Thank you for another awesome SAL, Kay. Your Floral Coaster is gorgeous. Great idea for the waterproof fabric. The closed caption feature is not on. No problem, but I love reading along with your SAL's. Angel Huggers!!
Hi Kerry, you can use PUL or even recyle the lining out of your freezer shopping bags, that is what I tend to do and what I did in this video. PUL and other waterproof linings are available in fabric shops. You could ecen use recycled shower curtains too as they are waterproof, the fabric doesn't have to be thick. Happy stitching.
You do need two layers when there is a satin stitch border. Stabilizer is the foundation of your building so to speak it is there to stop the stitches from becoming distorted, if you dont use enough the satin stitching will become rounded and uneven rather than flat and neat.
Hi Lynette my large pair are from Amazon they are pinch action precision aquarium scissors and the smaller pair I use for trimming my fabric are scissors used for pergamano they were from my local craft shop but they do sell them on Amzon, search squizzors and they should come up

Do you need 2 layer wash away stabilizer? can you do it with 1 wash away stabilizer?
