2016 Jeep Cherokee Oil pressure sensor replacement - P0522

  • When you get a fault code of P0522 in your Jeep Cherokee, you probably have a bad oil pressure sensor. This series of sensors are also used in the following vehicles (although the location may differ)

    My jeep is getting the po6de code. It’s saying oil pressure circuit open. Would this b the oil pressure sensor?

    do you have 4WD or 2WD?

      @mikhailbelyj3582 FWD...
      I always thought that abbreviation was a bit SUS. Front Wheel Drive is the best middle ground between 4wd and 2wd. Having the power to the front wheels gives more control in ice, and loose terrain. While giving better fuel mileage for daily use. Here in Texas ice storms are a thing. So, FWD is preferred.

      @@mikhailbelyj3582 I did end up also replacing the connector. Plastic stuff gets hard and brittle over time and heat

      THAT. is a good question. The first one I got was not the right size. Apparently there are a few versions of this device. So I cannot answer your question. You will have yo remove yours and take it with you to the store
