    UPDATE: Deciem's annual sale is actually 23% off, not 30% lol my bad
    Hey everyone,
    Bear with me as I take you all through this long review of NIOD CAIS3 and some extra thoughts I want to share in the comments section:
    I think I'm back and forth with my feelings about NIOD CAIS3 because 1) Price, 2) I have other products that give similar results and more, 3) Uncertainty about peptides, 4) Still having a desire to want less, even in skincare!
    For long-time users of NIOD CAIS3, what are your thoughts?
    xo, M

      I bought the copper peptide + buffet when Deciem had their flash sale. I didn't really like it. It was difficult to work into my routine with other conflicting products that I had been using for quite some time. I begrudgingly used only it with a moisturizer to finally finish the bottle (I was so worried it would go so quickly considering it's pricier, but it was the opposite.) About a week or so after I put the bottle in the empties to be recycled, my boyfriend commented how lovely my skin looked. It was the first time he's ever complimented my complexion. And now that I'm back to my old products and routine, I have to agree. T_T I'm holding off for Deciem's Slovember sale to pick up another bottle. lol

      Maybe I need some absence of NIOD CAIS3 to make the heart grow fonder hehe. But I've had that moment with the fermented serums so I'm just a ball of confusion lol

    I apply this serum on bare face then I add a thin layer of their cooper amino isolate lipid and then go to sleep. It works wonders, I wake up with very glowy and fresh skin, I feel that my skin is more elastic and plump, fine lines are diminished a bit after a few days and I also noticed that my eyelash grew much stronger. Somehow these effects shows much more when two products paired together than just using either of them alone.

    It is funny, but I always wondered why my normal skincare routine sting my face before my period. So thank you for mentioning that. When I think about it now it’s totally clear but before I never see the connection.

    This is sort of "old" for youtube standards, but I just wanted to add that copper peptides, in particular, are NOT new, and actually one of the only deeply researched peptides. It's been studied since the 70s, and we don't just have "the manufacturer's" info. I used up the Ordinary's multipeptide serum + 1 % copper peptide and honestly did not like it, nor did I see much results from it, but I'm still interested in checking NIOD's version out.

    Perfect timing. I just opened my first bottle of CAIS. Although I have trouble integrating it as I’m prioritizing tretinoin, which is currently every day as I’m on a low starter dose. (I know, don’t use too many new things, but here we are.) I know I’ve seen ppl use copper peptides under tret but I’m not sure about that. CAIS doesn’t seem to get along with others well. Like you, I’m also (more) excited about fermented ingredients. It just immediately clicked. I chose the red algae first essence and serum because Odile mentioned it was more like the original Missha essence and it’s discontinued so it’s now or never. Do you know how CAIS / copper peptides get along with fermented ingredients? I’ve been trying to do every other morning (alternating with antioxidants antioxidant) but I’m also trying to prioritize a first essence (Sulwhasoo recently, now Red Algae) which implies that the FE goes on, well, first. Never mind if this hasn’t come up for you but we seem to have similar product preferences and thought processes so I thought I’d ask. Thanks for the video!

      I made tretinoin the star of my routine and made sure whatever I used just catered to it until my skin acclimated. This took years because I was constantly upgrading strengths of Vitamin A ;_; Perhaps try NIOD CAIS3 on your neck if you're not using tret there? I know Jude from 50 Shades of Snail does that.
      I have tried NIOD CAIS3 with tret once; But since it has the "delivery" technology of "maximizing skin availability", I didn't want to risk irritation. I've also used it with the Missha Ampoule and there was a sensation, but nothing irritating. I haven't used the Missha Ampoule long enough but so far it's been pretty gentle.
      I love Odile's videos! They've convinced me to carry on with fermented ingredients and even consider trying Hanbang skincare!

      @@michxmash I regret a bit starting with CAIS now as I am adjusting to tretinoin. If or when I’ll go on every other night with tretinoin I might have a better space for it. I do want to give it a fair chance to get a sense for the product.
      I received a generous sample of the Sulwhasoo First Care Activating serum and liked it more than expected. So, after the Red Algae I will give it a try.

    Is it recommended to use on the lips? Thank you. Can you mix it with acids or retinols? Thank you

    • @michxmash
      @michxmash  Год назад

      When I use CAIS3 I do apply it on my lips! I tend to not pair it with acids or tretinoin, best to keep it the star active in a routine.

    Can this serum be used in the same routine with finacea ( azeleic acid prescription)?

    • @michxmash
      @michxmash  Год назад

      I'd personally use them in separate routines. NIOD's website says it has a "delivery technology" that maximizes availability of this treatment and any following after. My skin majority of the time felt irritated by their Re:Pigment serum, but now I wonder if it's because I used both CAIS3 and RP in the same routine... I may test this later on as I'm taking a break this month with most actives except tretinoin. I hope this long-winded reply made sense :D
