This is a beautiful game with a rich story. Thank you for spending the time and energy to play it and shareing the adventure with us. It's unfortunate that so many people are so easily disappointed in life that it's all they see. I love your gameplay style and enjoy your content. Keep up doing what you enjoy and have fun.❤
Loved it. Nice graphics, sounds, ambiance, music... The protagonists, the NPCs, and even the monsters were decently animated and had some depth in the narrative. The lore made me keep watching this video to the end. Initially, things start to look repetitive, but it gets better and more difficult. The game mechanics were interesting, to say the least. I would buy it.
It's giving vibes from all of the space games like Mass Effect, Dead Space, and all of them, that first vision of the creature reminds me of the Neverending Story Wolf with the teeth, and the female alien voice sounds like Shiva from FFXV. 😎👍
Dear God. Tom Swift and His Electrical Grandmother has made it to the game world, with conversations sounding like high school students discussing the prom: Jim: I wanted to fill the gym with balloons, but I don't know how to get them to float! Kate: Hmmm, that's a tough one! Wait a minute, Mr. Isotope in chem class said you could extract helium from natural gas! Jim: Oh-oh, I feel another one of your fantastic ideas coming on! Kate: Gosh Jim, don't be such a wet blanket! I captured some natural gas from the lunchroom in this thermos bottle, so if I just....there! We've got the helium! Jim: Brainiac scores again! But we'll need a lot of energy to pump it into the balloons! Kate: Gee, that part's easy! Just take a nuclear power plant and use a jerry-rigged high voltage shooter to shoot high voltages into it! But you have to aim at the spinning blades of the power plant, and then aim for the center! [I kid you not, this is what the game explains as a way to get "more power."] Jim: Aw, I'm bored with high school dialogue and ludicrous "science." Let's go try to communicate with a giant space triangle!
The complaining about "no little girl role model astronauts" in the beginning - no shit, first TWO MINUTES - took me right out. FFS...male heroes don't bitch about not having more girls around...
For me it was the facial expressions. Kate & co. generally have this bland, thousand-mile emotionless stare on their faces regardless of what the dialogue is trying to evoke. The voice acting is good (script aside), but those looks on their faces makes nothing they say feel genuine. It's like they said "Well, outside of cutscenes the player won't be seeing her face throughout the dialogue anyway, let's do some motion capture work on her lips and call it a day." Shame, really.
Like how Call Of Duty is a Halo clone. Lol Returnal and Scars Above aren't even remotely similar. Both games have the standard, Western hard-sci-fi art direction and mechanical design aesthetic, but so do hundreds of other games and movies and TV shows.
About halfway through, and I'd say it's really obvious this game's target group is women. I find it exhausting to watch, I'm afraid. However, the soundscape is really captivating so I think I'll just listen to it in the background. Cheers!

This is a Mass Effect/Dead Space chick fan fiction.
