*Works great **MyBest.Tools** . Little lacking in power. You just have to cut a little slower. Compare to Rockwell pretty similar experience but cheaper price tag for this one. Love the lightest. Cuts accurately too.*

I am really impressed with Hitachi ie Hikoki ,I was looking around for a corded 7 1/4 and looked at
everything and ended up getting a Hikoki 7cmfa ,it has a cast aluminum base with parrallel and fine calibration adjustment. It is light , well balanced and well made . I am a carpenter and builder

I do callous where I can have to cut osb at any time of night and in the dead silence at 3.30am on a Tuesday morning the silent mode will definitely help. Its 90% of the reason I've just ordered this saw

Here , in the UK , I had this saw for two years and never look back to my old Makita cordless saw. Light , compact , long battery life , the only thing is missing is a rafter hook. I highly recommend this saw (use thin blades that suitable for the cordless saws). Silent mode is very good for cutting meta , with appropriate blade.

started years and years ago with the Dewalt magnesium DC390B... the only good thing i can say is the rigid body... but no power and no run time...
then FlexVolt 60V... you tell me how much it costs for the battery and how heavy it is with the battery...
Ridgid Gen5 brushless was my next... just like Ryobi, they use off the shelf components to assemble it... you can tell from how bulky and how heavy they all are...
Hitachi is a HUGE company. it pioneers in many areas... like ac brushless, triple hammer, dust and waterproof, compact light weight high surge INEXPENSIVE 3AH battery, low cutting and compact sliding miter saws etc and etc...
on this one, they have lowered the axle and gear housing/ratio to achieve the uncompromising cut depth with only a 6-1/2" blade... meaning their motor is a high torque brushless motor with dynamic load sensing to save power (silent mode)

Can you tell me if the Metabo/Hikoki 6.5" Circular saws are compatible with "guide Rails". The only ones Metabo (or Hikoki here in the UK) sell seem compatible with the plunge saws only. The larger 7-1/4" seems to have rail guides but again not sure!

I bought a 9pc Hitachi kit about 7 years ago. The drills are so so at best but the circular saw has been pretty darn good since day one. I have since replaced the batts and the drills but that saw still has a lot of life left in it.

    • @WorkshopAddict

what would you recommend for a DIYer that want to install a vinyl lattice fence. I have researched on what is best to cut vinyl and I keep getting a circular saw. I never used one but seems easy, dangerous but easy. lol. But there are lots of manufacturer's and there is either 5 1/4; 61/4 or higher, not sure what the difference is. . I just need suggestions, I don't want to spend a lot of money as I probably use this only a few times. please help

    • @WorkshopAddict

Miter Saw might be a bit easier for you to use if you have never used a circular saw. If you are going to get a circular saw, get a 7-1/4" and buy a cheap corded model.

Very cool!! #WorkshopAddict Really like how deep it cuts b.c that's the only draw back usually with the 6 1/2 over the 7 1/4 just a tiny bit more depth & unfortunately depth of cut can really matter depending on what you are working with so i think that is a great feature! I own the Milwaukee fuel
6 1/2 circular saw and it is just amazing to work with & Very light weight compared to the bigger saws, & has all the power the 7 1/4 has b.c the fuel models use the same size brushless motor just different blade size. I find myself out of luck sometimes tho b.c the fuel 6 1/2 circular saw can only cut up to 2in depth where the 7 1/4 can go deeper for those cuts you need that extra depth. Also i really like the silent ramp up mode as well. I know Makita integrates that feature a lot into their tools because it gives the tool a longer motor life in the long run, so it's not pushing as hard as it can all the time only when needed which is pretty cool. Great Upload guys really Good info and Demonstration!! Looking forward to the next upload!😎🤘🛠 #workshopaddict

great review!! silent mode is kinda gimmicky to me but hey I bet someone will use it. I will probably stick to my brushed hitachi 6 1/2” blade left 18v saw, not really a huge fan of the blade being on the right but that’s just my personal preference.
