I can’t stand it when people touch knobs 20 times without making any ajustments...I’ve seen a million techno dj’s do it during live sets and a gazillion guys that do “dubs”..
Dub mixing stepper 👏👏👍👍 manifikoooo 🔥🔥🔥

Hi,
Also do you know of a smaller mixer set up that could accomplish the same results?
Thank you
Just a laptop with a midi controller is smaller than a 19“ analog dub mixing setup
@@FoundationStepper thank you, I do really like the hands on , on the fly with faders etc.. just watching your 'Einen Reggae Groove aus andiron youtube videos kreieren' video .... cut and paste stylee - a lee
Hi,
Great videos & dub mixes...I would like a tutorial video or diagram/full picture of your ins + outs how your aux and sub mix etc work routing your effects towards your final mix if possible.
....I remember using these old cassette tape multi-recorders and your mix thru the large mixer with 4 aux's gave you some great options for dubbing with external effects.
(I've had a couple of good results solely with the digital Zoom R8 recording live instruments...)
So from 4 outs from the tape into the 4 ins +4 aux's for internal and external effects, I could not understand what your final dub mix was recorded on?
was it on another tape recorder?
or digital recorder?
Thank you
Hi there, and thanks for your interest and comment. yep, the stereo out/master out goes in a audio interface recorded into a DAW. When I record mixes not at home I use a handy recorder. It is also possible to the record the direct outs of the mixer into the DAW, so you have individual tracks to play with (again).
cheers 🙌
@@FoundationStepper Hi, and thank you for your reply.
I saw another of your videos where you linked individual effect pedals.. was that into a single aux in where you then have to pick and choose which effect to use as not have extra aux inputs?
is it really that straight forward linking individual effect pedals?
The video with the FutureTec mixer was visually interesting even though I don't understand German.. did you use a analogue to digital converter with that mix?
@@doxdubsox thanks 🙏
yes, it is so simple. I use one effect per aux channel but can link so many in a row as you like. In the FutureTec video I linked the phaseshifter you see on screen direct into the guitars channel because I dont needed the opportunity to have a phaser on the drums channel (for example)
🙏
Weird tempo drop@ 1:31, intentional?
This whole thing was sick. Can't believe you went from those little elektron things to this result. You reckon there's a way to do this more portable without having the big mixer and tape recorder, but still using hardware?
Thanks man.
I have no clue, sorry. But this setup is as small as I know
Tape saturation is beautiful !!! And what a dubbing skills !! Good sound choise also !!! ❤️❤️
thanks mate ✨
Amazing. I learned so much from watching this series.
I would love to get more of a breakdown of the effects. I would like to build a setup like this!
Thanks man
good that you mention that. the next tutorial I'll go through my effects.
Hi, great stuff, what is the brand and make of the mixer used in this video (4 x Aux!!!) Thanks
Thanks man,
It is a cheap Behringer xenyx x2442 usb. But it makes a good job!
Bless up bro
Having recorded your mix to the Tascam would you then re-record back into DAW, re-amping etc or do you like the flava of the Tascam so much it will be finished sound? Just curious. I like this.
Hi man,
thanks for stepping by. No daw was used in the whole process. The riddim was produced with an Elektron Model: samples and a model: cycles and recorded directly on tape.
@@FoundationStepper Cool but I was wondering if you would take what you have and load it to DAW for further processing or if this the finished sound you like? One love
Can you explain how to connect tape into mixer?
Cables bro, Cables.
@@albionpatterns3986 sorry, i asking silly question. I just realized if yamaha mt4x have 4 output. Case closed :)
sure my friend 00:14 from the direct outputs of the tape recorder (channel 1-4) to the inputs of the mixer (channel 1-4) I hope this helps
@@FoundationStepper thanks so much. I skipped in the beginning of video :D
no problem bro
