Shawn Adams (thinking dunking on someone means posterizing) not really...but whatever, when you dunk on someone that person is 99% of the time under or at most half way from free throw line and rim. Can you imagine a player dunking on someone standing at the free throw line? that's never happened, would never happen, and it would be stupid considering one of them will be hurt...also you wouldn't be able to finish the dunk.

      Bonk Caesar
To give you a quick summary regarding the negatives of Kobe’s shooting/ scoring here’s some records that Kobe Bryant holds:
First all-time in total missed shots in the regular season.
All-time leader in missed shots in the playoffs
All-time leader in missed shots when you combine the regular season and playoffs
Most missed game winners and buzzer beaters
Only Finals MVP not to shoot above 50% in a single finals game (did this both in 2009 and 2010)Worst shooting performance by any NBA finals MVP in history (40%)
Out of the top 20 players in points per game all time, the only player from the modern era with a lower career FG% than Kobe is Iverson
There are only 13 games in NBA history where someone has scored 50 points or more on sub 50% shooting, Kobe is responsible for 7 of those 13 games
.Only 5 players in NBA history have missed over 2,000 more shots than they’ve made; Allen Iverson, Bob Petit, John Havlicek, Elvin Hayes and Kobe Bryant.
Kobe hold the record for most consecutive NBA Finals games shooting under 50% (15)

T mac was definitely on the same level as Kobe was back there. You know its fair to say that he's better actually. It's just that Kobe worked so hard that his improvement closed the gap between them real fast and that Tmac's injury affected him so much that his supposedly years of playing in his prime shorten. I mean If I could only imagine how a healthy Tracy's career could've been. Kobe knew this, he even admitted it. And that serves as a motivation for him.

no lol dont give out false information... kobe only said tmac was the toughest to deal with. lol at "kobe worked so hard to close the gap". you talk like there was a really real big difference between the two of them. ever since 2000 tmac and kobe had been considered two best one on one players. their match ups were always one of the most anticipated because no one could predict the result. sometimes when tmac was out of the playoffs and they played kobe on iso balls because shaq was on the bench or in foul trouble, kobe was even called the best one on one player in the world. 2006 kobe with 62 points in 3 quarters, 81 points game or 2007 kobe with 4 consecutive over 50 points wouldnt be scared of any tmac in prime, perfect health or whatnot, dont forget he won his mvp in 2008 :/ dont say these numbers are juat about scoring because tmac game is built around his offensive skils and tmac rpg and apg mostly are similiar to kobes (around 5 5) but injuries later dropped his ppg to 19. thats why tmac was up there with kobe too. his injuries didnt keep him reach the peak of his game but rather it kept his prime short enough to diminish his and the team thata built around him any chance of winning a championship. we've seen prime tmac. and i dont see any gap that prime kobe would had to work so hard to cover gaps when tmac was out because of injuries lol

    • @aS-ce4jd
      @aS-ce4jd 8 лет назад

also tmac was never a defender kobe was. he rarely tried to d up. kobe was the best perimeter defender on his team for years and had to guard best offensive players on other teams a lot (paul pierce, ray allen, lebron, vince carter, ...)

Before his injuries, Tmac was guarding Kobe well. Defensively, Tmac was the best on Kobe, he was familiar with Kobe Bryant's habits and techniques, because they are very similar players. Kobe openly admitted before that Tmac was hard to guard for him, because during Tracy's prime athletic Orlando days, he was essentially Kobe Bryant with a higher vertical, which is why while Tracy can follow most of Kobe's moves and occasionally block his jumpshot, Kobe couldn't reach the peak of Tracy's jumpshot, and so was at a disadvantage. Physically, Tracy was gifted enough to beat out Kobe in the same game. Kobe's work ethic and dedication to the game though, is no joke, dude didn't let some intangible like height and wingspan get in his way, still competed at Tmac full-force and matched him despite the disadvantage. Both of them are legendary, and it's a shame we weren't gifted with more of this rivalry due to the misfortunate career that Tmac had.

