I had such a crush on David when I was a kid. I am now 60 years old and this music never gets old. Love The Partridge Family. RIP David, Suzanne and Dave Madden.
I just came across this November 22nd 2017.. after all this time ..that had to be one of the greatest reunions I've ever seen..he should of had Danny up there all along... Danny looked great and carried it very well
Love the self deprecating humor. David never took himself seriously. Such a beautiful human being the world didn't deserve ❤❤❤ Can't wait to see you on the other side 🤍🤍🤍
Thanks to David and Danny! I love you, Guys! You filled my childhood with great music and fun! I love your songs! Don't listen to naysayers. Thank you! :)
After David's tragic death and everyone everywhere in the media kept talking about how he screwed up his life, etc., Danny gave an interview where he wanted to set the record straight, that he (Danny) was in a really bad place in his life, he had no job, all the issues that come with that, and Danny says that David saved his life -- got him motivated to come to work -- hooked Danny up with people who could get him started on building back his life -- I love this video of that friendship and just having some fun -- I saw David in Blood Brothers with Petula Clark -- they were fabulous -- their voices were strong, and there he was my 7th grade crush right on stage in front of me -- sigh -- I hope he doesn't rest in peace -- I can see he and John Lennon, who was his friend, jamming with the rest of the world's greatest singers and musicians -- it's now 2021 -- thank God -- many happy blessings to everyone -- Patricia
What an amazing stage comeback with Danny. Love the improvisation David Cassidy awesome singer and performer. He was one of a kind, the original X-Factor.
How the fuck is this "brilliant"?!?! Niether one of them are playing their instruments. They guys behind them are while they just PRETEND to play them. What a fucking LOAD OF SHIT!
Xcorgi it is brilliant because for us david Cassidy fans watching , he's natural and relaxed and having fun with his good friend and the audience, is danny playing guitar, couldnt give a shit, its a lovely clip of our perfect precious man, You don't like it , dont watch it , no one has your arm up your back forcing you to. Rip David xx love and miss you so xx
For those who might not know -- DC is making fun of what the studio exec ppl wanted him to say in the middle of the song about "being just like everyone else". In the 70's when he was told to say this stuff he thought it was ludicrous as anyone could easily see his life was nothing like anyone else's but they made him say it nonetheless. So he is playing on that theme here.... Hillarious. Nice to see you kept your humor intact!
No he wasn't making fun of "studio exec ppl". It was just a joke. You think that anyone who sings lyrics are doing so autobiographically? Singers are actors in a sense where they play the part of the script for entertainment purposes. Those lyrics were EXACTLY what teeny boppers wanted to hear at the time and made the record a million seller. David was having fun with the lyrics saying it certainly didn't represent him. Any singer could make that same joke with any song.
Put me in that time machine and take me back to when David Cassidy was just he had it all he did and I'm one of those people who's going to keep saying that he deserves to be in the Rock and roll Hall of Fame he certainly does I mean he's he seems so good humor but I don't know how he really was I mean they said he really wasn't happy but he seems like he was and playing with Danny is definitely exciting thing to watch
LOVE that the real bass player is standing RIGHT BEHIND DANNY. Don't know if Danny's bass is plugged in or if the channel is on, but it's all show biz!
At least the intention was there, and a nice one, I think he really learned to play if just for that song only but still felt he needed the back up, just in case. Anyway I enjoyed it. I play the piano and the nearest I've been to playing bass is my left hand on the keyboard so I admire real bass players.
@@treblephone They're using wireless transmitters. He talked about this in an interview. He worked a bit with Cassidy learning the song but he did really play it. I believe it was a one song thing.
I always wished David would have taken his MUSIC CAREER more serious and had more songs. His voice was GREAT! (I still watch The Partridge Family just for HIS SINGING!)
As a bassist, I can tell Danny is actually playing the bass. Now whether or not he's turned up in the PA or not is debatable (there's another bassist behind him who is playing as well). Still, Danny's much more convincing in this video compared to The Partridge Show when he used to wrap his hand around the bass and it was very obvious that he didn't know how to play a note on the instrument.
OMG...David is tawlking to just me (he he). Kudos to you Danny and David for standing tall and embracing what made you all. Yeah, maybe it isn't what your plan was, but,...it is a much better choice then pounding nails for $40K a year in 115 degree weather. Thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!!!
The man asks where is love right here baby right here a little late but that's really a shame I think he could have had any woman he wanted to but he just had too many demons to fight what a shame he was fabulous
Danny wasn't playing for real. He was miming. The real Bass guitar player is right behind him actually playing. Danny was acting as a prop for a reunion.
Hahahaha, Danny’s moves haven’t changed since the Partridge Family days. These guys are still making me laugh 40 years later! ❤️
I had such a crush on David when I was a kid. I am now 60 years old and this music never gets old. Love The Partridge Family. RIP David, Suzanne and Dave Madden.

