That’s the best way to move clothes imo, the only better way is the method to wrap them in trash bags while still on the hangers. Saves a ton of time and boxes
I don't know if you own stuffed animals or not, but you could always place your hats on your stuffies! They won't wrinkle and the stuffies will be there anyways, no extra storage containers required
When I moved a couple years ago into my new place, the thing that I was most concerned about was how the cat would handle it. That was the hugest source of my stress! I was so worried that it was going to traumatize her! It’s amazing how much we love our little kitties, we just want them to be happy! 🐈🐈⬛
Congratulations!!! The easiest way to move hanging clothes is with trash bags- you put them in the bag and group the handle in to be tied by the trash bag tie. If anything falls off the hanger it’s in the bag and not on the floor. Untie and you hang them in one scoop!
With those floors in the dining room, I would 100% suggest getting one of those clear floor protectors to have under the kitty litter area. They are typically in the home office area (like for an office chair to roll on, but they work really well to keep any accidental messes off the real floor.
Congratulations! If you want to film around without worrying about creeps recognizing the view out of your windows, I recommend getting some pretty window film ! I did it for mine when I lived on the ground floor and cut out little circles so the cats could still look out 🐈
I remember the last time you moved and not being fully happy with your place. I'm so happy you're happy and have found a lovely place to call home!!! Congrats!!
Congratulations on the new place! I usually move large amounts of clothing by putting a sheet down, piling the clothes still on hangers on top, and make a roll. That way the clothes are protected, and they're super simple to unpack.
Congratulations!! I remember your drama with the last few places, so glad to hear you're in a good place now! Dude the clothing rack built directly over the window LOLOL. I'm kind of wary that the clothes hanging over it would fade, I'd probably block up the bottom half of the window and just use the top.
Congratulations on finding a new apartment. Love your big, new closet except for one thing. I would strongly suggest keeping the blind closed. Maybe even cover the lower half with a light blocking blind or curtain. The sunlight coming in your window, especially on clothes that aren't moved frequently, will fade your garments. You will find streaks and light spots, even weakening of the fibres from the items hanging in the sun. (think how curtains get damaged from hanging in the window). The last time I moved I did the dump the clothes, hangers and all in the back seat. You do what ever work! lol Have fun getting settled in and enjoy your new space! 😊
It’s so crazy it feels like everyone on RUclips and even around me is moving, that includes me! It actually won’t be until a while for me but this video really inspired me to get an early start with clearing out clutter!
I totally understand the 'where to put the kitty litter' thing - every place I've lived, I've had to deal with that. There's no perfect place, but I'm sure it'll be fine in your new place. I hope the cats get comfortable soon. I moved my poor Dylan about six times, and every time, he spent 24 hours hiding.
That is the best way to move clothes but I slide a large garbage bag up from the bottom over the bunch of clothes and tie at the top around the hangers that way if something falls off a hanger I don't trip and fall. The bags can be reused.
Girl, I’ve never moved my clothes in boxes either. It’s been hangers in the car and carrying too. I always tell myself it’s more sustainable that way, lol. Congrats on the new place!
I'm so glad you love your new place. I do, too. I love moving into new spaces . Oh, the endless decor possibilities! Although, I've now been here in my forever home for 2O years and my sewing room/jewelry studio & my office /spare bedroom have been in a constant state of change.
I def use old shoeboxes for storage. At one point, I was also using a storage shoebox to elevate my laptop so I wasn't doing zoom meetings looking up from below, lol.
I’m moving this week as well😊 but also downsizing, it’s an overwhelming process (mostly fun) but at times I just don’t know what to do first… …so I’m procrastinating and watching you move ❤
I myself have a Snowglobe collection, my parents go on trips often and bring back at least one from each town they visit, and I buy some myself in every bigger location/town I visit
My husband likes the old amber/yellow lighting, too. I've managed to change every room in the house, except the master bedroom. I'll let him keep that!😂
Congrats on tje new place! It looks so nice! As a fellow renter, I feel you so much. We got so many boxes. And over here all walls are always white. It feels so sterile and when you move out, everything has to look like when you moved in. And I think frequent moving i sthe reason our generation does not own heavy furniture anymore.
Great video! I’m so glad you got a new apartment. Also the mini and Mickey Mouse baby lamp they are babies because it’s made for a nursery or kids bedroom lol. Your cats are so cute and fluffy! Give them loves for me.
OMG, the Mickey and Minnie baby lamp! I don't remember having that lamp, but I know my nursery was done in baby Mickey and Minnie. I had framed photos of them that I still have floating around somewhere ❤
So exciting!!! Congrats!! Also, random note, but for hat storage my husband and I use a giant hollow Lego man head that his parents got us for Christmas that had some little Legos inside 😂 it's hilarious but it works! We keep it in our closet, so when you open it up and look on the shelf there's just a giant Lego head with hats inside 🤣 it cracks me up lol
Congrats! So glad y'all found a place you can truly enjoy. I like my current place, but long for the day when my partner and I can move somewhere with a bit more room. Probably not as much as in CA, but homes are pretty expensive where I live.
Love moving content ❤️ Just wondering if you remember where you got the little green cat bed in the corner of your old office? It’s so cute and I would love one for my kitty!
I have the EXACT SAME relationship with black tights. I have so many, I dont get rid of the ones I hate, and I can never remember which ones I like. Feeling so seen
Hi Alexa! I was just wondering… if you like that denim Disney skirt except for the butt patch, maybe you just could take that patch off (if it’s sewn on, I don’t know if it’s possible if it’s glued) and wear it again! Just an idea I had! Have a nice day! 😊
Next time you move your clothes, put them in trash bags and connect the handles to the hangers. then, you dont have to worry about them falling or getting messy!
I blame my mom for my pillow mountain habit 😅 she does the same thing and now I have to sleep with like 5 pillows around me like a fort! I use to sleep with more since I had to sleep on an incline because of my reflux disease (couldn’t sleep straight down) but even after having surgery for that I still have to have a slight incline.
That’s the best way to move clothes imo, the only better way is the method to wrap them in trash bags while still on the hangers. Saves a ton of time and boxes
I'm so late but came here to say this for anyone in the future! It's been such a lifesaver for me!
I don't know if you own stuffed animals or not, but you could always place your hats on your stuffies! They won't wrinkle and the stuffies will be there anyways, no extra storage containers required
Congratulations! Girl … that is the perfect way to move your clothes. I’ve done it many times.

