the "Evil Thomas" point :), very funny, and probably because it is so antagonistic against the kindness you emit through your presentations/conversations/monologues. Great reviews, Evil Thomas :) !
Very brave driving Thomas on motorway ,i would've pulled over and fixed that bonnet before doing 200 clicks on motorway i thought that bonnet was going to pop up while you where driving.
Great review as always,Thomas, bravo. I've got two questions for you (or owners readinng this): 1. regarding sound insulation, what is top cruising speed for pleasant experience...120,140 kmh or else? 2. how come you didn't mention poor rear headroom, cause it could be very important info when considering buying family car? I'm 165cm and almost touching roofline with the top of my head. Thanks in advance, cheers.
I did see, so I was quite shocked when I first sat in it yesterday.Too bad Honda dropped tourer version. Thanks for speed info.Keep up the good job,my friend.

@@gavin6385 yes i did, and still have it. 1.5t hatchback sport plus with the 6 speed manual. Just hit 60k and the only fault has been one parking sensor that had to be replaced under warranty. Absolutely nothing else, i really love the car. If i had to say something bad about it, it would probably be the road noise and a few rattling interior pieces. But i did change the wheels and tyres for bigger and wider, so that is a big factor for the noise. The car is quieter on winter tyres that are stock size. Also i just test drove the new 1-series bmw and it made me realize how good car the civic really is for the price.
Superb comprehensive review Thomas and HD camera work. Fantastic presentation with the Civic family tree! During your generation in the early 80's, were you in your new wave Kraftwerk-look?. All time fave 5th gen 91-95 Civic. This new gen Civic certainly has it's genes tied more closer to the Accord now. Love the look and the interior is nicely well laid out. Good to see the engine is exposed. Fake rear vents on the hatch doesn't bother me a lot, it's well integrated within the bumper/reflector and there is a design continuity with the front, love the twin central muffler. ( 40:53 ) Evil Thomas.. hah ha. (45:34 ) 200 kph, very good stability. Thumbs up. Hate the marketing types here at Oz because they are not offering a manual. it's all CVT except with the Type-R.
That's not correct Thomas at 5:25 The Si always look more sportier and is equiped with a bigger engine(more hp) than a standard civic. You should have googled it before. The Si does look different. And at 6:25 you should have added: The Civic Si does come with nearly(!!!) the same engine with 205hp. Changes is primarly the turbo charger
Great review, however what are your feelings about the styling ? I don't like the front or rear end, it looks too contrived. I'm sure it drives great but it's looks are disappointing. I used to be a big Honda fan in the 80s and 90s but they have nothing in their current range that interests me.
Nice review! "Super stable, super direct at at high speed driving, shifting super sharp, super direct..." for a Honda civic , so you say German car like VW, BMW have to step up the game to distinguish and justify a higher price point in temperature of driving dynamic...?
I've been spending some weeks visiting several dealers and it's very hard to justify how to pay 4 to 5.000€ more for a 1.5 TSI Golf, less powered, responsive and equipped car.
Hi Thomas, congrats for the great review! Really appreciate it! One question which may relate to the wind noise at high speeds... you mention that the front bonnet was perhaps not closed properly during driving... did you finally check if that was the case? maybe this produced the wind noise... Also, is it normal to encounter such wind noise on other car models? I like this car but this may be a negative factor for my purchase... Thanks
Thanks 🙏 it was closed but the metal obviously still was shaking. The civic is not primarily built for markets with high speed motorway. So u notice on german autobahn what u wouldn’t at normal speeds. Its a good car nevertheless
The 7th, 8th, and 9th generations are different from what we have have here in my country Indonesia. In my opinion, the most beautiful one is the 8th generation sedan. Here, it's called Civic FD. (I don't know if there is a hatchback version. I haven't seen one here)
I also prefer the sedan version. Hope it will be available in Portugal. I don't like the rear of this version at all. Eitherway I think you have to praise Honda for making something completely different and completely new. Designwise - and some exceptions apart - I think the car industry is a bit dull right now. Almost every brand is trying to cut costs in this area, launching endless facelifts, making every model look alike, and using the same solutions (like the floating roofline, two colour scheme rims, coupé ligns, etc) I think it's bold, brave and actually a breath of fresh air building something from zero. Nice review by the way! :)
I know the design is polarizing, but I like it. Also, it looks better in real life then it does in the pictures. Not sure why Honda likes the red one als a pr model though. I think it looks better in basically every other color.
propably they chose it because bright colours are often hard to see on cameras. But therefore we also try to show you as many different colours as possible =)
Interesting that the first 6 generations of Civic look almost the same in Europe and North America, but look very different starting with the 7th generation. The 7th generation is also the generation that Honda's started having quality control problems. Maybe, the first 6 generations were all built in Japan ?
