As an ENTP I definitely would say I’m hyper aware of myself and my actions. This comes from me constantly questioning why I do things and self examining myself. I feel like their is 2 of me sometimes. The person who is living my life and doing the day to day task and then there is the me who is watching myself, planning ahead and critiquing myself

I agree. As an ENTP who has also highly developed Fe.
I am in constant assessment before and after taking an action.
      My Ti-Fe was like:
      "Does this act hurt emotionally?"
"Is it necessary to commit it?"
"What are the most optimal way to reduce individual casualties?"
"Should I be more selfish this time?"
"Does being selfless and altruistic benefit me this time?"
"What are the most effective reasonings for this emotional turmoil?"
"Should I lie or tell the truth? Which one will likely benefit everyone or the majority at least?"
      Etc.

This, I often feel unattached to my body and it's mind so the ME it's actually a third part... If that makes sense somehow. I'm conscious to a point that even though alchool makes an effect on my body, i'm still aware of surroundings and my own actions, hence drinking makes me a little more goofy at best

Thing is ENTPs have to learn the hard way to neeeeeever take facts for granted.
Of course that puts them in stupid mindsets and situations over the years that they HAVE TO learn how to navigate through and out of- but here's the thing, it's not just coming FROM them, it's coming from a flux of constant empathization concerning other people's ideas! (Ne+Fe)
ENTPs are most often NOT assholes at core (I saw comments about that below)-- they are usually insanely empathetic with the Extraverted Feeling combined with Extraverted Intuition---
It's impossible for them to not get sucked into your point of view and try to see through your eyes. Imagine that shit with EVERY SINGLE PERSON YOU MEET. You'd go crazy!
Because of this, ENTPs get their heads flooded with perspectives that contradict each other (because, well, people see things very differently). So many ENTP's learn to put up a wall. They start questioning everything people say and do and inevitably have to jump between constantly criticizing everything they pick up on (whether or not they've picked up the right information) OR they stop caring whatsoever about correctness because it's too much and too constant. This is also why they may even purposely defy reason, ethics and perspective and just start acting out things wrongly.
In the mind of an ENTP- YOUR voice is much, much, MUCH louder than their own and at the end of the day their sensitivity (both mental and emotional) can make it so confusing to know who they are themselves. (This is something they may try to compensate for by CONSTANTLY thinking and talking about themselves.)
Nothing and everything is black and white in the mind of an ENTP, and honestly- an ENTP who don't learn to master EVERYTHING, may never learn to understand anything at all, get depressed to the core and go downhill into a literally never ending spiral. (Because the world and the people in it won't stop existing just because the ENTPs need a break, it will just keep going.)

@@this_mfr "In my experience, ENTPs use their consciousness for self-serving purposes, which in and of itself proves they aren't as conscious as they'd like to think." How does being selfish mean your less conscious, literally makes zero sense. If you could explain how these are correlated, i would be interested to know how.
"They're conscious only to the point they can have pseudo-intellectual conversations that almost never go anywhere, solve anything, or create anything" If an ENTP is arguing something they have often thought about the points they're making before. The reason they're debating with you is too see what your response will be and whether or not they have made any mistakes in their reasoning process. There have been ENTPs in history that have achieved and created great things so to claim their thinking never solves anything or creates anything is simply false. You have no idea whats going on in another persons head. I think what you mean is the conversation doesn't go anywhere for YOU, since your own perspective is all you have to go on. Ironically very self focused. Selfish you could say. Doesn't that mean by your own logic your less conscious?
"Oh cool, I argued with that guy for 45 minutes with a bunch of nonsensical points" If the points are nonsensical dispute them, pick them apart, if your not learning by debating someone for 45 minutes then i think thats on you. If this was all one conversation then all these points are related in some way, if you have trouble piecing them together to create a overall meaning out of these points thats also down to you
"They are cool, casual friends but thats about it. They are nightmares in relationships because all they want to do is talk and debate without purpose" Sounds like you've had experience with immature ENTP's and are painting all with the same brush, not a good look

