- Today we finally learned of the fate of the Beast Tamer class in MapleStory. She will be reworked into a new class called Lynn. Existing beast tamers will have to transfer their class into this new one once she is released. Which I am expecting sooner rather than later for our region.
The new beast tamer class will have a new story, newly reworked starting area and will have new skills. She will have a Bear, Wolf and Bird as her companion and will have supportive skills, just like the existing beast tamer. The trailer that was released today was rather short. And not that much information was given. This class will be released in TMS at the end of February.

Should've made the BT into a Druid shapeshifting type class.
That’s her gimmick, she just uses the actual animals instead of shifting into them…
I mean at least shes not deleted but.. rip Chase. I remember when she first came out in 2014, I was intrigued by the aspect of a limited time class, and the style was cool. She literally looks like Lara's cousin now. At least give her the ears back what are those dinky branches.
They are probably trying to push her further away from being an anima class, and into "mage with animal friends", as I'm assuming they have 0 intentions to port this to KMS to make it canon and animas play an important role in canon maplestory
If you already have a beast tamer I doubt they take your ears and tail away
as they are a separate class they will not have ears and tail, and they may even remove the Cash item to have transparent ears and tail. given what we see of her it looks like Lynn has no ears and tail at all and is just a human, the branches being just decoration for her hair, as we se the young version of her does not have said branches if they were even to be perceived as "ears". @@walabixha1746

So it's not a rework, they replace Chase with Lynn. Man, I'm a bit sad. Also, RIP Cat.

I dont mind the overhaul and i realize they have to change her story to be lore consistent but i wish they at least kept chase as a character
I wonder if Chase will be mentioned in the story. I guess it's unlikely, but it could be a nice sendoff to the original incarnation of the Child of the Forest.
When Jett got removed, I knew BT would be next on the chopping block. At least they didn't outright remove the entire class!!
As far as what I see. My BT(main) would be better off turning into an Explorer😅 I was actually anticipating my BT to be an I/L mage😂😂😂
have fun having wasted all your money and time on beast tamer only for all your work to be deleted and then they rerelease beast tamer under a new name
@@toukoenriaze9870…fairly sure you keep all your progress, you just job change into Lynn if you’re a pre-existing BT, except now the class will hopefully be updated more often and get a support team to work on it more often.
I swear nexon will do everthing but give gms their own game developers

Just learned of this, and hopefully some news about which cash shop inventory she'll share with others will be announced, for the Transfer event.
Soon hayato and kana will be reworked too just to be released on other regions.

I dont play Maplestory I just watch coppersan vids and stuff I cant imagine having stuff like your class outright removed or swapped for a different sort of aesthetic. The way I'd quit on the spot y'all are strong
That would be happening if it wasn't for the fact these classes have like 3 players at most. People forgot Jett existed and now suddenly it's a problem that it's gone.

Holy hell that a big revamp to change every single thing about beast tamer to even change her name o boy I really excited to see how this turn out
All I care about is what's happening to the link skill!
As someone with BT as my second main, I can say that I'm at least excited to see them modernised given just how many issues they've had in the past with the class and how poorly designed it was for 5th job (which makes sense, given that it was originallt designed long before 5th and 6th job progression systems were thought of).
Plus, there's also an issue of clunkiness from things like adding a new common skill to all the different stances, ideally needing to cycle through the animals to make sure to activate all their buffs when you go to burst, etc. These new skills look beautiful and look like they'll be able to overlap and use multiple animals simultaneously, so I'm tentatively excited.
My only question is how their mobbing will change, since their bossing looks like it'll be improved via a new backstep. BT's mobbing is currently completely insane, but also, 6th job's upcoming Janus summons can pick up the slack if their performance did go down some so it won't be the end of the world as long as it's fun.
I mean I guess I'm not upset at this, I hope they make her more viable as a support.
I hyperburned her because i liked the gameplay and also the cat mode on bosses are usefull, i hope the new one works the same as chase, im gonna miss the 4 animals but the new one sounds pretty and interesting, i cant wait to play the new job

It would make sense I think, especially since she looks related to HY and Lara now.
Kind of upset about losing Chase but at the same time intrigued by Lynn. I wish Chase could have stayed a GMS exclusive or something and add Lynn in as an alternative BT to play as- kind of like Demon Slayer and Demon Avenger. Also hope Lynn has something similar to those big ears and ruff-looking tail because I wouldn't be surprised if some BTs that bought the perm invisible equips from Black Friday might be a little upset of wasted NX.
If they were a competent company, they'd keep Chase as an alt
This is the biggest issue I can see with the change from Chase to Lynn, any specific BT cosmetics that might not be compatible with Lynn design changes need to be compensated for people who have bought such items.

finally no more 4 separate classes in 1? really hope this removes the 4 classes and just has 1 class with different beasts in the same skill tree, you could still get something on using different beasts since pathfinder relic system exists

It plays so differently to beast tamer >.> I logged in today and it’s just like being locked into bear mode but with better mobbing. I was an eka focused beast tamer, flying around deleting the entire screen, constant screen clears and explosions everywhere. this is sort of boring in comparison. I would’ve even preferred if they kept the gameplay like lai and I barely touched his tree :| and honestly I miss the animal friends so much, so much personality is gone now ^^” the damage is better though I guess.

