It makes me think of my own support system. I am very on my own but if need be I can contact just my brother and my father and can have 50+ people helping me out if need be. I still have my mother and a sister for female support and insights. I have some friends who are pretty well connected too. I am a loser and live like one, but somehow managed to befriend many well connected people. I guess its because I am loyal, dopey and kind because other than that I have nothing to offer anyone.

As an ex addict of strong opioids and as a married woman, I'm so happy I had/have enough awareness to see the destruction I can cause around me if not careful. I was addicted towards the start of my marriage, but after 2 years of heavy use, it's like a ton of bricks hit me all at once in the face. I could see the distance I was building between my husband and I as well as my closest friends and I. I could see the damage I was doing to myself and my life. I spiraled a bit from there into some pretty deep depression, but still decided a few months later to get help immediately. I would sooner die than lose my husband. It's RARE you are ever able to find that person who fits in your life like a glove, someone who brings out the best qualities in you, makes you laugh and smile year after year, and always brings joy to each day, and that is my husband. Hell, we've never even been so mad as to yell at each other. I wasn't about to fucking give that up. As my favorite quote ever goes: you want my husband, you're gonna have to fucking kill me. I got clean of drugs, still go to therapy, was treated for severe depression, and 8 years later I'm still happily married to the love of my life and pregnant with our second daughter, the other 2 loves of my life. I did hit a rough patch 3 years ago in December 2020 when my best friend of 10 years took his life and I nearly relapsed after another spiral, but ended up composing a song as venting method, stuck to everything despite the hurt and pain, and came out the otherside with my husband standing right there the whole time, helping me work through it (they weren't as close, but he was also still very affected as well, so I know it wasn't easy to pull me from the brink). I'd die for my husband and my family. To throw your family away, your children away, your friends away all for sparkling trash and shit is absolutely disgusting, weak, cowardly, and shameful. Even after experiencing addiction myself, I still think anyone willing to do the things this woman did are fucking disgraceful and deserve every last bit of misery, backlash, and consequence coming at them. I've also had a mother use false allegations to attempt to win a divorce and it is absolutely DISGUSTING to use such abhorrent claims against an innocent person. That woman was lucky her kids aren't like me because once I found out she falsely claimed my dad was abusive to her and us, I slapped her so hard that it bruised for 3 days. I don't tolerate false claims or domestic violence against either men or women, so I don't mind being the one to slap a bitch as a woman myself since I'm more able to get away with it. Honestly, good riddance. She was a horrible wife, a horrible neglectful mother, and a sad excuse for a woman and I spit on her grave.

Personally, I thank God for this, dealt with some relatives who have serious Narcissistic Personality Disorder and try to destroy my life bc they can't control me then blame me that we're not close or that I'm "bitter" and "immature" for not giving them, a predator, access to my life, my partner's life, my kid's life. I went little to no contact, no one has time for that level of madness. On top of that, they get worse with time.

That's why is so effective, because it's not something like you can turn off and on, drug reach into your brain, forcing your body and itself to have chemical reactions that are new and virgin to the body, like scratching that spot on your back you can't never seem to find, but once it wears off, it's like a large dumb kid version of yourself, who is stronger and no reasonable is physically pushing you to do it again and again

It's scary how often 'feminism' is just a thin veil over blatantly toxic misandry. I had an almost-GF in my late 20's that toted herself a feminist, things were nice for about a month but after a while it started to become apparent who she really was underneath. Constantly reminding me of my 'privilege', using tragedies certain women have endured as crimes from me and my entire gender, the never-ending 'just because you're a man' statements, etc. The day I tried to turn it around and talk about some of the horrors men have gone through from women was the angriest I've ever seen a human being.

This isn’t real feminism.” Once it got to the “my body my choice” is just a mask to save their egos I realized this is just an incredible tragedy. The wife was lured with feelings of female empowerment and was dragged down into the hell that is meth addiction. It probably started as just the wife wanting new friends that were liberal and progressive (not a bad thing), but didn’t see the hole she was digging until it was too late to get out.
As awful as her actions were, and as unforgivable her final act was right as she was recovering and her children were coming to grips with it all, she was still a victim of the scum that poisoned her.

@@sunnyztmoney You clearly don't know what true feminism is all about then, coz this isn't it, which one of the women said in the vid if you remember. They admitted it was an excuse they used.
The issue here is addiction, and I don't say issue in the sense that we should be judging, but an issue that more of us need to have an understanding for.
You need to know this, as to totally get and understand your views, you need to understand the facts. If you assume for whatever biases, that the problem here was feminism, well you'll be way off track, coz 1) the biggest problem were the damaging effects of addiction on the person addicted and their loved ones. 2) The fact she got manipulated into that circle, under the pretence of feminism, that is the second most important of something we need to understand, because feminism and what happened here are not things that align. That puts feminism in a bad light unnecessarily.
If people would take the time to know what true feminism is all about, then people would know when they're being manipulated with a false version like in this story, which became the beginning of the end for the OP's wife.

This is your best friend hurting themself, and anyone you truly love you would feel so bad seeing how low they’ve become. It’s true, she was the one who chose to spend time with these coworkers, but from the outside looking in you can see as they’re being fooled and lied to and you want to help that person. Even knowing he never wanted to get back together, that doesn’t mean you can’t still love someone and wish they’d take steps to turn their life around and stop hurting themselves. and a whole group of women who would turn on eachother for anything. The whole thing is just sad. I hope Op, Henry, the ex wifes family, and all the children move on. Despite how awful that woman was to her husband at the end of the day her parents lost a child, her children lost a mother.

I absolutely love to break these stories down to see if they are fake. He should be the writer for gta 6 or its real. Nearly everything this accounted for. One thing i look for to see if its fake is how deep does the emotional turmoil goes, to see how it affects everyone. He made an appropriate response to everything. Not like some obvious fake ones where their husbands does the worst of the worst crimes to the whole family their response is like "i guess we should kick him out of the house before it gets worse" after m**esting their daughter. Obviously im exaggerating but you should get the point.

    OP,
I know you're suffering a lot, but I hope you can take 1 very positive win from your divorce/ ex-wife's affair.
You allowed a father to finally be reunited with his children after 5 years,
You cleaned his record and reputation, and he will no longer be viewed as an abuser and he will no longer have a criminal record so he can now find a job and home.
And, You saved several children from an abusive and neglectful household,
You have given them back their happiness, and you have given them a future.
    You are a hero 🙌
And i wish you and your children the best!!!

I love it when the husband gets justice against their wife who abused, cheated, ect. that causes a divorce. When the husband gets the kids, house, and other stuff. It even happened to my dad. My mom abused him and they spent 17-18 years building an amazing credit score and within less than a year she ruined it by buying lots of alcohol (mostly vodka) and cigarettes. She also trashed the house and made the house a storage place. The living room was boxes with a path to the dining room 2 couches and hallway with bedrooms. My dad got the house and me and my siblings. I have no clue where my mom is.

I strive to be a good friend like Bob. Those are the real unsung heroes in situations like this one. The parents on both sides, Bob, and the honesty the one friend showed in the end is refreshing. Ngl I would have started healing much sooner if I had know the truth of my own situation so this story is going to stick with me.
