- This is a follow up on the 3D printed sound system project. I made some changes based on suggestions in the comments. Did it work?
Thanks to hobbytid.no for supplying the Jesmonite. (not sponsored, I paid with my own money) Наука
Jesmonite is generically an Alpha plaster and an Acrylic polymer. Look up SP201 and Crystacal.
This is such an informational video! thank you for this! I've been meaning to 3d print a speaker system myself
0:50 those supports can all be completely avoided by giving the lower edge of the protrusion a 45 degree bevel
You are absolutely right and I did try to do that but Fusion refused to add the chamfer to the full area I needed it. It cost me about 1 hour extra printing. Appreciate you noticing such details :-)
@@espendahl8181 in the slicer itself you can use “make overhangs printable” setting which should've worked perfectly for this specific case. Also if Fusion refuses to add a chamfer, try lowering the radius a bit, e.g. if you need a 3mm chamfer try 2.8 or something. It would have no negative effect on the print.
I tried lowering the radius, but I couldn't get anything usable out of it. After some time trying different things in Fusion, I just accepted the extra printing time. (Lazy, I know). I have never tried the slicer setting you suggested. It's in Orca but I can't find it in Bambu Studio. Thanks for the tip!
Is there a link to download it?
Not for the speakers, just the case for the amp. You'll find that in the previous video about this.
@@espendahl8181 and why not the speakers?
They are no good :-)
