I love that you guys didn't edit any of the problems out! Kudos Jay ur the coolest car guy ever!!
Just more reasons to love the show. A great car, two nice guys, and car problems! Real life!
I like how Jay instantly knew what was wrong when the car starting squealing
Jay, my high school auto shop teachers jointly bought one of these in the early 70's and had it in the shop. It was so cool to come to shop every day, the aura of the Ferrari dominated the atmosphere. I never saw them working on it and I never saw it run but I've never forgotten it either.
What I love is that they probably fixed that cable right there on the spot and had a bunch of laughs along the way. That’s what it’s all about.
They did not. Jay had Adam on his show three years later, and he asked him when he would come and fix his car and pick it up.
"I love the fact that they built the car around the ashtray..."
"And they had one in the back for the kids, too!"
LMAO that was too much for me....
Omg dude i lost it at that point, my roomate's trying to sleep and i probably woke him up with my laughter
My parents put a babyseat in the back of their 250 GTE. I pretended the back ashtray was a swimming pool for my dolls!
A responsible parent alway light his or her childrens cigarettes
IF YOU WATCH ENOUGH OF JAY'S VIDEOS YOU'LL HEAR THAT JOKE AGAIN, AND AGAIN...
Italian baby's are born smoking
What a great episode, Jay looked excited to get into that dash and fix that cable. He's exactly right, this is part of the joy of owning an old car.
"Do not place in rectum" haha, Adam is hysterical
that is one of THE most beautiful cars I've ever seen.
I must disagree, the Ferrari 330 P4 IS the MOST beautiful and gorgeous car ever built.
The 65 Lambo 350 GT is my fav....
Mmmm, Ferrari 250GTO IS BETTER
But with Ferrari it depends on the type of cars ...
This one is the great great great great great (ten times) grandfather of the GT4C Lusso!
250Gto was the great great (again) grandfather of the 812 Superfast .
Different vheicles targeted at different ways of driving .
this is classy
Completely agree with Adam here, I know many that call themselves "car guys" because they can identify a badge and their gramps owns a Hemi.
I'm 26, never owned an automatic, never will. Obsessed with unique historic mechanical engineering and can talk cars with the best of em'.
Really wish I'd get an opportunity to work with and maintain these mechanical triumphs. The story behind why the velocity stacks on those Webbers are designed and shaped the way they are is probably just as interesting as the rest of the chassis.
K31TH3R amen.
These two and Seinfeld need to make Top Gear..
Pffftttt...Seinfeld NEVER uttered ANYTHING I ever remotely found funny.
He isn't funny on his show, but he has done other car reviews and they are a lot better than the current American top gear.
synthWizkid Way to keep it classy..
synthWizkid is right. Watching American top gear is like watching a good old boy try to use Facebook. It's slow, painfully awkward and makes people more stupid.
SpeedyNeutrino172 ...”whats the deal with that?”
"When the wife see's you leave the house with the speedo lube, they start to ask questions" lmao
His steam car is bad ass, and has some power too, I let him merge in front of me on a hill, before i realized it was him, and he pulled that incline at about 60mph, in his red and grey/silver steam car. Very courteous driver too, he stayed in the slow lane and didnt forget the wave for backing off and letting him merge. From a distance i thought a car with a blown head gasket was getting on the freeway, as i got close i realized it was steam, a bizzare sight to see a steam car on busy freeway in the san fernando valley.
I bet it was the 210 freeway huh? Haha
yeah its always the 210 lol, at la tuna canyon
And it doesn't have air bags, it has steam bags.
Can Jay make microwave popcorn with the steam car?
Most entertaining episode of the series I've ever seen. Like Jay, I love the earlier Ferraris', though not a Ferrari guy. There's something very stylish and special about the European GT cars of that era.
I wish they had included them fixing the speedo cable at Leno's Garage........
Patrick Couch I like that Jay seems genuinely enthusiastic about fixing the speedo cable
Even though Jay says he is not a Ferrari guy, he definitely can appreciate the simplistic beauty of this 330 GT 2+2. Beautiful car
"So clean, so simple, so elegant".... Beautiful car!!!
yea times have changed my 73 duster has 5 ashtrays and no drink holders .... my new ram truck has 8 drink holder spots and zero ash trays lol
The Honda Odyssey has like 10 or 12 drink holders. But only seats 8.