@@this_mfr "This entire comment is classic ENTP and perfectly describes every word I said in my comment. Instead of providing legit counter arguments, you're just making empty claims or statements." Firstly im not an ENTP, im an INTJ, so immediately that puts into question whether or not you actually know what your talking about. You just assumed i was an ENTP because in your mind i "defended" them. Also i dont know what happened between you and ENTP's or people you thought to be ENTP's but leave that out of here, your bias clouds your judgement. Would you seriously suggest that Richard Feynman and Leonardo Da'Vinci both had mental disorders related to empathy, both showed tremendus empathy throughout their lifetimes, also ENTPs third function is Fe, which includes the ability to empathise with other people. They actually find it easier to empathise with others than themselves. You could actually make a better argument for lack of empathy against INTJ's as we are often perceived as robotic and unempathetic and have Fe blind. You seem to lack the ability to empathise with these individuals or try to understand what motivates them, ironic since thats what you seem to accuse others of, would you consider autistic people sociopathic as they struggle to understand others emotional cues and emotions or less conscious as they are more unaware of others "needs", by your own logic this must be the case since you defined that as consciousness. Yet often they are more able perform complex abstract reasoning and mathematics, or recognise complex patterns needed in code breaking. Why is this not a factor of consciousness. Isaac Newton was a selfish, arrogant loner who never was able to understand or cooperate with other people nearly as well as his peers so by your logic he was less conscious and yet he was one of the most important men in the history of physics. By your own definition, unless you were more of an arsehole than newton (which despite your attitude i doubt) you would then be more conscious then Isaac Newton.....Good luck making that argument.
Now i need to further break down your strange views about consciousness, "The more conscious you are, the more you are aware of other's needs and the more you'd empathize with them" while this may be true sometimes this is not even remotely a absolute true statement, you can be totally aware of another persons needs, desires, emotions and just not care. Does this make you less conscious? I see no reason to think that, you still have the same amount of awareness of another persons mind you simply have a different emotional reaction to it. Consciousness is defined as "the state of being aware of and responsive to one's surroundings." or "a person's awareness or perception of something." none of these contain any information about how one must act to ones surroundings or stimulus in order to be conscious nor do they contain anything about empathy. This is simply something you value so you have tacked it on artificially. When a scientist of tries to define consciousness at no point would they put empathy as some essential criteria. Just because empathy is important that doesn't mean it has anything to do with consciousness.

The more earnestly a person scrutinizes the discrepancies in this dichotomy, the greater the consciousness.

They see too many possibilities and they can't organize them well, to see what's the real issue here or what does it really mean what they've seen. And they often come up with stories where there isn't much data or facts. They just say what they personally think not what's right or they trust their gut feel too much.

if you speak about Ne alone that is true , but since we speak about full particular type ( ENTP ) and the fact that Ti is shield that filter all these patterns and ideas , make these 2 together super great for sience or philosophy and deep understanding, but the problem that without knowledge , or bad environment, it's just waste , like useless beautiful robot ( in movies term )
And about which programs should be picked under this endless waves of ideas and Ti filtering, this process, i believe ENTP's very affective under teamwork circumstances , this will allow Si shows up without force , but also the environment must be healthy and open for update and changes, in better words , continuous growth ..
Take space projects for example like NASA , how much Ne Ti can offer to such big field , how much can Ne-Ti become super affective in environment like this..
Like fish in sea , ofc that was only one example , there is many others and more simple , but you get the idea..
Anyways i didn't feel the need to speak about the consciousness for ENTP's because it's deep topic that may have no ending and very relatable to individuals experiences and environment.
    You two get ENTP friend.

You said the only way to bring out intuition is by thinking or sense of it and i will add one more by feeling of it ...
If the owner have high intuition and dominated by it , that mean , it is not the thinking or sensing nor feeling who bring the intuition out from the unconsciousness , you can try hard to bring something from the unconsciousness but this not how it work, if you think or feel of something , that called consciousness not unconsciousness , the intuition always there with none stop , it have beam projection , that fall on feeling - thinking - sensing mirrors depend what mirror you prefers or what the best mirror that describe you ....
i can talk about this a lot but that could be another topic , you need to understand that no one know from where the origin of intuition came from , i have highly doubt that the tool of science can understand such thing , simply because it's not something physically material , so the only option to undersrand how it's work only by those who have interest in human self or the psychology..