Finally, Danny finally gets to play his bass!

Two people trying to stay clean. ❤❤❤❤
Well Danny made it.
What an amazing stage comeback with Danny. Love the improvisation David Cassidy awesome singer and performer. He was one of a kind, the original X-Factor.

David and Danny both looked so good
What a reunion, He first introduced Danny Partridge!
Dan Novak DC took him on tour with him. Danny wss trying to stay clean. Danny was in recovery.
He just never ever could give up the booze. That's what killed him, the booze
That is so cute !! Love it !! ❤
Looks like it was such a blast. I sure wish I'd been there. He looks so gorgeous. I love the interaction with the audience.
Danny is hilarious and great, thank you!
Loved this!!!
Love these guys, thanks for posting!
they both are great brings back memories.
I Love Danny !!
Did I say I love this video clip?
Well I do!

I've never seen a Performance with two bass players at the same time.
Spinal Tap.
...with one not even plugged into an amp.... :)
@@treblephone They're using wireless transmitters. He talked about this in an interview. He worked a bit with Cassidy learning the song but he did really play it. I believe it was a one song thing.
Except he's not even playing it. The bass player behind him is. Bonaduce is just moving his fingers. He's not plugged in. 😆
I always wished David would have taken his MUSIC CAREER more serious and had more songs. His voice was GREAT! (I still watch The Partridge Family just for HIS SINGING!)
He really did take his music career seriously. The dude sold a lot of records from 71' to 74'.
This is great Lisatafro thanks

I noticed that too, and he does look like he's really concentrating on what he's doing.
How I miss you David
So much fun !!! 😊🧡
Danny playing air bass... the real bassist is behind him.
Danny needs to take David out on tour now...
His voice was still pretty damn good
No it's not.
Let's all hear your attempts at music, fella...we're all waiting ,prick.

Cool!!
just like real brothers
RIP David Cassidy
Where did his lisp come from rip honey handsome xoxo
Was Danny’s bass even plugged in? He had another bass player standing right behind him.
which year?
I'm not sure that he is really playing the bass because the guy behind him is playing the bass.
like brothers
Danny is looking a bit like Tom Jones.
BROTHERS

Was Danny really playing the bass? Why the audience laughed when DC he had the 1st of his 3 DUI'S! Makes me sick!
Right, that's no laughing matter, it's a very serious thing, shouldn't joke about it, bad example.
The man asks where is love right here baby right here a little late but that's really a shame I think he could have had any woman he wanted to but he just had too many demons to fight what a shame he was fabulous
Danny actually played Bass?
One finger.one string
I bet Danny misses David as mush as us
Danny wasn't playing for real. He was miming. The real Bass guitar player is right behind him actually playing. Danny was acting as a prop for a reunion.
His life turned out that way Sad!
Danny should be helping David with the words, even though Danny was my favorite.
He's slurring his "s's". 😳
Funny/sad they have 'real bass player' (w/ more strings) conspicuously located right behind Danny.
Yeah....you always want two bass players.
yeah, I don't think Danny is playing either.... fun clip though
Danny, just like old times, pretending to play the base. If you look really, really close, you'll see the real base player, right behind them. LOL
Danny still faking the base lol
Neither can play 🎸
David was a very accomplished musician and could play anything, I saw him live many times where he was standing in front of me playing
NOTICE THE WHITE BASS THAT'S ACTUALLY PLAYING.
