It's pretty clear that MKM is not a well-liked set and has generally been rejected by the MTG player and collector base. Honestly, I don't think it's as bad as people are making it out to be. The land cycle has proven to be really playable in multiple formats including Modern. There are several impact Mythics including one that just took center stage in a Pro Tour winning Pioneer event.