Yeah I got a kick outta that statement too.. My 79 Chrysler has 3 ashtrays and 1 electric lighter. There are ''indentations' in the glove box lid for 2 cup holders, but the owner's manual says that they are not intended to be used while the car is in motion.. My 85 Dodge had 2 very nice cup holders in the center deck, but blocked the ashtray, and I remember my dad would have a fit over it. His 92 Dodge had 1 cup holder and he had to buy a separate dealer accessory ashtray that fit into the said holder, so it was 1 or the other... My 98 Dodge has a pull out cup holder for 2, but since I have a 5 speed, the cups interfere with the shifter. My 05 Acura has 2 cup holders and no ashtrays, same as my 09 Challenger. Both of those cup holders interfere w the sticks. Oh well, times do change I guess!
Dustin Gould and
Late 90’s was the sweet spot. My Lexus LS has 4 drink holders that fit the large cups (if necessary) and a big ashtray up front and individuals in the rear. Only thing it lacked from a modern car was Bluetooth or an aux cord. A radio install or some simple soldering work (what I did so I could retain the stock upgrade Nakamichi system and its 1ohm 10” subwoofer) will fix that right up. Plus with a ~300hp/tq V8 QuadCam VVTI engine it’s perfect for a DD.
Dustin Gould ii
You guys are funny! That's what owning an old car is all about. That's what makes it fun...
Two true car enthusiast together. Gotta love it!
Adam chose wisely. It has all the panache of a vintage Ferrari, without the $1m + price tag. But in just two years, this car has more than doubled in value. Maybe more because of it's celebrity status.
I love the lines and the interior is to die for. And that wonderful engine, what a sound.
shame he never drives it.
Best episode ever!! Corolla took his car to Jay for gas and a speedometer repair!
This is the most beautiful car I've ever seen....
Just for comparison, go and see the Lamborghini GT 400. Look at that profile and see what you think ;-)
Check out the Ferrari 250 GT SWB - Sort of like this but super beautiful and worth about 5-10 million.
No it`s not. The most beautiful car you`ve ever seen is the 1962 250 GT Lusso Berlinetta. And if you haven`t seen it,google it and it will imediately be the most beautiful car you`ve ever seen. OR the Ferrari F40,albeit slightly less..... practical. Aren`t you glad i told you what you think? Ofcourse you are,and you`re welcome
EVILSPAWN1003 I don't find the F40 beautiful in the same way I find the GT Lusso beautiful. The F40 is beautiful in the sense that it's such a raw, boxy simple race car design. The GT Lusso is beautiful because it has great curves, creases, and overall good design.
F40 is like the Countach for me, not a "beautiful" design like a Miura or GT Lusso but beautiful because of how boxy and outlandish they are
Rickusty Check out this cars sister, the 275 GTS!
"Ferrari's, they own you not the other way around" I probably got that wrong, but I love that quote.
Suddenly running out of fuel and a busted speedometer...that's classic Ferrari's for you!
That's classic "everything" for ya. I still prefer cars from those times though. Half the fun was wrenching on them with your buddies and then going for a blast to test out the new carb, headers etc. Just my humble opinion though.
It's not registered, so it's a garage queen. If it was being used, these problems would have been resolved.
cars NEVER suddenly run out of gas dude, someone forgot to put some gas in it maybee, plus54 yr old car.......things like cables brake.u dont sound much like a car guy
iosonofreddy sedda “suddenly running out of fuel” as in maybe a problem with the supply of fuel to the engine, not necessarily due to a guy not filling up the tank! Which would be human error of course. And I’ve been a “car guy” since back in the late 70s!
Funniest Jay's Cars segment yet. "How Adam Carolla Got Jay To Fix His Car". Great to watch with headphones. When I heard the speedo cable go, I knew instantly what it was, having owned a 1966 MGB with Mr Lucas' evil gauges.