So wonderful that y’all have a week to move. It becomes stressful when the moving times don’t line up, or you have like a day to move everything
With those floors in the dining room, I would 100% suggest getting one of those clear floor protectors to have under the kitty litter area. They are typically in the home office area (like for an office chair to roll on, but they work really well to keep any accidental messes off the real floor.
Congrats! The natural light in front of the bedroom window is divine.
Congratulations!

I hope the kitties are doing better 🥺 they’re so precious ❤
Congrats on the new place Alexa and John 😊
Congratulations!! I remember your drama with the last few places, so glad to hear you're in a good place now!

Pleased you found a place you can relax in and be happy ❤

The video series I have been waiting for! It did not disappoint! I am truly so happy for y’all.

So happy for you! The last part you’re GLOWING 💚💚💚
I'm currently in the process of moving, furnishing and decorating my new apartment so this video could not come at a better time 🤩
I’m getting separated and one positive thing is that I can make my space my own again!
That is the best way to move clothes but I slide a large garbage bag up from the bottom over the bunch of clothes and tie at the top around the hangers that way if something falls off a hanger I don't trip and fall. The bags can be reused.

Happy sunny Sunday Alexa congratulations on your new house 🏠

Amazing!!! I literally moved yesterday! Haha 🤣 unpacking is so overwhelming
Yeeees! I literally was so sour for 4 days after 😅 hope your move went well!
So happy for you and John, especially after the nightmare of the previous flat 💖
Congratulations! So sweet seeing you with the kitties as they get used to everything, awesome kitty parents!
The lighting in front of your new bedroom window is so good!

