It took me several years to realize this and I had to figure this out on my own. I'm surprised someone is actually teaching it. This is a really important concept to learn because it opens up some really high-level counters. Coach Anthony didn't mention many counters with this video but I'm sure he'll make some in the video using these frames.

you might be the best boxing trainer on youtube in terms of teaching. if I lived in your city instead of LA I would be paying you to teach me. I think you are great. the only people who Ide go to before you is floyd sr. and rodger

i've always felt awkward slipping the right hand but i've dropped to frame 3 sort of by accident/naturally and it's worked great in the past. In the UK a lot of gyms have very rigid ways of teaching so seeing this is a breath of fresh air.

Damn…the frame concept is simple but brilliant - amazing how concepts like this and other analogies can be so powerful. Like the time I was working a heavy bag and my trainer walks up and says nice work kid, but remember when you can hit the bag, it means the bag can hit you too. Maybe I’m a simpleton, but I was like “damn”! Stuck with ever since. Coach A - you’re the man! Thank you so much for the content.

Watched this vid last night before bed. Got to the gm today and only worked on this with partners for two hours. Highly effective and a lot better then me just randomly moving my head during sparring with no real rhyme or reason. It was relaxing too as I was tired and didn't really feel like throwing any punches today. Almost like an active recovery type of workout

Totally agree, I've been training about two years and I've never like the slip right slip left, and I remarked to my trainer that you never see floyd mayweather even slip crosses to his lift, preferring the 'frame 2 and frame 3' approach. This confirms it for me, great logic! Good work coach Anthony- subscribing!

Great video ! I see a lot of boxers using this concept, but few trainers break it down explicitly ! I hope he drops some more knowledge soon. If I recall cus d'amato would teach his fighters to always slip the jab far to the left (3rd frame), so that the right hand would always go over their head and they would be in the position to counter. Floyd Mayweather uses these concepts a lot as well where he would slip the jab to the outside and then slip even more in the same direction to avoid the right.

I have seen about 1000 boxing videos but none as well explained as these videos. I find it very interesting the concept of frames because it is a universal concept. Perhaps other fighting styles have a similar but not as in-depth idea. Boxing has small details that make it something so meticulous and beautiful.
I appreciate your work and dedication. Keep working Mr Anthony! Shouts from Gran Canaria.
