I can't imagine having a mother like that, my mother works very hard is a dedicated woman who raised 4 children by herself. so seeing how a mother can be this selfish just makes me disgusted.

I'm sorry, but I don't believe most of the OP's story
She said that she & Jacob worked hard to get money for the wedding, but then she said that she said that Sarah was marrying him for his money & then had pictures of her affair.
Sarah reiterated that she was a gold digger when they both paying for the house. She said that her mother in law favored Jacob, but admitted that Sarah was defending him.
Going back to the gold digger situation, she said that her mother & father in law had a small house.
My conclusion is that she did marry him for his money & that Sarah was telling the truth; the OP admitted that she had pictures of her affair, but Jacob didn't want to see it. The OP also admitted that he was on buisness trip, while she was staying at home, which means that he was paying for the house by himself.
Going back to the affair, it was likely that Sarah &/or her mother in law hired a PI to find out about his infidelity. I do believe that the mother in law did ask them to take of Sarah & they said even though the 6 kids story might be an exaggeration or maybe not. I also believe that the husband was the deadbeat that she made him out to be.
I don't believe that the mother favored Jacob over Sarah; I believe that it was the other way around because if he was then why would he flat tell them no, while working on a business. They were right when they said that Sarah & her kids weren't their responsiblity
On a side note, if they wanted kids then they could've just adopted; keep in mind that I'm not calling Sarah or the mother in law saints, but what I am saying that the OP nearly lying about everything she's

The problem is not the MIL or the SIL, it is the husband who doesn't stand up for OP which is his responsibility and duty as a husband to protect his wife from his own vile mother and sister, and have strong boundaries, right from the start. Notice, how these husbands don't want to rock the boat, and want their wife to be the bigger person all the time, and want them always ignore them for whatever they do or say. How long will you allow your wife to be insulted by your mother and sister, and keep turning a blind eye. What if the roles were reversed, would these scumbags tolerate the crap.