Again, a thoroughly enjoyable review from Thomas! I like the design of the dashboard, but the linear volume control is, in my view, pointless, as well as the hybrid climate control is pointless again... The exterior design is a bit overdone, especially at the front. Also, the screen of the infotainment system is capacitive and multi-touch, in my Mazda CX-3 it is also capacitive but not multi-touch, that it is why you have to use the magnifying glass symbol on the display. I also like the sedan more, since indeed it is better proportioned. Thank you Thomas for your excellent reviews!
Great video. I really like the new design. The hatch version looks quite like a sedan which I like. The 2005 Civic with those fake rear lights hasn't aged well. It really looks so bad now when I see one.
Great job guys, I'm watching most of your test reviews, I'm big honda fan, and next month is our American presentation of 2018 honda accord, I know will be many of reviews, tests.. of new accord, but I really like to see your review of 2018 honda accord, of course, if is possible. Danke schön, and alles gute.
Great review! Personally I think the car looks good but I understand looks can be subjective. I have a test drive coming up for this car in a week. What do you think of this car vs the mazda 3 hatch?
glad u liked it! Check our Mazda3 content here: ruclips.net/user/results?search_query=autogefuehl+mazda3 Newer Facelift review of the Mazda3 soon! Then I will also take your question with in the review.
Honda doesnt sell this car in the US. Its such a shame. They only sell this with the CVT. On top of that, this car featured in the video doesnt seem to be the Type R, but it has a VTEC engine? All of the 1.5L Civic engines in america dont have VTEC. Honda should stop short changing its customers and sell us the good stuff. I am in the market for a Hatchback EX or Sport Touring with a 6 Speed Manual Transmission in America.
Hi Thomas! From your point of view, what car is a better deal? Honda Civic 1.5 turbo or Seat Leon FR 1.4TSI ACT? Which one drives better? And for long trips (noise, comfort..)?
hey m8, check our Seat Leon reviews here: ruclips.net/user/results?search_query=seat+leon+autogefuehl I find both cars good for sure. The Seat is more refined in the interior, the Civic however is also a lot of fun. Check both reviews full length and also compare prices

What is your opinion about 12 speakers premium audio system? Or that one had 8 speakers? :)
Can I ask If someone knows how much is the real consumption of the 1.5 CVT? I'm on the verge of bying the car but this is the only thing that I dont know. Thanks guya
The sedan really is better proportioned. I find the wind noise a bit unfortunate. I used to own a 2007 Accord in the U.S. and it was a fantastic car and super efficient, so comfomfortable on long journeys, especially the seats. However, it did get noisy at higher speeds. Now that I live in Germany, I have really noticed it as I like to drive between 130-160 kmh (80-100 mph) and will go up to 200 kmh (125 mph). I find the Asian and French cars to be too noisy, but when I drive a VW it is so quiet and composed. It will be interesting to see how the sedan does, but I am not sure how efficient the 1.5T will be on the Autobahn, I look forward to your review of that one, especially the CVT version. ;)
I understand It would be a little bit unusual, but It's not easy to have such a thorow reviewer, such as yourself, testing the "real world" use of a CVT. Unfortunatly, It's difficult to have acess to a Civic with a CVT, for me to test drive, here in Portugal. Your input would be appreciated. I think japonese car manufacturers are quite know to make great manual boxes, but, in the case of Honda, they use CVT's for auto option, and I have no experience what so with this kind of gear boxes. Maybe you can do a review on the Civic 1.5T CVT whith the 4Door version ?
