The goal for the last few months of 2022 is to work on reading my current physical tbr (hopefully halving my current number of unread books!)

I just finished Dark Places! Absolutely loved that you switch between each different characters perspective/tense in each chapter, but I honestly couldn't get hooked until maybe 70-80% of the way through. As for the last 150 or so pages... absolute page turner!
The prison healer!!! It’s so good! You have to read it immediately! I think about that trilogy every day

The summer of broken rules is such a cute read!! It was one of the first books I read when summer started for me ( I live in the US) and it was such a good book!!
Definitely read Ninth House! I wouldn’t be drawn away from the darker elements of it and it is a perfect fall read. It’s such a great story, good characters and great atmosphere, and it’s a page-turner!
Girl, serpent, thorn was super unique and engaging - such a refreshing fantasy, I loved it
I loved One Day! There is a movie with Anne Hathaway that is based on the book. It is basically a story of two friends who don't make the leap to romance for a very long time. If you want a lighter version of that, One Day reminds me a lot of Rosie Dunn by Cecelia Ahern. (Also the Rosie Dunn movie with Lily Collins is one of my favorite romance-y type movies ever)

Addie Larue is my favorite book EVER. Ive never felt as attached to a character as I did to Addie. I could cry just thinking about it lol. Ahhhh
the girl with the dragon tattoo is one of my favourite books ever! the 'political'/'journalist' stuff is very confusing to read about but the mystery aspect is actually so great ! i can't wait for you to read it and hear your thoughts on it
just a heads up, the starless sea is an adult fantasy. i read the night circus and loved it and really want to read the starless sea!
addie larue intimidated me for the longest time too and i felt no desire to pick it up - but i listened to the audiobook and it was incredible!
The plated prisoner series is so good!
Got back into reading this year, and Evelyn Hugo is by far n°1 ❤️❤️❤️

You deserve each other has been one of my favourite rom coms this year so when you feel like a book you’ll laugh at save it for that cause it’s so funny! And I also did enjoy the ex talk I’d say it’s a better hating game lol

I just finished the invisible life of Addie Larue today ... it took me a day and a half to read... I couldn’t put it down. Brilliant book.
i read the dirty air series- they were ok but not my favourite, but i read the dreamland billionaires a few months later and ended up enjoying them! also, i was intimidated by the length of the remainder of the books of TOG- but imo i enjoyed the length because i loved the characters and story sm! loved the video as always :)
Do the tandem read! I just finished it last week and I do not regret it!
Gild/glint/gleam - can get pretty darn spicy 😅 along similar lines to punk 57 just not as much in as much detail lol. I read first 4 in like two weeks tho so highly recommend, super fun 😊

forever interrupted was a five star read for me, this is a sign to pick it up!!
although i didn't like 'while you were reading'. the main character was immature and painful.

The dreamland billionaire series by Lauren Asher was amazing!! Definitely worth the read.
I also LOVE the plated prisoner series but it is dark romance so just be prepared😂💗

Right now i’m reading terms and conditions and i loveeeee the series. They are such fast reads i hope you try them in the future:)
I read The Prison Healer series in 3 days. It was honestly one of the best book series I’ve read this year. I think it will be right up your alley too.
I've read the song of Achilles quite recently and going into it with the level of hype of TikTok, the book is actually really good amazing writing and perfect use of italics, emphasis on perfect use of italics, which I know might sound weird but trust me. I think that it's better if you lower your expectations, since at some point in the middle it's not the best but the ending pays off.
The mortal instruments is my favorite. You dont understand. It's my bible, it's sacred. When I first read them, I could not put them down. Jace and Clary have THE most powerful love story I have ever read. And The ending of the serie is so painful, more painful then if the caracter had died there leaving the friends to grieve. I highly suggest you get the book Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy before finishing City of Heavenly Fire (unless you like pain and want to take the time to cry)
I didn’t like throttled but LOVED the fine print and terms and conditions!! I believe throttled was Lauren Asher’s first novel and her writing has really improved!

The disreputable history of Frankie is definitely YA. Like I read it when I was 13(?) and loved it but I think even now I’d still like it and just recognise that it’s written for a younger audience
Truly random question. Do they only sell paperback books in Australia? I don't see any hardcover I don't think. Obsessed with the idea of turning around the ones you've read!

Dare to Fall by Estelle Maskame is my favorite YA romance of all time. Its more of a deep, heavy romance than a rom com!

Currently in the middle of Apples never fall by Liane Moriarty, I don't like it as much as Big Little Lies or 9 perfect strangers but it's still amazing writing 😊
I read "The invisible life of Addie Larue" a few month back and must say it took me a little while to get into the story. Not sure why. I prob just expected a lot more due to the hype the book got on the Internet. But it was a good book. ❤

Punk 57 is very dark, probably not for you.
Same goes for the glow, gleam etc series- atleast the first one

I feel like Punk 57 is one of her least spicy book from her. But I read it a looong time ago .. so I might be wrong ... but the story line is good ... sometimes I just skip the spice part while reading the story ..

I found "Fine Print" to be very, very average and not worth the hype, but I'm currently in the middle of "Terms and Conditions" and I find that one to be much better although I'm still not sure it's up to the hype.
FYI Starless Sea is not YA. But good read just finished.

I DNFed girl serpent thorn. Not good and kinda confusing.
The Lineage of Grace is so cool. Its the stories of Ruth, Tamar, Mary (mother of Jesus), Rahab and Bathsheba but dramatised and some detials are added. There are also bible studies after each section to help change your focus back to scripture.
Just as a pre warning, the rest of the Divergent series is quite bad. Four is good though.
Mortal Instruments is okay. I read the entire series because my best friend at the time was obsessed with them.
Please read Pride and Prejudice and Jane Eyre. My favourite classics by far. Watch the Keira Knightly P&P and the 2006 BBC version of Jane Eyre. Those are my fav adaptations.
I also love Jekyll and Hyde and The Great Gatsby just because I did them at school and loved them. There is a TGG film with Leonardo DiCaprio but its bad.
I'm reading a lot of CS Lewis currently for Bible College, and I really loved the Screwtape Letters, the Great Divorce and A Grief Observed.

I didn’t like Fine Print but Terms and Conditions was better, in my opinion! Still only 3 stars for me, I don’t like her style of writing either 😄 also, Punk 57 is awful but I enjoyed the smut 😅😂
If tell me lies is anything like the recent series adaptation, then I don’t think you’ll like it! Lots of graphic intimacy scenes - probably more than punk 57

I feel like if spice is not your thing you’re gonna hate the plated prisoner series. I’m indifferent to spice. Take it or leave it. The plated prisoner series was recommended to me for the story and the feminine awakening of the main character. But the explicit sexual violence in the plated prisoner series was super confronting. And it’s peppered with a lot of explicit spice. Maybe you’re going to hate it will be a big call. But even I opened the first book and the first chapter made me raise my eyebrows and question out loud to my husband why I was reading it!

I didn’t like song of achilles. i didn’t like the daddy issues they both had. I didn’t really understand what was happening in the Greek aspect of it. i loved the main characters tho! i’m starting to read ignite me and the court of mist and fury. i love your tbr. i have a lot of books to read that are on my physical tbr. ily❤

This is just my two cents, but the Divergent series was a huge disappointment. It felt like the first book was well written and thought out... and then it just seemed like she lost the plot or tried to write the other books very quickly

so many good books here!! I loved addie larue because I expected to not like it so i think my low expectations meant it blew me away with how good it actually is! also, I hated the fine print but loved terms and conditions and I think you would love Iris in terms and conditions 🫶🏻
