When I am stuck with boring people and conversation I automatically seem to throw a "verbal bamb" into the room; (I might not even believe in what I am throwing out as a challenge). The result is usually quite exhilarating but only for a short time; then I get away as fast as possible because their arguing is quite boring. I am known to be a "trouble-maker; sad, I just want everybody to start using their brains, I don't get why that is so bad.

As an entp, I'm insanely attracted to chaotic dreamers, fascinated with the world. I love the spark in their eyes when they tell me about things theyre passionate about. I love when they look at the stars and tell me how pretty they are, even if they don't know any constellations. I love artists, I love poets, I love people who are unapologetically themselves. Routine bores me and I find myself being attracted to people who have something weird, interesting, uncommon to offer. It's just so magical to find a person like that

    • @anakerendoofenshmertz9985
      @anakerendoofenshmertz9985 Год назад +8

I'm similar, though I'm more attracted to people who are passionate about things. They don't have to be chaotic, though I just like being a witness to people following their goals and trying their best. I also like it when people are bold in a good way. Not to the point of being overly forceful though. It's just that I tend to dress quite boldly and to be myself, so I want to be with someone who can boldly be themselves. I don't like it when people pretend to like something I like or lie about who they are. Recently I got close to someone like that, but I saw the red flags really quickly and stopped talking to them. When we started talking, it seemed like we had a lot in common, but sometimes I wonder if that was the case. Good thing I stopped talking to them.

For some reason I completely overlooked the fact that the chemical substances needed were written right underneath it. I thought of doutzen ways the graphs could hint to which substance, after i submitted the exam everyone told me that the answer to that question was already given. Never felt so stupid.

Missing curcial detail of information step 2 coming up with so many possibilities to solve the question and so many different interpretations I get confused and just settle on the most logical one according to my logic (Ti) step 3. Get the answer completely WRONG because I didn’t address detail. All of this I noticed especially in BIOLOGY btw. Doing highschool bio rn, struggling 😊

But I've recently really gotten into this theory that this channel INFP&INTJ coffee are researching about subconscious body movements in mbti types. The way your eyes focus on one area when lost in thought and alternate between 2 points horizontally is very typical of an Ni user. You can look into this more if you're interested they have a vid on it and I've seen it in many people who match Ni behaviour. What type do you think you are?

He’s stated before that he may be an INTP. Id side with him being an NTP than an NTJ. I think some of the things that may make him seem like a J are the fact that he is to the point and clear cut with the things he says, he presents his information orderly and concisely. The question then comes as to why he does things this way. We know that he’s an advocate for the 48 laws of power and he has stated that he uses the laws a lot. Adapting new ideas into your lifestyle and implementing them into it will without a doubt make you a more balanced individual. Many of the valuable things we learn in life are often representations of stereotypical concepts of different function stacks. An example would be an INFP hearing the phrase “live in the moment”, which is stereotypically an Se attribute, and as a result, internalizing it, understanding it and implementing it to their daily life. Another example would be the book itself, which has many lessons that relate to the way different types may view things. Some of the laws involve using empathy as a way to navigate which stereotypically relates to Fe, considering the others needs, and some of the laws involve the idea of totally destroying your enemy which can stereotypically relate to Se or Te concepts of winning.
That said I think he’s definitely an NTP. I get the sense that his reasoning for doing these videos has less to do with gaining something or achieving a goal than it has to do with him just being genuinely interested in talking about it. He also has an aptitude for noticing specific variables and clarifying their importance to the system he wishes to explain thoroughly. I notice he seems to have more of a preference for explaining things accurately but I notice that he is very careful not to over explain things the way most Ti users would. And given his knowledge of the 48 laws it probably comes from the law to “always say less than necessary”.

I honestly get the sense that you read a comment I posted on someone's channel about when I used to lay beatings down on the President of my Universities Chess Club back in day in college.
This guy was an epic chess player. He would play games against 5 or 6 people at a time at the Universities lounge. Just walking up and down the tables moving pieces and winning every game.
Quiet, calculating, and silently smug bastard, I liked him 😆. I decided we should be frenemies.
I watched his games against others and noticed he would rely and lean on certain pieces to maneuver and combo with.
I was more or less equally good or bad with all pieces no matter what stage I was in as a game progressed.
He noticed me cracking jokes and talking shit more or less one day with some friends about him whooping all those people up at once by using the same old routine.
He challenged me to a game and I set out on destroying all his favorite pieces. Sacrificing my more valuable pieces to kamikaze his piece preference.
He was playing to check me, I was playing to fuck with him. At the final stage of the game both of our armies were in shambles and scattered all over the board. Chaos to him, but just another day for me.
When I checked him he was stunned and all the little chess junkies around the table were either laughing in praise or saying good game.
He never beat me in a game, ever. I am sure he hated me as a person first (I used to run my mouth a lot), but I know he respected me in the end.
Sometimes he would scold me in disgust for losing to people he never lost to (like it was a blight on him that the guy he lost to all the time lost to an inferior being or something) and would earnestly try to council me on strategy. But usually those people were newer at chess and would try things I had never seen before (usually out of incompetence) and I wasn't really concerned with beating them. Just curious to see what they would do next and would play along just to see what they were trying to do, sometimes to a point where I couldn't recover. It was more fun in a way, being a tourist in strange new ways of thinking.
But overall I do enjoy stable friends. To me people are like gunpowder and I am a alchemist from olden times. The more stable the gunpowder recipe the less of a chance I blow my fingers off while trying new things and experimenting with them.