Not a big fan of the air scoops, either front or back. Too large. The Honda Fit has removed the ones at the rear. Much nicer now. Could I live with them? Yes but would prefer smaller ones. The Civic Coupe is about right. Overall, I am liking the Mazda 3 GT the 2.5 version, will test the Civic hatch next. BTW Honda's paint colours are very nice and the gunmetal grey colour, makes those fake air scoops fade into background.
I've been watching mainly your reviews lately and they are fantastic. Honest and thorough. A question here. I am currently choosing between a Civic hatchback 1.5 sport manual and a Golf Highline 1.5 TSI EVO manual (r-line lowered suspension) with equivalent equipment and similar price. This will be our family car. Which one would you choose?
Yes, I've watched both multiple times :D Still struggling to make a decision. What's even funnier is I just included SEAT Ateca FR 1.4 TSI 4DRIVE manual into the equation :D
This is not the Si Version in other countries. The Si Version has a different exhaust. It is one piece and it is more looking like a “trapez“. It has still the same displacement, but with more power and tork. In the USA the car has as a Si Version 205 hp. But that is only by the way. ;-) When you testing the sedan of the Civic, is it possible to tell us, what kind safety systems you get as standard? What also is interesting, is the american, or canadian build quality better than the english one under the steering wheel, for example. And I give you now a secret. If look into the storage space under the armrest and take of the bottom and flip it, than you will see a nice easter egg ;-) But you will find it only on the coupe and the sedan.... When the video is coming on the channel? But still a very nice review. Keep going 3😊
O, very curious about the easter egg... Good point about the difference in build quality. People should complain about this. I noticed it too when comparing the previous version. I got the tourer for a while, but when that was in service, I got the hatchback as a loan car and I noticed the lesser build quality. My colleague who had driven both for a longer time confirmed the difference in build as well.
Autogefühl I would not go so far. But, I think it is not only me, we just want to know, if tjere are differences. :-D Thanks for the awnser and we will waiting of the video ;-)
Hello Autogefühl, can you tell us the tyres that the cars come from the factory. I know that this could change, and be market specific but still. Recently I watched a review on skoda superb and a passat and the reviewer suggested that the difference in tyres made the most difference in stopping distance and slalom. Also the steering feel. So please can you state the tyres when testing. Keep up the good work.
yeah it could come earlier, there are different philosophies about that. Some systems really show the exact blind spot moment, some warn in advance. I prefer systems that warn in advance
Thomas, I test drove the Hatchback, 2 different trims and they both had the tires squeal. Are they cheap? Are they limiting the acceleration performance of the car? What do you suggest to fix this - what upgrade?
Autogefühl Yes! When accelerating flat out, it would lose some traction. Some other people have reported this also. It was with CVT, not manual. I think it is the tires....happened with both the Auto Sport and LX model that I tested. It did not give me much confidence when driving... However, it is my #1 option so far because of the Adaptive Cruise Control at such a low price. Works just like in a BMW 4-series.
Too bad for the rear design and the infotainment quality. The sport plus (the one reviewed) comes fully loaded as standard and with a 184 hp engine for just under 30k euros.. thats amazing.

1) Walk away auto lock: even though the car has the keyless access, it does not auto lock when one walks away with the key fob on him.
By the way, thank you for the excellent reviews!
strange and interesting!
I like the front, but the rear is as bad an eye sore as a first generation Panamera
Also: you sound like a pirate when you say R. "the new type Arrrghh"
There is also a 4-door variant with a much better looking rear.
@@Mgoblagulkablong Yes, the sedan looks better
I thought the Mk8 was the best looking but obviously the current version is the best driving due to its newness.
A little sporty looking in a modest way.
the best car in his class...bravo Honda...better than shitwagen Golf
🤣 I'm getting the Massive hints !!!!!!!!!
Great review Thomas. I bought one in red two weeks ago, I am very happy with it.
U r best car reviewer I have ever seen.... ur review on cars are very informative and entertaining.... The best car reviewer of the earth... thnx to ur whole team of Autogefühl.. greeting from India...
Great to have ur support!!
I am extremely impressed by the comments on design and layout. I always agree would never have managed to come up with the comments myself or even understood what it is that i don't like.
Welcome 🙏
These are my favourite reviews, looking at all generations.
thanks feel free to recommend us :)
Excellent review! Please if possible make a smaller video for sedan just showing the small differences between them. Thank you very much!
