Part 8 of a SnowRunner Hard Mode Strategic Walkthrough.
In this episode I travel back into Black River, rescue the Chevrolet Kodiak C70 and complete the Stuck Trailer, Drowned Heavy Truck, Drowned Scout and Drowned Highway Truck tasks.

Your diligence towards not breaking any objects or trees is impressive! You can actually break the barriers on the road by honking the horn as you are about to hit it. The horn "shockwave" will make the barriers dismantle.
Yeah, and honking away wooden street signs, fences and whole clouds of ravens in the woods! :D

FYI, I just found out that you can refuel from the Drowned Highway Truck.
I don't know if the Scout or Heavy trucks work, but I don't see why they wouldn't. I also don't know if objective completion requires the same 10% that fuel trailers do.
It hit me right before I turned in the GMC: If you can turn the engine on while winching, they must have fuel. If they have fuel, you can take it, right? Sure enough, it worked.
Yes , I did that several times. It works for all three drowned farm vehicles.

That P-16 is a monster. I looked through the MOD browser the other day, the P-16 is the number 1 modded/tweaked truck in this game.
I would think that would mean people hate a lot of things about it, no?
It’s a quite capable truck, but best suited for hauling long logs imo. There’s other trucks that are better overall. Tayga ofcourse, but an upgraded fleetstar is a really nice all-rounder. I still use the fleetstar quite often even though it’s pretty much the first truck in the game.
@@Cbyneorne not necessarly! could also mean that people want more things for it so they do them themselves (which is most likely the case)
I like how you back down to get the stuck trailer. I always drive down and make a sketchy turn around in the swamp. Luckily I never get stuck but your method is much better for sure.
Cruising through Black River with the Pacific is probably the lazyest way to pull all that stuff out of the swamps xD xD.

Blows my mind how well you have everymove laid out. i seesr in this game i just wander around and spend most of my time backtracking for parts

I'm certain I'm going to watch all 61 since I might never be in a place in life to play it myself. Watching these videos is such a relief compared to watching people who are not so quick at adapting to the challenges
i love the p16. admittedly, i neglected to use it bc it was rwd. it's an incredible offroader and quite stable as well. it's even decent on fuel, even under load. the only thing i don't like about it is its tendency to lock up going up hills or if it doesn't have enough momentum to keep moving. however, that was really only a problem on later maps such as the yukon and wisconsin. i only sold it recently and it was a HARD goodbye. swapped it for the twinsteer (which i also neglected until i found the awd upgrade) and that has recently become a new favorite

I always wondered why they don't have a loader or a road grader in this..so you can work on the roads..?
Rural areas, the place where a huge pothole can remain for decades. Still, the oil companies should have these types of machinery.
@@mrapple2544 This is rural North America though and I can tell you from personal experience that roads this bad are extremely unusual.
Even with the p-16 it’s a pain to get the wester star on the main road.
Its always a pain to do even with a mastodon the road is just too narrow for winched trucks to go trough
May I ask, why you don't use high gear for long travel with the P-16 to save on petrol?
High gear in the p16 is very slow, it should only be used for towing up hills so the tranny doesn’t have to mess about with the gears

First time I played snowrunner I thought I could use my stock chevy ck to rescue the drowned chevy ck🤦♂️🤦♂️ big no no ahah managed to drag my truck out but when back with (cant remember the name) the first awd/diff lock heavy truck you unlock next to the 1st garage

When you rescued the kodiak and the schevy you should have taken their fuel before turning in.
I don’t think this guy has ever broken a fence or anything
A couple videos before this he straight went through a fence to attach to a trailer; though, he could've adjusted ten feet over and not taken out the fence. Showed me a bit of pragmatism in regards to this being a game after all is said and done

this game can be so frustrating. Going 1/2mph through some mud, to get to rocks, and get high centered. get unstuck, then flip. then drive a truck, flip it, then flip the recovery truck over. i've played so much in this game, trying to get trucks unstuck, or flipped.
You ain't kidding. Dude roll overs are a pain in the ass. And they upped the mud physics tonthe 9th degree its rediculas. Also I libe the game and this guy has guided me though every step of the way. Kudos to the crator.
Is there no mini-map in this game or a GPS heading for mission and deliveries?
There are some functions that I've seen in other people's playthroughs. Our guy here is just exceptionally familiar with the game and his scheduled tasks

That is not hard mode. I think really hard mode in Snowrunner is not to use the P16 at all. Watching your vid so effortlessly doing all those things I bitterly remember how I struggled hard with my early scouts and the 2070 with street tires to do all those things. E. g. Winching that Codiak out of the mud foot by foot for an hour... :D I did EVERY SINGLE task in Black River before I moved on to Smithville Dam. :D

Something is wrong, or is a old version or... I know the roads, Iknow the map, you cant pass in some area that easy like you pass. Close the garage is a road who goues to fuel station. In that area I saw you how you pass, you cant pass there without stuck. Evrething is too yasy for you.
15:22 got stuck in a pothole, spent 30m easy every 1inch till I was able to winch out ;) Almost rage quit 🫨