I def use old shoeboxes for storage. At one point, I was also using a storage shoebox to elevate my laptop so I wasn't doing zoom meetings looking up from below, lol.
19:05 The swan decor is sooo cute. I live bird motifs
Congratulations on your new place! I am so happy for you and John!🫶🫂
I use large shoe boxes for storage all the time > makeup/out of season socks/sewing stuff etc. Beats buying boxes/containers.
So happy for y’all! The walk in closet with windows is epic 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩!
have you thought of giving those Tommy boots a bit of an upcycle? get yourself some leather paint and give it a go. Couldn't hurt
i second this!! boot transformation!
To store bucket hats: clip a clothespin on the rim and hang it onto the edge of a wire shelf or on a clothesline :)
I’m moving this week as well😊 but also downsizing, it’s an overwhelming process (mostly fun) but at times I just don’t know what to do first… …so I’m procrastinating and watching you move ❤
The new place looks so cute!! Can't wait to see your new office space!! 💖
So excited for you! Can't wait for the decorating/make over content 💛

What you said about the documents is soooo real!!!!
Congrats! So glad y'all found a place you can truly enjoy. I like my current place, but long for the day when my partner and I can move somewhere with a bit more room. Probably not as much as in CA, but homes are pretty expensive where I live.
Carrying the clothes is so me
Love moving content ❤️ Just wondering if you remember where you got the little green cat bed in the corner of your old office? It’s so cute and I would love one for my kitty!
Salem looooooves them! They are from Amazon, it’s the Lesure Calming Small Dog Bed ❤️

I like a different type of video like this
my cat when you threw the bouncy ball 👀
20:14 I spy with my little eye something TWILIGHT! Is that a 'Twilight' shirt? It's amazing! Congrats on moving by the way, that's so exciting! 🥰🥳
So exciting! I'm so happy for you.😊
So excited for the next vid! And all the videos to come in this new apartment
Congratulations on your new place! Was I the only one who felt sad watching you take apart your filming room? So many good video memories.
I have the EXACT SAME relationship with black tights. I have so many, I dont get rid of the ones I hate, and I can never remember which ones I like. Feeling so seen
Love the place!! ❤
Beautiful swan frame great find. Your doing great. When move I do that with my clothes too❤👍✅
im so happy for you guys!!
I love that rug!! I had a similar (if not same one) in my room as a kid. Wish I still had it 😂
Que legal 😻♥️
Aqui fã brasileira 🇧🇷
Moving clothes like that stresses me out 😂 i always move them in my suitcases.
It looks lovely! I bet you’re loving the natural light. Can’t wait to see you put your stamp on it. Are there upper kitchen cupboards?
You use the same sunscreen as me, I love Krave Beauty! Haha I love that you are happy with your cute new apartment ❤
Tights: buy Snag Tights ones! They are perfect!
You can put your bucket hat on some rubber maid bowls to keep there shape 🧢
The closet🙌
old lampshades from the thrift store to rest your hats on in your closet.
🌸Enjoy your new home💐
How to store hats? I have a hat rack cause my husband has several. ;) ❤
For moving, put in a box 😂 That's what I did lol
Heads up I wouldn’t keep your perfume in the bathroom!!! The humidity from the shower can cause it to lose its potency/go off much quicker!!!!
Hi Alexa! I was just wondering… if you like that denim Disney skirt except for the butt patch, maybe you just could take that patch off (if it’s sewn on, I don’t know if it’s possible if it’s glued) and wear it again! Just an idea I had! Have a nice day! 😊
I wish throwing things away felt like a weight lifted for me 😢😢😢😢 haha. To me there’s always more work it never ends
moving is the absolute worst! but i’m excited for you :)
Next time you move your clothes, put them in trash bags and connect the handles to the hangers. then, you dont have to worry about them falling or getting messy!
Where is the bedframe from? It looks super easy to move with!
It’s from Floyd! We’ve had it since 2020 and have loved it! It’s perfect for moving too!
that mattress is getting no airflow. I highly recommend drilling sizable holes. if the mattress doesn't get any air it will get musty and moldy
girl the mountain of pillows on your bed had me in tears omg 💀
I blame my mom for my pillow mountain habit 😅 she does the same thing and now I have to sleep with like 5 pillows around me like a fort!