Thanks 🙏
Thomas are you going to review the new generation??
Time to review the new one. Hopefully soon.
Yes!
Enjoyed that one. Thanks Thomas and Michelle!! It was wonderful to see all generations of the Civic.I was very surprised that the first generation can accommodate a Thomas-sized person!!!😄Styling on the new generation is not my cup of tea though..... "Let's go!!"
thanks, enjoy =)
I genuinely laughed at the "Evil Thomas" point :), very funny, and probably because it is so antagonistic against the kindness you emit through your presentations/conversations/monologues. Great reviews, Evil Thomas :) !
=)
I really enjoyed the generations' episode. Thanks for this great review! :)
always a pleasure :)
Great detailed review, love the 10th gen Civic and more so in Hatch form. We take delivery of our next month, Sports trim in Sonic Grey.
thanks for joining us!
Very brave driving Thomas on motorway ,i would've pulled over and fixed that bonnet before doing 200 clicks on motorway i thought that bonnet was going to pop up while you where driving.
Well it was properly in place... hmm
Only 2 boring days left until I get my car, exactly the same as the one that Thomas drove!
enjoy =)
Great video as usual Thomas. I love Honda and am glad to see them coming back to their sporty roots.
thanks pal !
Man that spart look way better then the SI.. the SI dont even have any of those thing good stuff...
I love these kind of videos thank you so much Thomas!
+David Anderson 👍
The CVT box with the 1.5 litre engine is at least as good if not even better than the manual box.
Great review as always,Thomas,bravo.
I've got two questions for you (or owners readinng this):
1. regarding sound insulation, what is top cruising speed for pleasant experience...120,140 kmh or else?
2. how come you didn't mention poor rear headroom, cause it could be very important info when considering buying family car?
I'm 165cm and almost touching roofline with the top of my head.
Thanks in advance, cheers.
Thanks! Didn’t u see the rear compartment seating test? 120 i d say
I did see, so I was quite shocked when I first sat in it yesterday.Too bad Honda dropped tourer version. Thanks for speed info.Keep up the good job,my friend.
Oh man! I like your lengthy detailed reviews every time! Great car this new civic
Thank you so much! Spread the word :)
this was an excellent(as always your videos)video to watch, for someone who is considering of buying this car.so detailed and thorough.happy to say i'm getting my sport plus on next tuesday, can't wait!😊
enjoy! =)
Hi did u buy the civic. I’m thinking off buying the 1.5 how has it been. Any faults with the car. Thanks.
Also i just test drove the new 1-series bmw and it made me realize how good car the civic really is for the price.
ilsot83 thanks for that yep 👍 they look like they are great value for the money. Thanks.
Thumbs up.
Hate the marketing types here at Oz because they are not offering a manual. it's all CVT except with the Type-R.
classic =)
so u get the Type R as manual aight?
Yes only the Type-R is offered in manual here. Such a pity only CVT for the rest of the range and we won't be getting the coupe as well.
I cannot wait to get my facelifted Civic in November!!! Why is it taking sooooo long!!!!
did you get it, could you share some info with us? I ordered mine to, but it will come on spring
That's not correct Thomas at 5:25
The Si always look more sportier and is equiped with a bigger engine(more hp) than a standard civic.
You should have googled it before. The Si does look different.
And at 6:25 you should have added: The Civic Si does come with nearly(!!!) the same engine with 205hp. Changes is primarly the turbo charger
Hi there. I looking forward to Thomas's review of the new honda accord. Can you keep me in touch please.
Great review, however what are your feelings about the styling ? I don't like the front or rear end, it looks too contrived. I'm sure it drives great but it's looks are disappointing. I used to be a big Honda fan in the 80s and 90s but they have nothing in their current range that interests me.
I like this review so much! How it's awesome to see all civic's togeter... I think the new one is really nice and competitive hatch.
appreciated!
Great review! Can I ask about the quality (apart from few issues in the interior) is Honda still maintaining its name in build quality department?
When I had a civic in 2007 I had problems with build quality
Nice review!
