Hi Adam, thats a great question. The Trio 8800 should work as speaker and mic paired to Studio X. You need to enable this in the Studio X webinterface this will disable the mic inside Studio X (not for speaker tracking). Did you try it?
@@janzoetemelk Yes - confirmation it does work. It also adds some camera control with isn't available with just the TC8. It allows you to enable and disable automatic camera tracking! Hi Jan, thanks for the very informative video! I just purchased a Trio C60 to link with our current Poly X30 + TC8 setup. We're using this with Google Meet. However, I can''t seem to get any audio input or output from the C60 phone.. Any ideas there? Followed all the steps but can't seem to get it working. I can choose the device as audio output (however, no audio is coming through) but I can't select it as the main microphone.
Hi that's a great question. I would try it in Poly or Zoom as provider to see if it works and all good connected. I am also not sure if the mix with Trio C60 is already supported with Google Meet but usually should work. Try to see if you selected Trio as audio device in the web management or available as audio output in drop down menu... hope that helps.. JZ☕️🔧
@@janzoetemelk Have it configured in Poly mode now. I can select it as audio output (phone speakers) but no audio is coming through in an actual call. If I change back to system speakers, the audio is coming through the X30 again. As for mic input: should there also be a selection visible? As I only see the built-in mics of the X30 as an option now. Will test in Zoom-mode to see if it works there. If not, I guess it won't be supported by Google. Hope they will do that soon as we really need an external mic and speaker solution for our room (studio X30 is too far away).
Is it possible to use poly trio as remote control for X50 AND as SIP phone at the same time? So when we dont have VC meeting and would like to use only phone functionality can we just dial a number as before on trio?
Hi Kliman good comments. Please review Trio 5.9.4 release notes for Trio C60 now the ability to switch between Apps.. so use it as controller for Studio X and switch to SIP phone for regular calls...🤗
Hi Mr. Jan. A small Doubt!. Please confirm if we route the audio output to TV Loudspeaker, G7500 will ensure the AEC for that?. Or we will experience any echo since the audio routed to third party display?.
Hi Kalai thanks for your comments. That is a great question in case the G7500 is used with Poly IP Table or Ceiling Mics the TV loudspeaker via HDMI will work with AEC handled by G7500. In case you use 3rd party DSP like Biamp, Shure etc then you need to use AEC in these devices. Hope that helps. ☕🛠
Hi Richard, thanks for your comments. You are correct you can BT pair using BT600 or BT700 dongle the Studio X with Sync Family at the table. Its not officially supported yet as mute button is not in sync but it just works. The Sync speaker will take full control of speaker and mic. The speaker tracking mics in Studio X will still work. Dont forget to enable "USB audio" in Studio X WebUI which enabled this external usb audio functionality. Does that help?
I tested it and works for most Apps... but officially since PolyOS 3.8 or higher for Zoom - see here a reference bit.ly/3zMcfXP around 15:00 minutes for Zoom with multiple TC8s and Trio C60s...☕️⚙️🤗
@@janzoetemelk Hi, Jan, its means that in zoom mode the c60 will not transmitte mic signal via LAN, if its be simultaneously connected to Studio with TC8? It need to be connected via USB as hub?

Thanks for your comments. In case the Trio is in "controller mode" paired with StudioX and G7500 you need to use the USB input port in the StudioX or G7500 directly as that device is also the "brains". The positive is that the StudioX and G7500 USB port is UVC compatible so you don't need to install separate drivers or an app on the PC or Mac.
As my HP/Aruba switches automatically put poly phones (including the Trio) in a X.X.6.X subnet but my regular networked devices (like the X30) and laptops go into the X.X.3.X subnet - I have the conundrum of trying to get a Trio 8800 into the X.X.3.X subnet and it's really difficult. I may try to move my test X30 into 6 network instead. If they are in different subnets - will they still pair? I assume not. And I wonder if there's a trick to getting a phone into a non-phone vlan - other than modifying the port in the switch, which I don't want to do.
Ultimately - I discovered that I had a vlan already set for Trios to stay in the .3 subnet. So I traced my connection in the server room - changed it to a different switch port and then was able to pair them. Right now - I don't see the option for directing the sound to the Trio 8800 - even after reboot. My only choises are "System Speakers" which is the X30 and TV Speakers - which I assume are some paltry thing built into the Dell Monitor. Is that feature no longer available? It's probably the biggest reason for pairing!
Hi Jan, I'm trying to pair the Trio8800 to Studio X30. i have managed to pair BUT when the remote pops up on Trio, it "kill" my network and constantly comes up and drops again. Something I'm missing ?
Hi Jan, With the controller mode activated i cant use the advanced settings of the controller. the default password is changed. and I cant do a firmware check thru the webinterface or the Teams portal. Where can i find the password/pincode to enter the advanced mode?
Thanks for your comments. This should out of the box be 456 but in the latest Trio, VVX and CCX versions you are required to changed passwords for advanced settings this might have happened otherwise do a 4 finger recovery.
