All the world's power structures are interrelated through old families, money and religious loyalties. Russia is no more or less "capitalistic" than any other country, not where the power structure is concerned. If you are in the right place at the right time you will either thrive or get offed. Those places and times change like the weather over decades and the characteristics of the national branding change just as fluidly in accordance to the hidden stratagems of elite power which have unlimited capabilities and the experience to adapt to those vagaries of social change. The scariest part is the acceleration of change.

I was en route to the airport in LA to go over and work for a year to get the show up and running. AT the FIRST CLASS LOUNGE, I was called and told the deal was off. RU money corrupts U.S. politics the way it influenced Brexit in the U.K. and wormed its way into the U.K. power structure. Here in America, russian influence may soon destroy Western Civilization, or most western governments. Billionaires think they can tame this criminal mafia, but when have any white shoe lawyers been an adequate defense against being dropped 30,000 feet from a private plane or donning Novichok underpants? They can kiss their hedge funds goodbye. And good luck with inflation, judging by russian federation’s precipitously rising prices, higher taxes, fewer domestic supplies, lower wages and increasing food costs. Billionaires + Organized crime= what could go wrong?
Greedy power players always think they can “tame” dictators, rich German guys thought they could manage Hitler in his day too. In 2015, powerful republicans thought they could “handle” Trump. Power corrupts absolutely.

As a Dane, I fully support Browders mission. But I also see things a little different with respect to who is responsible here in the West. I is probably no conincidende that Putins friends are all based in the New York, London and Geneva. Obviously the banking capitals of the West are not just passive partners in this. Browder himself has made a fortune in Russia. So where is the line? Bankers in the West are constantly lobbying for rules that permits all kinds of schemes to avoid paying tax. It is engrained in the City of London.
And now that he mentions drug lords. The reason why South America is plaqued by drug related crime is because we in Europe and North America buy so much cocaine and meanwhile we maintain that cocaine is illegal. This is what create the illegral drug world. The same argument goes in relation to the banking sector in London, New York and Geneva we are creating the playing field.

I attended about 4 minutes of this man's description of post Yeltsin's "democratic" Russia, and I had enough. Yeltsin's Russia was hardly democratic, because it was under the thumb of the world's greatest autocracy, the imperial superpower, the USA. Our country, you may recall, was the exporter of wars on almost every continent, itself engaged in Korea, Vietnam, Cuba, Panama, Greneda, Iraq, Afghanistan, and sponsor of misery in Iran, Guatemala, Chile, and Indonesia, :Yugoslavia, and others too numerous to list.
Mr Browder goes on to give us his view of Vladimir Putin's rise to power in the internal politics of Russia, none of which is any of our business since it is internal and whether true or not is not any dirtier than the theft of wealth from the savings of Americans for the benefit of the US MIC and favored corporate sectors by the money printing and borrowing of the US Treasury and Federal Reserve Bank. After we have cleaned up our own house, we may have a look at Putin's Russia.
I don't know if Browder credited Pres Putin with having restored Russia to economic solvency, to security, and to prestige in most of the world, while the USA along with its NATO vassals have declined in the world and whose peoples now suffer from inflation, shortages of goods, and poor leadership. Four minutes were enough for me of this man's smug biases.

I know of a family that moved to Russia from Canada, and they claim that people in Russia live much happier than in North america. However, talking about corruption, there is corruption in North america like just any other place.

People live differently in every country. I've lived in both US and Russia, and no US is not as corrupt. Bribes are not part of daily lives of ordinary citizens in the US. In Russia it is on all levels, top to bottom. That is a significant difference.

    President Putin said:
"For instance, we can bring up Mr. Browder, in this particular case. Business associates of Mr. Browder have earned over $1.5 billion in Russia and never paid any taxes neither in Russia or the United States and yet the money escaped the country. They were transferred to the United States."
    'Der Spiegel' articles:
On 22 November 2019, German news magazine Der Spiegel published an article in which it claimed Browder accusations concerning the "Magnitsky Case", do not withstand thorough examination.
The English version appeared on 26 November 2019.
After Browder filed a complaint against this article with chief editorship of Der Spiegel and the German Press Council, Der Spiegel published a further article, releasing its evidence and emphasising its stance on the matter.

I think I will trust Browder's version of events rather than Putin's!! Putin is know for 'producing' evidence! Der Spiegel's chief editor had nothing to lose going along with it, now did he?
