Wow United really does have the best commercials!!!! And always with that beautiful "Rhapsody in Blue" song!! Absolutely brilliant, superb marketing because their commercials literally fill me with a YEARNING to travel!
The shark, jackal, vulture and snake are correct representations of contemporary American corporate culture. The wise old owl at the head of the boardroom table? Not so, anymore.
i would just think that this ist because it is such a significant fact about higher management. anyway, without charts in this world you are lost... great commercial, love rhapsody in blue!
The ending is SO GREAT! I guess he's from a company where communication isn't as good---must be bad phones at their company. I love how they look at each other.
I wouldn't say it has any specific name - a hand drawn, flickering, graphic style - very modern but with a homage to the classic genres of animation. I've animated a few commercials like that, myself.
I don't know if it has a formal name. The intentional graniness and subdued colors it seems are trying to suggest a simpler time. Pre-Disney, not Mickey but Felix the Cat.
This airline threw a poor asian man off their plane to accomodate air crew, this rhapsody in blue is the soundtrack of shame. dont fly them, they are bad people and its time for them to be held accountable for their actions #boycottunitedairlines
This commercial ran at least a decade before the "CEO-ship" of Oscar Munoz, under whose leadership the "David Dao, MD" scandal you refer to (see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Express_Flight_3411_incident) took place. Reading up further, I find myself wondering who on the Directorate protected Munoz from being fired in 2017.
"Where you go in life is up to you!" What a statement! This is one of my favorite commercials of all time!
Wow 🤩
WHAT A GREAT COMMERCIAL! It's without a doubt a great example. Congratulations to United and the people that worked on this great piece.
I remember seeing this when I was very young
The pre-Zoom era
The look in that dog's eyes as he's chewing on the table always killed me! I think this ad goes much further back than 2005.
hahahah at the end!! I love United!
I’ve never seen this commercial for United! Very rare!
LOL the shark smirks.. XD
I remember these commercials watching the news in morning in college and some United Airlines commercial would come on.

Aye...If the last decade is anything to go by, UAL has become A HOLE.
I get it! I'm parodying all those who keep asking that question over and over.
awesome. animation rulez
United sure loves George Gershwin!
United has some of the most powerful commercials of way back when!
If you want a successful presentation to managers, don't take United Air to attend the meeting. You'll be down already even before the meeting.

It's not the first time I've seen this but I must say: Wow! I'm pretty jaded by the slickness of modern advertising but this...just...works!

@FlyJetBlueAirways Sorry dude!! The merge is already done....
same could be said of every major US airline.
I don't know if it has a formal name. The intentional graniness and subdued colors it seems are trying to suggest a simpler time. Pre-Disney, not Mickey but Felix the Cat.

That commercial is obnoxious.
The composer of the musical piece was American too. No offense Americans BUT...lame.
So was she pitching ESG and DEI?
