All those organic sounds bring so much richness to the overall sound. Actually hits my body in a more meaningful way than if it was all just synth sounds.
Wow the size and the built in mic makes the P-6 looks so handy!! Also, what an amazing review video, it just kept getting better and better! Thanks Huw!
Your video is the one that sold me on the P-6! Combining the P-6 samples you captured with Splice plus everything else the P-6 FOR THE RELATIVELY LOW PRICE and mobility makes it a no brainer especially if other AiraCompsct devices are owned! Thanks for sharing this! 🎯🎉♥️💯🔥🌶️🏆👑👍🏾
I'm getting more and more confused if I should get this or the KO 2. ... Or just save up for the 404 mk2. Man I just want a drum machine to go with my eurorack 😢
@@CKTDSTUDIO It's $200 more expensive than the P-6 but this is a pretty great option. Probably gonna pick this gameboy over the calculator but the p-6 is still there. Thank you!
u done beautiful job with presenting fun of this machine, its really inspiring to sample like that in good quality and mess with good onboard effects. i feel like its more incredible machine than ko2, only with not so much sample slots and in less attractive look (im planning to buy it in future after selling ko2 and make custom design on top:))
@@333_Tarot i saw other videos where the creators would sample a something than resample it several times while lowering the resolution and adding vfx for that lofi sound. Sounds awesome
This is a Direct to Bad Gear device if I ever saw one. The only advantage to the cramped interface is that it's super-portable, but you still need the app to manage samples (which you can't even name/browse on that awful 4-digit display). So that makes it a lot less portable than using a real 404 or just putting Koala on your phone. But I appreciate that it has those 16 step buttons! Maybe it has a TR-style sequencer that's less clunky than the pattern mode on the SP-404MK2? The layout looks like a tiny Model:Samples, but I'd be very surprised if there's actually a good sequencer on the thing. But if there is... I take all this back and I'm definitely buying one. 😂
4:27 this doesn’t make sense to my workflow. You have this little device hooked up to a computer that can do everything it does, but faster and better.
Real-time nudge, granular sampling, on-board mic...there are three reasons. Better portability and variable sample rate...theres two more. Also, $300 is not a "Tiny bit more"
@@koncreteto2758 Thats over double the price and WAY bigger. I want a tiny little groovebox that I can fit in a sling bag. I want to bring a mini sampler on a hike and start an idea on top of a mountain. This is perfect for that.

This question has been popping up, so I thought I’d mention it here: You can sample in through the USB C port from your phone directly

Definitely cool for doing foley for short films and indie movies
Great video. I was surprised at how well the mic worked!

Roland p6 vs po-133...... which would you buy? Im leaning towards the roland p6....... what are your thoughts
@@Adjustmentxdisorder oh man, that’s such a personal question. You’ll need to look within to answer that one :)

Can you use fx on the line in? Like the fx looper? Say, from a youtube vid for instance?
Great video man. How long did it take you get this accustomed to it?
On a surface level I felt comfortable sampling and sequencing straight out of the box. 2 weeks later I’m still discovering what the p6 can do
Great showcase. Can the Mix in audio be routed to efx section or the global reverb/delay or it remains unefected like with S1?
I told myself I wasn’t gonna buy hardware anymore. Seriously testing my resolve right now.
@PaulOrtiz waste of money, if you want the same features check out tal sampler
Looks really cool!
Can this be used as a live effects processor for something like a turntable?

what kind of headphones are you using in the field?

can i record a sample from a stereo source like turntable or MP3 player and loop it on?