Consciousness has many dimensions. As babies you may not be conscious about your social self, but the instinctual need to survive and use feedback mechanisms is actually a very complex process in itself. When you grow older, you become aware of your other selves, the one that has to rationalize between self gratification and your reality. Basically, the point is there are many levels of consciousness. People who get high off drugs or meditate to like esoteric levels, develop their own consciousness. So, what I'm trying to say is that there are many types of conscience and they may or may not triangulate because you only need what you require at a momentary impulse.

ENTPs are 100% more conscious than most. We're constantly seeing multiple possibilities and can make inferences about how our brain works from what we see in human nature. This gives us self awareness and for those of us that pursue it, very high levels of awareness about the workings of the world and in turn ourselves. Te types fundamentally wont be able to grasp what happens as you keep going deeper into this. The actual nature of what reality is eventually has to come into question and you start to understand concepts like the brains spotlight and your ability to manipulate it. This is where you get into Buddhism and enlightenment, its being able to control and reinterpret the spotlight. In this space you learn about the nature of attachments.
As an ENTP who frequently engages in Ne-Fe, your intuition is able to understand others on a very deep level and anticipate the possible range of behaviors. You dont get surprised, you dont get swindled. Cognitive dissonance, projection, and desperation / following behaviors become very cleanly spelled out. You go into any social situation knowing how it can unfold and can navigate this space very competently.
You say its about gathering more experiences which is true, but you'd be surprised how deep you can go just within your own mind to understand the nature of reality. We see the cause and effect patterns of our own mind with a lot of clarity. But you definitely do need to go outside of yourself and experience things as well.

    The
missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it
knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't,
or where it isn’t from where it is, it obtains a difference or
deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate
corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is
to a position where it isn't and arriving at a position that it
wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is is now the
position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was
is now the position that it isn't. In the event that the position
that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has
acquired a variation. The variation being the difference between
where the missile is and where it wasn't. If variation is considered
to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by the GEA.
However, the missile must also know where it was. The missile
guidance computer scenario works as follows: Because a variation has
modified some of the information that the missile has obtained, it is
not sure just where it is. However, it is sure where it isn't, within
reason, and it knows where it was. It now subtracts where it should
be from where it wasn't, or vice-versa. And by differentiating this
from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be and where it was, it
is able to obtain the deviation and its variation, which is called
    error.
shitpost aside good job guys i think i'll see your name or the name of one of your students in some university paper

I like that; that's a great example; I relate to it anyway.
It reminds me of the linear equation vs the quadratic. The quadratic equation was always my favorite. The variation in horizontal position vs vertical change. The start and end location will connect through distance and time, but how we get there-the curves, represents the space in-between the points-The variation. We have constants and variables.
Tomorrow we are what today we weren't. For yesterday we were what tomorrow we aren't.

My friends are amazed by how i separate between my mind and my emotions , i say things like " ok my emotions are starting to hate this dude .. but i don't think he deserves that so i am going to resist ".

@@elizabethbarrera1077 The conscious mind is what has awareness. The more a conscious mind is aware of itself, the more consciousness it is said to have but the less it can be aware of its surroundings. This is because a file can never be larger than a hard drive.

It's not doing anything, its just watching. Its just there. Its more common than the grass and air..." Then I shrugged and thought to myself, "Well everyone must know of that!! I can just tap into that anytime I want to!!" and I went back to playing. It's harder to tap into God as adult. Much to my dismay, but it is possible. No wonder people think he doesn't exist. I think of the tidal waves as cycles of hubris & nemesis, and I think someone is conscious when he/she understands these cycles.
Now I also think that IQ and Age both heavily affect consciousness via the following ways:
    > The higher the IQ is, the fewer cycles someone needs to understand himself
    > The higher the Age, the more cycles someone experiences so the chances of understanding himself increase
    Thank you beforehand

Conscious sounds misleading. Awareness and open-mindedness sounds more accurate. Nothing is sacred to an ENTP, everything is tentative and must be scrutinized before being deemed true.
That's why we're always self-doubting and questioning ourselves, it's that drive to "gather more connections" as you put it.
The achilles heel to that is organizing the piles of information, thus memory, thus routine (Si).