"Super stable, super direct at at high speed driving, shifting super sharp, super direct..." for a Honda civic , so you say German car like VW, BMW have to step up the game to distinguish and justify a higher price point in temperature of driving dynamic...?
thanks! What I m saying is that Honda really caught up to the dynamic driving point
I've been spending some weeks visiting several dealers and it's very hard to justify how to pay 4 to 5.000€ more for a 1.5 TSI Golf, less powered, responsive and equipped car.
Once again, very good review. A very, very usefull guide for buyers. Thank you.
Keep watching us =)
Hi Thomas, congrats for the great review!
Wow !! You can feel the passion and the professionalism. Subscribe !!!
welcome !!
Autogefühl merci ! 😉
The 7th, 8th, and 9th generations are different from what we have have here in my country Indonesia. In my opinion, the most beautiful one is the 8th generation sedan. Here, it's called Civic FD. (I don't know if there is a hatchback version. I haven't seen one here)
God'sguidance Joseph Civic FD is actually 8gen sedan, 7gen is ES :)
sandoo798 yes you re right. FD is 8th gen. my fault. 😀
thank for the correction 😁
I also prefer the sedan version. Hope it will be available in Portugal. I don't like the rear of this version at all. Eitherway I think you have to praise Honda for making something completely different and completely new. Designwise - and some exceptions apart - I think the car industry is a bit dull right now. Almost every brand is trying to cut costs in this area, launching endless facelifts, making every model look alike, and using the same solutions (like the floating roofline, two colour scheme rims, coupé ligns, etc) I think it's bold, brave and actually a breath of fresh air building something from zero. Nice review by the way! :)
obrigado!
Well, this is a real review.
Did you figure out what the hood wobble was all about? Thanks for your videos
It seems to be a thing of this car
Thank you Thomas for your excellent reviews!
thanks and stick with us!
Great review. Precise and detailed. Well done. 👍
Great video. I really like the new design. The hatch version looks quite like a sedan which I like.
The 2005 Civic with those fake rear lights hasn't aged well. It really looks so bad now when I see one.
thanks Chris!
Great job guys, I'm watching most of your test reviews,
I'm big honda fan, and next month is our American presentation of 2018 honda accord, I know will be many of reviews, tests.. of new accord, but I really like to see your review of 2018 honda accord, of course, if is possible.
Danke schön, and alles gute.
thanks join us for more!
Sadly the Accord is not available here anymore!
I just can't get past the "Transformers" design language of this latest generation Civic (and many other current Honda models).
What do you think about civic x after 4 years? Do you think it's worth the money?
Great review of the all models Honda Civic! I really like, good job!
glad u liked it!
Great review! Personally I think the car looks good but I understand looks can be subjective. I have a test drive coming up for this car in a week. What do you think of this car vs the mazda 3 hatch?
glad u liked it!
Check our Mazda3 content here: ruclips.net/user/results?search_query=autogefuehl+mazda3
Newer Facelift review of the Mazda3 soon! Then I will also take your question with in the review.
Nice video guys. Thumbs up 👍🏼.
Would this car be ok as a family car? The boot looks big enough.
+Dean Debono thanks! Sure is
Autogefühl thanks for replying man. Was looking at the 1.5 turbo polished metal... This video was very informative, thank you.
And for long trips (noise, comfort..)?
hey m8, check our Seat Leon reviews here: ruclips.net/user/results?search_query=seat+leon+autogefuehl
I find both cars good for sure.
The Seat is more refined in the interior, the Civic however is also a lot of fun. Check both reviews full length and also compare prices
What is your opinion about 12 speakers premium audio system? Or that one had 8 speakers? :)
Another excellent report
Thanks for the generational tour of Civic
glad u liked it!
It will be interesting to see how the sedan does, but I am not sure how efficient the 1.5T will be on the Autobahn, I look forward to your review of that one, especially the CVT version. ;)
stick with us!
Will a review of the Civic 1.5T CVT, be presented soon ?
You are suggesting we would review the very same car again just for a gear box change ? :)
For sure we ll try to do it when we have the chance at a later stage
Not a big fan of the air scoops, either front or back. Too large. The Honda Fit has removed the ones at the rear. Much nicer now. Could I live with them? Yes but would prefer smaller ones. The Civic Coupe is about right. Overall, I am liking the Mazda 3 GT the 2.5 version, will test the Civic hatch next. BTW Honda's paint colours are very nice and the gunmetal grey colour, makes those fake air scoops fade into background.