As an ENTP I can relate wholeheartedly with how much I hate answering “what’s your favorite _______?” questions. Usually I prefer several things if any given category for different reasons. I also recognize that I probably rarely know of the “best” of any particular thing (however theoretical the existence of such is).
While sometimes there are objective answers to “what’s the best ______?” type questions, I typically don’t like to try to answer these, or give much weight to answers to these from others because the answer is invariable clouded by confirmation bias and how one’s perspective is shaped by their personal experience and knowledge.
In the best cases (😉), some experts in a field can get as close as humanly possible to objectively answering what the “best” is (best process, best material for some purpose, best equation, etc.), but even then, that is merely the best at that very moment in time, and subject to change with further advances in that given field or subject, so what’s the point in qualifying it to begin with?
    But I digress... frequently 🤣

As a fellow female ENTP, I strongly agree on the main conflict. My infj Friend often asks me what's my favorite food, drink or anything. I get so frustrated with that answer because to me, there is no such thing as best. Even if you've eaten or experienced a very good thing, comparing to other experiences it would still not be the best or favorite thing. It's just not it. And another thing that I find it challenging for me, is that it's so hard for me to love a thing entirely without realizing any mistake or a fault? Like I've just read the book better than the movies. Everyone, like every human being that has read it, loves that book. I actually didn't like it as much. Because although the main male character is also ENTP and most of the things he made is somewhat reasonable. I didn't like it as such. Or maybe I thought that the ending wasn't enough for me. I don't know! But it's hard to love something blindly without figuring out the cons.

Interesting attraction theory. It's true that many of us respect and admire those who are able to do what we cannot. I'm of the opinion that the best romantic connections are made between two types who share the same dominant function with different attitudes (e.g. Ni + Ne). In this case, the perceiving/decision-making function is the same coin with two sides, leading to an easier, automatic understanding of the other's language. Yet, it's different enough where it allows each person to GROW in the relationship, and, not necessarily balance, but COMPLEMENT each other's strengths.
As an INFJ, I've noticed that I don't value or admire those who have high Se. Now, it may be because I'm a rather athletically gifted INFJ and have practiced sports since I was a child and am in an Se field of work. Moreover, the lead Se's I've met tend to focus on the here and now without delving into the how or why, which is something my Ni hungers for; in essence, I find their thought process, without trying to be condescending, rather dull and superficial. To be fair, I've never dated an Se lead, so I can't comment on how different it is. However, I have noticed that I value and envy those who have strong Si.
I am a male INFJ dating a female ENTP. I was surprised to discover that she remembers things very well. I attribute this to two things: 1) she is a female, and neurologically speaking, women do tend to have better memory as their brains are designed to connect everything to each other with the attachment of certain emotions, which are used for bookmarking strong experiences (and therefore strong memories). 2) She aspires to be good at her Si and she's matured to the point that she is able to use it exceptionally well. Whenever she's in debate mode (70% of the time), she will use her personal experiences and anecdotes of others to corroborate her claims. This bothers me at times because they're not Te objective facts, but she is using her Si to back up her Ti in her arguments. That's not to say she doesn't use objective facts at all; she does. But she does falter in her objectivity at times when she starts using Si and/or Fe and prioritizing it over Te for the sake of satisfying her Ti.
Your summary of ENTPs constantly having a way out is spot on. I am always taken aback when my gf ends up in an undesirable situation but ends up coming up with a couple solutions almost immediately. With that being said, her flexibility does come at the price of a lack of commitment and making decisions at the last minute. It's saved us in certain circumstances but has harmed us in others.