Really, Lucas gauges? If you take a look, you will find that Lucas made electrical equipment, and Smith made the gauges. But don't blame either for the speedo drive cable, they were made by cable manufacturers.
Jay handled that like a pro.
Jay should run some of his bluppers. How many times has he taken his cars out only to have something break or blow up or fall off?. I speak from my experience with a 1929 closed cab Ford Model A.
fixing things is in fact a 'pleasurable issue' for some people. up to a limit of course.. but you see this attitude in a multitude of fields.
i just used my sewing machine today and i heard a 'new noise'... i'll be opening that baby up tonight and take a look... build in the 60s, thrown around in a garage for the last 30yrs, but i got it working, did the adjustments, the timings, can't wait to work on it again :}
That was good acting
I freakin' love Jay Leno's Garage.
kids these days will never know the feeling of a window crank digging into the side of your leg.
yeah, it's a shame old cars just ceased to exist. or all the cars with crank windows just suddenly have electric windows. i'm being sarcadtic.
They are not entirely gone actually. My friend bought a brand new, bare bones Chevy Silverado about 10-12 years ago, and it had hand crank windows.
i remember them and im not old either 31
Reminded me of the time (in 1987) I test rode a New HD Bagger ,in San Antonio Tx., the floor board pad fell off, and the rear tire almost locked up after gently tapping the brake pedal. I thought I better get this lemon back before it breaks down completely....
This video was hilarious one of the best you've done Jay. Please do more together.
What a beautiful car, if someone offered me a 458 or this I would take this. You turn up somewhere in this and you've got more style and class than one hundred 458's. Amazingly beautiful design and from such a wonderful era in car design, music, film and fashion.
thats a perfect video. exactly what owning a classic is like. there are great days and days where it needs fixing.
Once I went on a date with a guy who didn't know how many cylinders his car had, or what cylinders were for... Happened right at the start of the date when I picked him up, saw his car and asked some questions about it, when he hadn't a clue what cylinders where. "Is that a 4 cylinder or a V6?" "What's that mean?" Ugh, I knew right then there was not going to be a second date...
lol, the world needs more people like you!
shouldn't of been a first date to begin with if you had to pick him up
I love you. Please marry my son.
My kind of lady! You must be even more wonderful in person.
He probably had the same sentiments
HAHAHA the speedo drive cable nearly knocked me out of my chair. Just one reason why I love old cars so much, you never know what they're going to do next!
"Do you know how fast you were going?"
"Sorry officer, the speedo's broken."
Used that one time on my motorcycle with a broken speedometer cable.
"Uh, sorry officer, I must have been in 3rd gear." He did not write me up.
What's the registration on this car? What, there isn't one? Must have dropped off, like the speedo needle.
I tried that once with an old VW I had. The speedo worked, but it was nighttime and the interior lights had failed. "Do you know how fast you were going?" "Unfortunately, no." It didn't work out as well for me as it did for Max. :)
Jay, The Ferrari 328 and 360 are entry level priced and a review of these would be greatly appreciated for us not so wealthy folks interested in purchasing an exotic.
"At least nothing was damaged...""Just my ego, Jay, just my fragile ego."
Two guys who love cars hanging out. some of my best memories are of me and a couple of friends working on a car.
"do not place in rectum" lol..
Warnings on everything, because in america, you can get sued for serving hot coffee..
Here we go...
www.caoc.org/?pg=facts
Coffee is supposed to be served at about 80 degrees C, it vaporizes 20C above that.
People drying their cat in the microwaves isn`t too shabby either :p
Slipping on floors, papercuts, etc. etc..
thanks for the link though
The sad thing is, if there is a warning against it , someone has already done it!
Cold coffee too!
The fact that it was breaking made me love it even more!
Funny stuff. Wasn't expecting that happy ending lol
Jay, I used to work in a Speedometer repair shop and the speedo is an easy fix. It's not the cable, although it should also be serviced. The speed-cup inside the speedo head is becoming frozen and the vibration from the shaft binding and squealing loosened the needle. If not fixed, speedo will freeze up and twist off the speedo drive cable. A couple drops of Tri-Flow Lock lube at speedo rear magnet shaft tip bushing, not inside, should temporarily cure the problem. The front glass needs to be removed to reset the needle. I would just send the speedo in for a rebuild and calibration, about $120 in today's dollars.
