This interview must be at least 7 months old. Bill Browder is talking about Speaker Johnson not allowing "Zelensky to address Congress this week". Zelensky last visited Washington DC in September 2023!!!! This is even before Slovak President Robert Fico was elected and was just a candidate.
The only thing that has changed is Washington is now looking to use Zelenskyy as a scapegoat for their destruction of Ukraine. He may never make it to his property in Florida. Washington doesn't like loose ends.

As a Dane, I fully support Browders mission. But I also see things a little different with respect to who is responsible here in the West. I is probably no conincidende that Putins friends are all based in the New York, London and Geneva. Obviously the banking capitals of the West are not just passive partners in this. Browder himself has made a fortune in Russia. So where is the line? Bankers in the West are constantly lobbying for rules that permits all kinds of schemes to avoid paying tax. It is engrained in the City of London. And now that he mentions drug lords. The reason why South America is plaqued by drug related crime is because we in Europe and North America buy so much cocaine and meanwhile we maintain that cocaine is illegal. This is what create the illegral drug world. The same argument goes in relation to the banking sector in London, New York and Geneva we are creating the playing field.

I attended about 4 minutes of this man's description of post Yeltsin's "democratic" Russia, and I had enough. Yeltsin's Russia was hardly democratic, because it was under the thumb of the world's greatest autocracy, the imperial superpower, the USA. Our country, you may recall, was the exporter of wars on almost every continent, itself engaged in Korea, Vietnam, Cuba, Panama, Greneda, Iraq, Afghanistan, and sponsor of misery in Iran, Guatemala, Chile, and Indonesia, :Yugoslavia, and others too numerous to list. Mr Browder goes on to give us his view of Vladimir Putin's rise to power in the internal politics of Russia, none of which is any of our business since it is internal and whether true or not is not any dirtier than the theft of wealth from the savings of Americans for the benefit of the US MIC and favored corporate sectors by the money printing and borrowing of the US Treasury and Federal Reserve Bank. After we have cleaned up our own house, we may have a look at Putin's Russia. I don't know if Browder credited Pres Putin with having restored Russia to economic solvency, to security, and to prestige in most of the world, while the USA along with its NATO vassals have declined in the world and whose peoples now suffer from inflation, shortages of goods, and poor leadership. Four minutes were enough for me of this man's smug biases.
Mr. Browder, have you considered seeking a negotiated release of Oligarch assets with proceeds being divided between each Oligarch and Ukraine in agreed proportions. This would circumvent the legal obstacles to "repurposing" these assets for Ukraine's benefit. Thank you
How about we talk more about Browder himself? What was his business? How did he opperated? Why did he chose to do business in the most unstable country at that time? I think that would be more interesting of a topic
Browder’s story is quite fascinating - read his book Red Notice. His reasons for trying to do business in Russia during the 90’s years is straight forward. His observations about Russia and Putin are spot on.

The truth was that Browder left his hapless accountant to take the fall for his tax evasion in Russia, while Browder was safe and sound in his London office. Magnitsky was not murdered, he died in pre-trial detention and the cause of death was acute pancreatitis. If Browder paid the back taxes and fines, Magnitsky would be alive today. @@stijnvandamme76 A correct analogy would be that you have a tyrannical supervisor in the supermarket making constant threats towards the workers. The workers goes along with it for some time because they are young and inexperienced. The supervisor carries on for years making threats of personal attacks and violating personal space.
The drug laws are causing the problem. The War on Drugs is lost, but now it's a big business, and makes the drugs more profitable.