    • @ThePlaterism

ThePlaterism T-Mac had more assists per turnover, this clearly shows that he took better care of the ball, 0.8 less turnovers than Kobe which is nearly less than 1 whole turnover per game. Turnovers can decide a game so T-Mac would be the obvious choice.

still remember how these two guys' duel when tmac were playing at Magic. They showed their anticipation and passion. Lots of physical contact, eager to play hard on each other. ofc combined good technique and skills.
But after all these years, when they met each other again at a much more mature period of their career, they were really showing something beautiful and elegance by their own moves. Less explosive, more skills and easy shot, which only great talents can make it easy on eyes but efficiency on the scoreboard.
in my own opinion, there won't be any duels after this two guys. the duels perfectly matched on talent, skills, and wisdom

T-mac has often hinted at david stern setting up series against him because they don't want low seeds to beat the high seeds. kobe fans never want to admit the truth. everyone acts like kobe won all his champs on his own. that's not true at all, except for 2002 he won that champ fair and square...cough
this is what really went down. this is the story the mass media don't want you to know because they got to sell the product.
kobe never won a champ without a allstar center, Phil Jackson, AND Jerry West pulling all the levers behind the curtains Wizard of Oz style. take any of these out of the equation and he doesn't even get out of the first round. don't believe me do your homework
with the lakers dealing with post Kareem and Magic show times lakers dynasty
Jerry "The Logo" West was able to talk Shaquille O'neal into leaving The Orlando Magic and trade for Kobe Bryant to be his wingman and left the lakers Mitch kupcake in good hands. Kobe who was going to be no one's wing man runs off shaq (squeakiest wheel gets the oil) and sounded like your typical bitch after a bad breakup
      Kobe-"I'm independent"
next three years he doesn't even get out of the first Rd. we get to see what kobe really was, a high volume scorer hell bent on catching Michael Jordan. Then he demands trade to Clippers in response The lakers (with my best straight face on) trade kwame brown, second round 48th draft pick, and 2 throw in to Memphis for a current allstar center in Pau Gasol. and who is the guy in the Memphis management that helped this lopsided trade go through?
none other than Jerry "The Logo" West himself. the same guy who created the Shaq kobe duo. he had to fix the lakers fuck up by sending another allstar center to kobe rescue. luckily Memphis second pick rights turned out pretty damn good in Marc Gasol.
"What they did in Memphis is beyond comprehension," said Popovich. "There should be a trade committee that can scratch all trades that make no sense. I just wish I had been on a trade committee that oversees NBA trades. I'd like to elect myself to that committee. I would have voted no to the L.A. trade."- Gregg Popovich
Now Jerry West is with the Golden State Warriors and played a key role in getting Kevin Durant to sellout and leave OKC which I disagree with but is at the same time sweet justice to me because Oklahoma had no business stealing a franchise from Seattle to begin with. suck it okc yall stole a legend franchise and lost James Harden and Kevin Durant. karma
Kobe had help with his champ...lots of help. and anyone who is in denial about the truth and think ignorance is bliss be careful because ignorance can turn into arrogance very easily
kobe wasnt even consider the best sg until Michael Jordan retired and Tracy Mcgrady got hurt

    • @ABCeeDouble
      @ABCeeDouble 7 лет назад

the dude Your argument can be summed up like this: "Kobe would have never won so many championships without Shaq/Gasol". You people who continue to use this argument realize basketball is a team sport? I could make the same case for ANY championship performer, it still would be an extremely weak argument. Let's look at some championship performers who are all as talented as T-Mac whom all has at least one all-star partner, just like TMac did in Houston: Magic, Olajuwon, Shaq, MJ, LeBron, KG, Duncan, Wade... Do you think they could have won without their all star teammates? No. Are they still top 10-20 players of all time? Yes. You see how that argument makes no sense?
I'll leave it at this: all the greats (including AI, Shaq, LeBron, T-Mac, VC) agree that MJ and Kobe are two of the greatest skilled basketball players. And that's in spite of Kobe's injuries. So there's really no argument.

Can’t question T-Mac’s game but something about his shooting mechanics, in particular when he lands on one leg, makes me wonder if it led to injuries.

kobe is kobe you cant argue with that second GOAT after MJ what he has done all those years stats rings also stolen 1-2 mvp, he is uncontested, but, if tmac didnt have that injuries and hadnt missed games he would have been really damn closer to kobe or the second versiion of kobe no one knows

Down the stretch Kobe does the Scottie Pippern Doberman defense stance (slapping the ground for mere effect and or intimidation)as McGrady is bring the ball up court; that was a wild finished!

Honestly Kobe has the will to win at any cost if it means bitching and moaning he will do that.. I love his fire and tenacity For the game all these people act like its a bad thing.. Tmac is great id love to see how it would've been if he never got injured but don't compare him to Kobe look back at all that Kobe has done PERIOD