Just beautiful and it sounds amazing too!
Yeah, just listen to that speedometer purr!
adam begging for jay to keep him on the tonight show had me rolling
Amazingly good sports!
Good video! I think its a nice overview of the 330 2+2. I love just about all the Ferrari's from the '60's to the F40. Funny in the fact that it gives a small dose of reality on what vintage car ownership can be like. Whining speedo cables, heavy mechanicals, fussy electronics, gotta love it.
Come on Jay, modern Ferraris are awesome!
Yep
yes and his argument is crap, he can't work on his Mclaren P1 or 12c neither, i grewup in a garage but I can't work on my Golf, it's just modern cars
the LaFerrari is faster and more impressive then his P1, the guys/journalists that drove both cars say so not me but i wonder if Jay is gonna do a review of the Laferrari in the future
I disagree. Ferraris used to be awesome, but now they're mainly trophies or fashion accessories for wealthy people that don't have a clue about anything. Plus Ferrari was one of the leaders of removing the amazing and fun stick shift for a boring automatics in their cars. Now you can't even control the gears yourself in a Ferrari. I'm not buying an automatic sports car.
+maxpowers3732, The new Ferraris are a symbol of fun and playfulness, the new Lamborghinis or Bugattis on the other hand are basically to say, "yeah, I have more money than you"
***** I thought what sold cars was driving enjoyment and excitement. I've been to track and am planning to track my Porsche 911, but I mainly want to enjoy driving the car on and off the track. Why do people care how their lap time compares to other cars? Why wouldn't the people who can afford these cars want to have fun with a clutch and gearshift? Who cares how fast the thing can shift if it isn't enjoyable? I may want to buy one of these cars someday and they don't even make a car I shift myself, so what's the point?
Does anyone actually use the flappy paddles for more than 5 minutes? You can only shift sequentially and the car usually shifts as well if not better than most people. Plus it's not rewarding or fun in any way to push a paddle, so what's the point?
I'm glad I was able to buy my new 911 with a manual, but the dealership only had the heavy, expensive, boring automatic (PDK) so I had to custom order my car.
This Farrari is more beautiful than the 275 GT4, in my eyes. Absolutely spectacular. Thank you Adam Carolla for sharing this car with us.
Check out Harry's Garage. Very similar car , though 1965. And he didn't know how much gas was in the tank.
Got to London and back though!.
That silver one id gorgeous. That's what brought me here.
I love working on all of my exotics. Very satisfying.
Running out of gas....and then the speedometer...that was hilarious! What do you expect for only $150,000...lol.
It's comforting to see everybody has things break on old cars, it's part of it and I'm glad they didn't edit it out.
I would rather break down in an old car than drive a new one
Jay is a gentelman, polite, respective, and true to the fans. His car sense is impeccably pure. These video veritas will be watched and cherished for years to come. J C has got to be smiling when he looks Jay's way!
I'm with Jay on this one. Pre-1980s Ferraris can be great - some of them are among the most beautiful cars of all time for me. Current prices for those are pretty ridiculous, but at least they show that a lot of other people see it the same way.
Their modern stuff - meh. They're fast and all that and their technology is incredible. Looks-wise however ...
The same could be said for a lot of makes. I'd rather have a pre-1973 911 than a 993, 997 or even 991. I'd rather have a Miura than a Gallardo or Murcielago. It's just a matter of taste I guess.
Plus: Any older car is bound to be more "raw" and will give you more feedback. Modern cars tend to leave you feeling more disconnected or insulated from the road. My MK VI Golf GTI feels like a cruise ship compared to a MK I or even MK II GTI.
so pre 1980 ? what about the F40? or now the Laferrari ? it makes his p1 eat dust
Yerrie F40 is an incredible piece of kit - but it's not what I'd call beautiful. Not when you compare it to, say, the Daytona or the California Spyder. After all: It's an 80s car and, let's face it, a lot of those haven't aged well. Back when they were in production, I loved the Testarossa's or Porsche 959's looks, but when I look at them today? Not so much.