It seems to me that ADHD might be either a very top heavy Ne or a Se depending on the typ of ADHD. Always looking for intellectual or sensory stimulus. What we used to cal ADD might be linked to top heavy NE and Hyperactive ADHD might be more Se. And Autism might be linked to top heavy Si or Ni. Overly rigid in their processing of patterns and information. Might there be a link?

It's like saying that understanding quantum entanglement allows you to know actions and the mind from said twin A, by knowing actions/mind of twin B. Unless you are talking about siamese twins, then they are entangled in fact, but in an anatomic way and diferent from the physics perspective.....
Yeah, yeah, there is a lot of studies with MZ/DZ twins that links a lot of predictions to genetics, which is really amazing! But you can go as far as data allows to...

What is the most conscious type? Every type that isn't asleep comatose, or knocked unconscious? 😂 No, but seriously, it's difficult to provide meaningful feedback or a logically consistent answer with repeatable results (ahem, "science") when the question itself is not well-defined. When I hear "conscious," it could mean "awake" (as in, "patient is conscious with stabilized heartrate"), or be a common misnomer for "self-conscious" or even "conscientious" (which could both be construed as Fe demons?), or it could refer to a "higher state of consciousness" (à la "hella woke" lol or enlightened ... the latter of which doesn't really point to a specific function, but perhaps cognitive integration and developing one's shadow and subconscious after becoming more self-aware... arguably).
Neither one of you seems to be able to settle on a definition. You seem to bounce back and forth between "self-aware," "relativity," "intelligent," and what you call "triangulation" but is perhaps more accurately described as "comparative perspective analysis," or "conceptualization of self relative to multitudinous contexts," wordiness notwithstanding. Those are all different things.
Anyway, certain cognitive functions may indicate a _capacity_ for such development, or likelihood of it being "easier" for certain people to utilize certain skills, but never as an assumed actualization of development. Someone who has more muscle fibers may not necessarily have more powerful, or even bigger, muscles just because they have that _potential._ Realization of potential varies with the individual. Countless other factors, including "nuture" influences of "nature," and, like you said, life experience, also influence the end result. Painting any type with too broad a brush will naturally introduce falliability into your claims. I did glean what I think was the point of your video; it just wasn't super well-articulated.

I know you guys want to get rid of the "special unicorn" factor in type theory, but it's simply untrue that there isn't correlation between type and intelligence, skill, etc. Even if it wasn't causally related to type, there would still be some clustering based on group correlation alone (if you take any groups regardless of factors, there will be a measurable difference between each)
Not that you likely have a big data set, but It just seems like you're cushioning reality (yeah, some types are GENERALLY smarter than others...). It's very akin to the whole "The Bell Curve" distortion done on the left, who propagate the lie that it was racist unscientific nonsense, when in fact, yes, Black people do TEND to have lower mean IQ. This mean's practically nothing of course, because there are a host of multivariate factors and of course coincidence that could account for this. But rather than make this argument, the left opts to deny that it's a thing and disparage the author.
Also there has already been studies evaluating prevalence of "giftedness" with MBTI. reddshoes overviews this and sources here: www.reddit.com/r/mbti/comments/6qtmms/what_is_the_relationship_between_mbti_and_iq/ (Surprise INTP's and INTJs consistently top)

So if we look at the same study's that means Asian men are naturally smarter then whites? We don't, Because it's not true much like the white/black argument. aAd the book you mentioned is a used as kindling in academic circles. It's not a left right issue, it's a racist vs non racist issue.

@@michaelmosolino The Bell Curve is not the least bit racist...Read the damn book. It is entirely a political rendering. The conclusion was never that 'race A is naturally smarter'. Though it's a perfectly fair hypothesis.
Asians have higher IQ than whites on average, as well as higher socioeconomic status and higher education scores. Why? Maybe they are on average smarter due to superior genetics...this is an obvious hypothesis. Maybe it's due to resource allocation and environmental conditions. It's probably a bit of both. Who gives a shit...just don't hide the data. Any two groups regardless of variance are going to have differences among those groups (People with green eyes vs People with Blue Eyes --- One group on average will be smarter)...let other people come to their conclusions about what that data indicates/means.