hi! just an intp's perspective on entps
from my experiences with them they are extremely good at "matching energy" with people. and by that i mean that entps probably have different personalities depending on which friend they are talking too, sometimes even having so many varying identities that they themselves don't know who they really are and tend to question their true personality quite often. they have a hard time understanding their own feelings and where they belong in the world, and ironically most of the time understand others emotions and feelings much more than they understand their own. most entps that i have met are very charismatic and zone off easily as well as not being very upfront about how they feel. as you said in the video, they seem to undermine the importance of their opinion/feelings with most matters. as an intp, entps are actually quite hard to understand unlike almost every type. by hanging around most types, i can get a jest of who they are as a person after a few hours/days of meeting them, but entps are very different since i dont see them being their true selves unless you get extremely close to them ( which i have not managed to do yet ) and thats a little infuriating to me because i dont like filters but at the same time it is intriguing (??). my thoughts that ive explained here are just what i have managed to gather from my experiences with them, so im not sure if i am entirely accurate or not, but i hope that ive been at least a little bit helpful. ( ironically, entp is one of my favorite types as an intp because they are a little more challenging to comprehend and that gives me a little adrenaline rush )
to all entps reading this, i can see right through you 🥯👏
im also sorry if my analysis was a little hard to follow i have a hard time explaining my thoughts most of the time

You said it; I am old now and have learned a few things, especially to be my own self, at least I learned to work at it. Got a bit better by the time I hit 70; An INTP friend helped me with that, my favourite type because I find them similar but more grounded and I can respect them. They are also never boring and seem to see right through me so I don't pull all the BS I do with others. That makes me respect them very much especially since I experience them as respecting the real me. Sadly, right now I don't have a single INTP in my life, and in this time we are living in, I have learned to "argue" with imaginary people in my head; it is just to exercise it; ENTP's are not true extraverts, they are ambiverts, so they can function o.k. with the current restrictions. I thank you for your comments, I think you explained it very well, with one caveat: you need to insert punctuations, that will make it easier for non NTPs to understand should they read it. I'm an ENTP and an active chess player or athlete, I agree on the positional players part because I'm into openings that gives me an advantage based on the position and it doesn't matter if I'm a pawn down or a piece down, there are times that I'm 2 piece down but won in the end(happens rarely). Appreciate you tackling this idea

And when stressed we act with irrattional Se demon, and will burn everything to the ground when crossed, even to spite ourselves. Comfortable with working out another solution to the new problem when the time comes... Typically not having the whole plan figured out.

@@NathanJGlass The ESTJ was the manager as you would tell; managing the time and deadlines mostly. The ENTP responsible to come up with many ideas and solutions when needed while the ESTJ working as a filter + funnel and selecting the most practical and relevant ones. Next was pushing the ENTP to finish the chosen one and not roam around in abstract ideas (This was the hard part 😂) but I guess ESTJs have the talent to do so.

I can relate so much to this, because one of my best friends (Estj) and I (Entp) literallly do every single academic thing together, right now I'm president of student's council and she is vice president, I just keep throwing ideas and I'm the one who does all the speeches and general persuading with authorities and such but she makes sure that we get things done, reminds me of everything, and keeps order in my big ass chaos 😂😂 In school work she always does all the practical stuff and I do the theory, I present all of the possibilities and she selects between them. I literally would get nothing done without her 😂🤦‍♀️ We've been together since pre-school, cause in my country you stay with the same class FOREVER (unless you move or smth) and I still feel that our emotional or personal connection is barely existent lol So yeah, pretty accurate 😂

I have another perspective on the chess analogy. I believe it is more the Ni users that are more positionally strategic, looking more towards long term plans and positioning pieces accordingly. If anything, I'd say ENTPs are probably best at exploiting their opponents weaknesses and waiting for holes to appear and then capitalizing on them, which generally goes hand in hand with how they operate. They are more dynamic players looking for action in different places.
INTJs I would say play for the long endgame, they are the positional players. They would arrange pieces and strategize specifically for a slight and small advantage with every move that will get them where they want to be in the endgame and will capitalize, slowly but surely.
ENTJs too will play for the endgame, but place more emphasis the middle game. They are somewhat like ENTPs who are also dynamic and prefer it over INTJs who favor slightly more static positions. They inflict more damage in the middle game, but like INTJs preferring a more favorable position in the endgame.
INTPs strength IS the endgame. They don't necessarily try to get a favorable position there, it's just that they are really good at small details and calculating the exact precision of moves to implement their vision better than anyone else. They can get to an equal endgame (whether that's simplifying the game or even being precise in opening exchanges) and then outplaying for being very deep and visionary in their precision.
ENTPs - capitalize on mistakes, dynamic, play mostly in the moment.
INTJs - strategic, small improvements, favorable endgame.
ENTJs - strategic, dynamic, good at complicated action filled positions.
INTPs - excel at endgame, can turn an even position into a winning one by matter of detail.

I was in therapy for work related anxiety (I am better now, I don't usually get anxious for stupid shit and I no longer need the therapy). TLDR my therapist drew a set of concentric circles around my name and that triggered me, so yes I don't like seeing myself as trapped because my brain freaks out. She did it to show my circle of influence on my family and friends or something, I asked her politely to remove the circles and draw lines varying on size to give the same outcome, this was much easier for me to sit through as I am sure the other ENTPs in this comment section can attest to it was difficult talking about my emotions.