But again: Just my opinion and beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Yerrie nah the P1 is wayyy better looking than the Laferrari, and most likely faster since Ferrari is running scared and flat out forbidding any races between the two that any journalists tried to do.
1SaG
I agree with pretty much everything you said but isn’t it strange that the Testarossa is the car most often associated with the name Ferrari? They sold a LOT of posters of that car back in the day. I had one
More of Jay and Adam! Please!
When I drive my steam cars..... too funny !!!! Ha ha 😎
Jay was all over that problem 5seconds after it started. What a gun!!
Tastes are tastes ..everyone likes what he wants ..
this is valid for J. Leno like for everyone.
What makes me laugh are the comments of professional Ferrari haters.
Resign yourselves..
Ferrari builds racing cars from almost 70 years.
Its history is made of wins in any type of races...
many of its road models are part of the automobile history.
Ferrari is passion and technology at the highest levels and no matter what the troll-haters can say.
It's universally recognized as the best brand in the world, is the only automaker that can choose their customers.. ask yourself why.
Maybe for the pretty Enzo Ferrari face?
For the silver horse???
Sure.. is for this reason...LOL
Bye haters.. continue to buy the beetle.
Ferrari is an automotive institution. Calling it a car company is a massive understatement.
If you can fix your car you deserve to be driving it.
Old V12 Ferraris are so visceral and beyond sublime.
It seems to be a common thought on Ferraris - the old ones just oozed glamour, passion, beauty (those Borranis...) and everything that you associate with Italian cars. And the sound...now they're just complicated, driven by footballers, too much F1-for-the-road stuff and tbh, not that pretty. Fast, yes. But they don't have the soul of these classic models.
+Tom Ellis that's true with pretty much all new cars. I hate the way they are making them nowadays like then enginge being crammed under the hood, can't even do your own simple maintence most of the time
+rbagel55 couldn't agree more. I had a Subaru impreza WRX STI a few years ago. I bought it knowing the clutch needed to be replaced but didn't think it would be too bad, how wrong I was, 16 hours later I was really tempted to burn the thing. all cars are the same now and its so annoying.
Gary Lowe
True basically, but my father recently bought
a new Hyundai Santa FE with the 2.5 liter
V4 and at least with this one you can change your oil, because the filter is right there and the engine isn't crammed under the hood.
It ranked high on Consumer Reports customer satisfaction as well
rbagel55
Hyundai has never made a 2.5L V4 engine. V4 engines are some of the rarest engines by any manufacturers and most have never had one in their line up. The Santa Fe in-line 4cyl is a pretty generic type I4 with a displacement that ranged from 2.0-2.4L. Some were Turbocharged.
They were also available with Hyundai’s knock off of Toyota’s V6. The Hyundai V6 was available with a displacement range of 2.7-3.5L depending on the year.
You two are hilarious together! Adam has to come back on with another car!
Can't believe Jay doesn't like FERRARI 😕
+Al Briano He has more brains than money in this case. Rightfully so too...
+Al Briano not many Ferrari owners are real car guys...Jay also doesn't own any BMWs nor Audis....why do you think that is?
+none none *they're
*****
yep
+none none Yes they are slow. Compared to the car you drive I am sure.
It would also be really interesting if we were brought along the next time Jay is looking to buy a specific car. You know, from him pointing to the screen of a laptop going "This is the '02 Aztek I was telling you about. I hope the paint is in as good condition as the picture shows. Let's go meet with the seller". And then we follow the journey of purchasing a car for the garage from start to finish. PS: Thank you so much for doing this show. We are so many who appreciate it.
Doesn't like a Ferrari because it's complicated.
Owns a McLaren and a Porsche 918 Spyder.
But doesn't drive them.
He doesn't own them because he's genetically cheap and thinks they are overpriced....which they are.
Jay says he drives them
Yeah I don't get it either. He actually owns several McLarens, Porsches, and Lambos. He actually would be many millions richer if he had purchased some old Ferraris in the 80s and 90s (not that he cares, obviously).
This was one of the best videos you've done Jay please do more together.
