This is great Jan. I'm a fan of you and Jeff S and the great products at Poly. Learning how to do OTD allows us to have an "open" room system that puts us into different platforms and doesn't tie us to any one in particular. Figuring out the licensing for these platforms - that's another story. Lol
Hi Adam thanks for your comments. I also like the free and open choice of platform usage. I think this probably perfect for some bigger or exec meeting rooms always with mixed video platform calls. I agree licensing is another story but most of Interop is a concurrent model and you can start with 1 license.. I would start small with 1 or 2 rooms just see how it works for people... and then you can always extend or buy more if needed...
Hi Jeff , First of all , Thanks for these series of videos which was very beneficial , if we will focus on This video ( Multiplatform dial ) is this still avaliable for poly devices or not ? thanks for your help in advance .
Hi 👋 thanks for your comments. To get started quickly review following video bit.ly/3ZRjHh7 be aware the url webex invite needs to be in location field otherwise you won't see a join button further review firewall logs if nothing is blocked and update to latest and greatest etc.. hope it helps JZ☕️🔧
Poly One Touch Dial is amazing, however in large organizations its unlikely the O365 admins will allow Enterprise apps allow access to all inboxes and calendars. Is there a way for Poly One Touch Dial to only have to a single inbox calendar?
Thats a great question and I agree although I showed access to all mailboxes I understand customers want to limit this for certain organizations. Earlier this year Microsoft introduced the ability to control the scope of mailbox access in Exchange Online to approved application by providing new access policies. See here a reference to Jeff Schertz blog with some good info how to limit application mailbox access. bit.ly/3iN0ZDS does that help?
Hi M getting error while using teams could not connect to workplace join.. Try again or connect to admin.. this error comes just after entering teams ID password...
Hi thanks for your comments. The "could not connect to workplace join" is one of the famous messages when trying to login to MTRoA. Please see this video bit.ly/3XOvuh2 which should explain a lot. You need to enable Android Device Administrator and soon in case you are using Intune the AOSP Device Management. Hope that helps. JZ☕
Hi Hamid thats a great question. You can select in the Web Management of the X series or G7500 what to show on the main big screen like "calendar", "favorites" or "none". In most cases calendar is most convenient as people walk into the room to show the upcoming meetings... in case you got a touch screen favorites might also make sense for people to quickly dial to other locations... now in case you dont want to show anything on big screen due to security just select "none" ... does that help?
@@janzoetemelk thanks for reply, I've tried to change it none but it removed the Favourites from TC8 too. I would like to see Favorites on TC8 and not on the big screen
That’s great Jan. Have you ever configured it for Amazon Chime? I’ve been able to get a StudioX50 configured to OTD dial in Teams, Blue Jeans and Zoom but Chime just doesn’t seem to work. It looks like its calling with the meeting id 1234567890@meet.chime.in but never actually dials, you never hear the tones. Then it seems about a minute later to revert to the saved favourite that I have for chime and dials in but then you have input the meeting id so not OTD.
Hi thats a great question. I haven't worked with Amazon Chime yey but as long as OTD supports the parsing and h.323-SIP info is in the invite it should work.. in general you can always try to dial h323 or sip manually or via a favorite that should work or if not maybe blocked by a firewall etc... otherwise I recommend to get in contact with your local Poly partner or office to dive deeper...

Hey, would please explain how to setup Poly X50 to show favorites only on TC8 and not on main big screen same as yours ?
