the reason this game holds up so well is stylized realism. In another 10 years it will still look good. If you ever get the chance, play the "mother" vr mod.

Current version of this mod (3.3 - Sep, 23) is just placebo, you can check in the modDB comments. The textures clearly are still the originals, look how low-res everything is at 3:15. Only thing going on here is the Sikkmod shading.

Just finished modding this game last night. Nexusmods crew have done amazing work. 4k Upscaled FMV, 4k Upscaled textures. Complete graphics Overclock baked into game menu, High FPS (105+) audio fix, HQ TAA injector. The only thing left that's original is the audio which doesn't need anything done. Looks excellent.

This wide FOV is awful, it breaks the cinematic style, ruining the show. :/ It’s not a coincidence movies are not filmed with wide FOV.

The only problem here is the player's shadow projections. I don't know why that couldn't be seen, but that breaks emersion for me.

I played through it some time after it came out... never touched it again. I had to do 30-60 minute sessions because I couldn't bear the stress for longer. One of the best games I've ever played.

One of my favorite levels in the game was landing on LV 426 and entering the Space Jockey ship (I refuse to acknowledge the term Engineers or the movie that introduced them). Creative did an excellent job recreating the moon, its storms, terrain and the interior of the ship. There was even a slight nod to the spitual cousin to Alien, the movie Outland where were introduced to the Marshal Watts I thought that was cool. Btw, I'd scream like a little girl if I saw a dead body or something wearing a Con Am 27 tee shirt! LOL!

Ugh, I hated Romulus...same old shit. To me, this franchise is comprised by Alien ('79), Aliens ('86), Alien 3 (special edition--where the Xeno came out of bul instead of a dog-'93/'10) and lastly Alien: Isolation ('14). That's it, the end...No More! There are few graphic novels I'd accept too--a little too numerous to mention here. Everything else in the Alien franchise sucks and is a waste of time imo.

Interesting game and as others say it has some good graphics. It is a nice open world type of game to explore, pick up various things, but watched a few minutes of the game and don't quite understand the END GOAL of this game. But looks like a nice relaxing type of game. Thanks for the video. Take care.

This isn't a mod and it isn't ray tracing. No one else here actually looked into modding this game like i have. They don't have mods like this, it just slightly adjusts some settings that you can't normally get to, but it doesn't help much. It's NOT ray tracing