Doesn't jay have a McClaren p1 and f1? Are those not complicated?
I'm glad I can watch these on RUclips now! The player here is a bit more reliable. When I was younger I'd seen most, if not all of them on the site. It's nice to revisit and see some new stuff!
Why are there not more Ferraris on Jay lenos garage?
I believe he doesnt like newer Ferraris cuz he cant work on them.
No but classic Ferraris, like a 308, 328, Testarossa, Berlinetta Boxer, Dino etc.
Jay doesn't like Ferrari. Jay thinks that if you got the money for a car you should be able to buy it. If you for example want to buy an Enzo or Laferrari you have to own 3 or 4 Ferrari's before buying it...
in an interview i saw yesterday he said that he simple missed a couple of opportunities to buy one
Yeah, like the other guys have said - he just isn't a HUGE fan of the marque (for whatever reason; personal preference). .
Jay hit the nail on the head. Todays cars are more dependable, but I hate not being able to work on them. Been trying to find my 17 y.o. son something older, inexpensive, and in descent shape that I can work on. Hard to do with a low budget.
Cmon Jay.....you don't like Ferrari?!?! 🤦🏻♂️ I like you....but your crazy! 😆
This is something that I always wanted to see,Adam & Jay getting together, but what I like to know is how did I missed this when it first aired since I watch every show by both and I do not do drugs or drink anymore, wow I am losing it
We'd love to see some segments with you working on a car! We know you do it because you know what you're talking about when discussing these cars! It kinda bothers me that because you're a big TV star we'll never get to meet. I'm sure under normal circumstances we would have been friends and hang out, work on cars, bikes or whatever. We're just cut out of the same cloth. Yes, I enjoy your comedy but it's the car guy I would like to meet! I have an old Porsche 914 that I'm restoring currently. I bet you don't have one of those! Mine is a 4 cylinder cause that's what I can afford but you should build a 914/6 with a hot late model air cooled 911 engine. It would be a great daily driver for you!
Another lovely video, which I enjoyed thoroughly, and which hit very close to home. My father loves to tell the story of a visit to a gas station/foreign car shop in Calgary which almost ended up in him owning a '66 330 GT. It needed a valve adjustment, so he couldn't drive it, but he said it sounded lovely at idle, and he still gushes over the styling to this day. Not bad for $5000 in 1973! He still fondly remembers that car, and I think he's going to enjoy this video. Thanks for posting it!
Does Jay even own a Ferrari?
No, he owns like a 280+ cars and not a single Ferrari.
Some how Jay never liked Ferrari, that's just too bad. Ferrari has some great iconic machines over the years that Jay should do a video on.
Jay buys for investment, Ferraris are so high priced he doesn't see them as a good investment.
deezynar Price isn't the problem, Jay can afford a million dollar F1 I'm sure he can buy a couple Ferraris if he wanted to.
Wot48
I'm telling you what Jay has said.
That was great! What a beautiful car and a nice exchange between pals.
The reality of classic car ownership!
They break...
. . . as a sufferer of tinitus I laughed my head off . . great video reminding everyone of the joys of classic car motoring . . driving along waiting for the next noise to indicate what you will be working on next weekend . . . and lying underneath your car, in the hot sun, at the side of major road being hit by dust and the odd stone . . bliss . . !
Adam was going to be on American Top Gear but he was working on another show that eventually got cancelled. They replaced him with another person named Adam who is not funny at all. American Top gear sucks!
when i was a kid, i used to think the speedometer was how fast the car could go. i used to peek into the windows of parked cars to see "how fast it goes".
That's a Ferrari for you. Things fall apart in mere miles. New ones are even worse tho...
Is that why, as a supercar manufacturer, they offer a 15 year warranty?
www.google.ca/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=www.caranddriver.com/amp/news/prancing-horse-peace-of-mind-ferrari-extended-warranty-now-stretches-to-15-years&ved=2ahUKEwiovqDE0ZveAhU-ITQIHY-mBJMQFjACegQICxAP&usg=AOvVaw2v-hGvD-koraCtfMBYK-7f&cf=1
Loved this! True reality TV. Keep it real!