I think it's good to realize as a community that this is essentially a removal of Beast Tamer so they can release a whole separate class this feels like a "compensation" for the removal of the Chase class almost
Lynn and Chase are going to be completely separate entities, with completely separate stories, with completely separate aesthetics so much so that I wouldn't even call this a rework and after the "Jett Incident" I really look at Nexon with a critical eye so I'm still waiting to see if this is a curse excited but cautious for this one
They haven't released a bad class in years, in fact quite the contrary. Lynn can only be better considering where bt sits on dps charts consistently and the game being geared more and more towards solo play. If you're playing the game as bt currently the only way to go is up.
So, basically, Korea decided they wanted their own version of the Beast Tamer, and now everybody else has to lose the original for the new girl xD

What made Beast tamer a beast tamer was the skill diversity. You could literally play the way you wanted and you would almost NEVER run into another Beast tamer with the same skill path as you
while still having that bond that youre both beast tamers.
Now its too early to tell, but im pretty sure this new BT is just going to be like every other class where you hit the job advancement and press button to max all skills. THATS BORING!!!!!!!!! You have 40 something other classes that do that

removing totems from the RP shop but caving to the FZ totem demands over instanced maps
The RP shop is empty and soulless. I gain more RP than I know what to do with.

90% of the drops are never used and thrown out, not even npced
and 90% of the quest lines are never even started
Theres never any actual sales in the CS, just the reintroduction of limited edition items

I'd put money on the Lynn having a better overall kit, I'd keep an open mind about it but I also didn't enjoy getting BT to 210 either.
@@jeremiahd187 I got my BT to 210 in HoH before 5th job was even a concept and I loved every minute of it. so to each their own.
I am waiting for her skill to make final judgement but I really dont think the transition is going to go well over at all and I believe it would be in nexons best interest to release lynn as a seperate class apart from chase and just re work chase completely while keeping her assets.

its good that they changed it the bird always felt rly weak but great for mobility at the same time kinda confusing. They also got rid of the cat skills and turnned them into skills for all animals which is alot better so you have to choose which always bothered me. And tbh i think its a great idea to swap the leopard for a wolf cause in your usual forest, wolfs are alot more common then leopards.
Hawk and Leopard is strong if you know what you’re doing with 5th job Nodes.👍
i think its so stupid they change her and now the animals look so cutsie and ugly... honestly its a waste of resources and money to make a "new" class of an existing class... they could have reworked chase WITHOUT CHANGING chase, her name. her animal friends or her story... this is no different than deleting chase, if they gonna change the name and everything but keep the skills XD FOR ME LYNN LOOKS LIKE A COPY PASTA OF LARA at this point

i would rather them to give us SIA in pc maple than a BT rework (since sia comes from PB world, and its more interesting to the lore)

I hate it. You can't even fly with hawk mode. Bear mode has no hammer. Looks lame 0/10. No ears, no tail. All the fun parts of the class probably just gone. Hawk mode was many players reason for even enjoying it. The only hope is they make the support OP or on par with Bishop so people actually play her. Because the forms just look like lame animal themed attacks now.

don’t understand the negative comments, they are taking the time to completely remaster a dead class that no one mains lol it’s common sense to remake a class that no one mains, who cares if it looks like lara? lara was a huge success and a beautifully made class that instantly became a huge fan favorite….can’t wait to see those animations on animal mode:)
Think about it as an icecream shop with 50 flavors, you got everyone faves in chocolate, vanilla and the fruits but that's just like 15-20 flavors, you still got more, then you start to get into weirder stuff add cookies, cake, alcohol but even after that you still have room for a handful of flavors, now you make really weird shit, from that you gain a few customers that only come to eat those weird flavors but after a while you notice that rarely anyone picks those so you decide to remove them and add another chocolate/vanilla mix, how you think everyone that loved the weird flavors is going to feel?

problem is that they could just remaster chase's skills, without the need to remove her completely and replace her with lynn, they could have done what they did with demon slayer and demon avanger... without forcing players to switch their chase to lynn.. making copy past of a unique character like lara, gonna back fire to nexon. chase was unique, her story was great and the animals looked awesome, but with the new look, its just aweful and it comes from me a player who luvs maplestroy very much. it wont become fan favorite

@@SoulHydron My issue with her isn't how strong she is but how they changed her aesthetic from a magical girl with some wild skills like the hammer or drill mixed with dragons to a k-pop singer with rather generic heart themed skills

Good, bt is designed very poorly. I can't think of a class I enjoyed less getting to 210 for link skills.
Do maplers just hate when something is new? Everyone hated new sound effects even tho imo some of the new ones are leagues better than the old. Now everyone is hating on lynn for being similar to lara even tho imo it looks leagues better than old beast tamer. Im might actually give the class a shot now
i'll give it a shot but being a BT main it's one thing to change a class like a revamp and it's another to completely rework them, alot of fellow BTs would prefer a 2nd beast tamer class rather than reworking what we have.

If your logic is "Similar color scheme = Same thing" when the short preview already showed that the skills are entirely different, you might want to get checked for autism.