Gorgeous color. After aegean blue of course...
Love this car! Its like a crv and a volster had a baby. I like the sport touring. Sounda like too many trim names.
I love it. Will buy a new 1.5 Sport next year.
So did you buy it yet?
I've been watching mainly your reviews lately and they are fantastic. Honest and thorough. A question here. I am currently choosing between a Civic hatchback 1.5 sport manual and a Golf Highline 1.5 TSI EVO manual (r-line lowered suspension) with equivalent equipment and similar price. This will be our family car. Which one would you choose?
in your service! Have u compared this video?
ruclips.net/video/96dTrU4YfHM/видео.html
Yes, I've watched both multiple times :D Still struggling to make a decision. What's even funnier is I just included SEAT Ateca FR 1.4 TSI 4DRIVE manual into the equation :D
Can you do a Renault Clio or Peugeot 208 generations video next? Thanks
When will you do a review of the i-dtec hatchback version?
Would love to see one there are only a handful reviewsout there and they are all non conclusive.
This is not the Si Version in other countries. The Si Version has a different exhaust. It is one piece and it is more looking like a “trapez“. It has still the same displacement, but with more power and tork. In the USA the car has as a Si Version 205 hp. But that is only by the way. ;-)
When you testing the sedan of the Civic, is it possible to tell us, what kind safety systems you get as standard?
I will take a look at the sedan considering those aspects, thanks! No date yet but we ll keep u updated
So you say that the UK built cars are worse than the Canadian/US built cars?
Autogefühl I would not go so far. But, I think it is not only me, we just want to know, if tjere are differences. :-D
Thanks for the awnser and we will waiting of the video ;-)
Other way around. The UK built cars are worse.
Honda used to package their engines so cleanly. What's going on?
The new one is much of the same.
Best looking car.
VW, looks the same and boring
Design is personal, but for a car to sell well it has to look appealing.
Thomas, how about a review of the Honda Ridgeline? But perhaps you only review vehicles sold in Europe?
I would like to see Honda ridgeline as well please
Yes cannot get that one here :(
Hello Autogefühl,
can you tell us the tyres that the cars come from the factory. I know that this could change, and be market specific but still. Recently I watched a review on skoda superb and a passat and the reviewer suggested that the difference in tyres made the most difference in stopping distance and slalom. Also the steering feel. So please can you state the tyres when testing.
Keep up the good work.
yes tyres are very important, however the tyres on the test vehicles do not necessarily need to be those that come from the line
If they can give one, just one good engine to Fernando Alonso, I might - MIGHT - consider.
lol
Great review!
(Y)
I'm waiting for the sedan test!
Thomas the blind spot monitor come too late in minute 35:38 to 36:17. Did you notice this in the review ?
yeah it could come earlier, there are different philosophies about that. Some systems really show the exact blind spot moment, some warn in advance. I prefer systems that warn in advance
I have a 2015 accord, and I also noticed the front hood wobbling on the highway today.
It's a problem that can be fixed easily
@@dragospahontu What's your take on Hondas? Worth optioning a new civic to the max or spending extra for a BMW 2 Gran Coupe or just going for a 3er?
In Serbia entry level civic is 2k euros more than highline golf.
Will on this new Honda engines also have to change engine every time like on F1?
How the hell do you guys get LED on the sport and we in the US get the crappy incandescent lights?
Thomas, I test drove the Hatchback, 2 different trims and they both had the tires squeal.
Are they cheap? Are they limiting the acceleration performance of the car? What do you suggest to fix this - what upgrade?
You mean when accelerating? I had that once as you heard in the video when I was slipping the clutch. But normally the tyres shouldnt squeal
Nice job, lots of details you mentioned and thanks a lot 👍
Cheers please recommend our channel :)
@@autogefuehl Would be my pleasure, thanks for the perfect reviews anyway.
Too bad for the rear design and the infotainment quality. The sport plus (the one reviewed) comes fully loaded as standard and with a 184 hp engine for just under 30k euros.. thats amazing.
+KM25 indeed it is a good offer