Can't really put my finger on it, but there's something about Carolla that pisses me off. Anyway, that Ferrari does't really do much for me. Overrrated like most of them.
I can't stand the way he shifts his weight on his feet and sways side-to-side when he's standing... It's an incredibly annoying thing he does. His body movements also remind me of a 90 year old man who's got arthritis in every joint, and it causes him tremendous pain anytime he bends something, so he stands as rigidly as he can. Either that, or he's actually an anal retentive.
Both nostrils are always blocked?
For me, it's the sound of his voice and the way he talks. There's just something incredibly annoying about it.
He's got that look on his face like he has to fart while he's licking the butt-hole of some who just did fart
Maybe his nasal toned voice? Reminds me of Urkel...
Jay I'm watching all the old videos and loving them. Hilarious that you and Adam ran out of gas and the speedo cable broke! I love the sexy look of the old Ferraris!
What a piece of crap... It's falling apart.
GruszkuEntertainment it's more than you can afford pal, Ferrari
DjDizzy216 Lamborghinis are way better than the expensive Fiat. At first, I haven't thought of this quote as being from the F&F...
***** And Ferraris are Fiats in drag. Get your facts straight.
+DjDizzy216 shouldn't have to justify that... only true car enthusiasts would have understood that quote!
***** You're fucking brainless. Lamborghini uses Audi quattro system? (which is actually made by Haldex). Lamborghini cars are fitted with Borg-Warner systems for ultimate traction and possibility to sustain extreme speeds. FIAT OWNS FERRARI. Everything that Ferrari makes is a Fiat design. I love older Ferraris (90s models) and Alfa Romeos, but the newer ones are utter crap.
Glad you kept the funny bits in Jay! That was hillarious. And also a beautiful car.
What a guy Jay, helping out another car guy, although he let his car run out of gas.. Hope to meet you one day and see that wonderful garage.
You definitely couldn't script this. I'm glad they showed what really happened.
Jay is the KING of the double denim look
I had a 1962 250 GTF for a while in the early 1970’s. It was used, of course, and didn’t cost much. The reason for the two distributors was that one 12 cylinder distributor with one coil couldn’t make and break the fields in the coil fast enough at high rpm. It takes a finite length of time for the field in the primary windings to collapse and induce a current in the secondary windings. Could be the modern super car owners you discuss don’t know about that sort of thing! There were dual coils and two two sets of points in each distributor. They had to be timed for each bank of cylinders. Although the electrical system was Magnetti Morelli I think Bosh made a special angle gauge to synchronize them. I never had one.
I absolutely love your old french posters in the back.. Why don't we make posters like those anymore ... I'm proud to be french anyway. Nice video mr Jay Leno
I really appreciate the fact they did not edit out running out of gas or the noisy speedo. That is what classic car ownership is about. "Once you own one, it owns you".
Two Comedians and a Classic Ferrari..
This Video Was AWESOME.!!
.. Jay is like... No problem we will fix it... Pull into the Shop..
I could watch these videos all day.
UPDATE: I've been watching these videos all day. I'm not ashamed.
I always wanted to have this car. Its so beautiful and elegant.
I wish RUclips had a love button, this was there funniest episode that I watched, how long had Adam had that car 20 minutes? Thanks Jay loved it!
I instantly fell in love with this car the first time i saw it..
This might be my favorite all around older Ferrari, plush, practical and more balanced in design than the slightly off-kilter GTC and GTS they just didn't look right. THE best looking interior of any older Ferrari including the Lusso, looks like a plush office with the Italian leather and the wood!
What a lovely motorcar. I remember in the early 80's my dad and I looked at a Lusso and a Gullwing Coupé that were both for sale (each) for $30K in Austin, TX. We passed on both. OUCH !!! Anyways, I've always liked the Ferrari 2+2's. The 400/412 being one of my all time favorites. Great video as always !!!
I fully agree that the 400/412 were beautiful cars. They seem to get overlooked though. That's a shame. Great comment.
This is the best channel on youtube!
Jay if your read this; Don't ever stop doing what you're doing with this channel! It is exactly what I've always wanted from a youtube channel!
