He would have never been able to escape that room. (Key card entry) He would not have magically, systematically stayed on the trail and hunted his kids till the very end. John is honestly the only one in his family to make solid choices lol. His wife let in a kid who was getting chased which ended up annihilating the whole household and then his kids break out of the safe zone and bring back someone infected.
For me this is one of the scariest movie moments ever!!! One minute you're a normal functioning human being. The next you're completely changed into an inhuman monster in a matter of seconds. So like the first minute you're a human being, a rather flawed one but still not really a bad person. But after succumbing to the virus, you become pure evil beyond any hope of redemption whatsoever. And that for me is the scariest kind of ordeal to suffer. There are other and just as bad ordeals like sexual abuse or being locked in a celler for who-knows-how-long but this is just inhumanely evil. Because once you're infected you inheritably embrace the evil from the rage virus within.
I forgot how sad this scene was, I half remembered it as him forcing the kiss but she seemed while still very wooden to be sincere about still loving him.
You have a person who you are still testing to see if she is infected or not, and yet you don't have a unique security access code for military installations, so that a butler or a janitor can even access level 5 military laboratories... what the hell is wrong with these military personnel and their security protocols? Do they have them up their asses or what? This whole biological accident happened because of the negligence of the military.
Alot of people poking holes in this but clearly not knowing the context or giving it any thought. Like literally, at the start of the clip they discover her immunity and her dangerousness. They needed to test her. Don went into that room before the situation was clearly established. Plus the no guards thing? She was tied down to the table, her existence was confidential. Her importance hadn't been discovered yet. The only people who should be going into that room are doctors. Who else realistically would be going into that room? They didn't lock her down because 1st, she wasn't that important and 2nd, no one else realistically would be going in that room. Don got in because as he established earlier, he has access to the whole zone as he is required to keep it running. The US military weren't planning on finding her but they did and nothing major beyond her being bitten but not turned stood out. She didn't attack them. Clear she was bitten but she didn't lash out or posed a major risk. Why wasn't she guarded to the max and how did a glorified janitor get access to her? She wasn't guarded because there was no need to at the time. That janitor got access to her because he had access to the whole complex including the room she was held in because its not like this was planned so it was just a room set up to hold her. People are dumb.
oh look, a genius. you have an infected strapped on a bed on a makeshift establishment so it's pretty safe to let other people roam free because we trust them that they wouldn't get infected. so let's give the guards a break and play bingo because there is no risk of infection even considering that they have to deal with a virus that eradicated the human race. following this logic is the very reason why Covid spread like wildfire.
No guards, no security cameras, not even a locked door These movies wouldn't exist without tremendous negligence and human stupidity on the part of the characters lmao, first the chimp scene in the original and then this
I've always questioned how did Don get out cause if you need an access card to get into a secured room you can't just walk back out you have to either push an exit button or either type in a code to exit.
Everyone is criticising this scene but by the time theyd made the decision to kill her (shortly after analysing her blood) he was already in the room. I think it was a little contrived sure but not *that* bad.

I think she knew what was going to happen, she has a smug look on her face when he starts to feel the effects of the virus. I guess that was pay back for him leaving her.
Yeah, this is the nonsensical part. She appeared more or less healthy, which meant that after the first bites where she was infected the zombies didn't interact with her further. It may imply that him losing his mind was due to the virus, but the anger was actually something he was feeling before alongside the guilt
Did he betray her though? To quote another comment about the beginning of the movie: Don wisely told them not to open the door. When his wife overruled him, he took responsibility and the personal risk to do it. When they broke in, he did most of the hand to hand fighting and even rescued the Asian guy. When she wouldn't come with him to the next room and instead went for the boy and got trapped, there were multiple infected between him and her so he could do nothing. Then after he escaped and the Asian guy with the boat that he previously rescued fell in, he still tried to help him despite being swamped with infected. He's made out to be a craven coward who ran, but he went above and beyond what was reasonable.
@@ZedZdeD462 it is kind of poetic that you can see the parallels between their actions and subsequent demises. -) She couldn't bear to leave the kid in the closet at the beginning (even though there was no way he could have been saved) and rushes to him, basically killing herself. Don instinctually flees and saves himself by sealing her fate -) Don can't bear to not see her wife even though he knows that rationally it's dangerous; he also knows that touching/kissing her would be a risk as it is a mode of transmission of the contagion. However they both can't help themselves (understandably) and this kills them both. As for opening the door, they were ostensibly fucked either way, with all those zombies running towards the house. He would have never been able to escape that room. (Key card entry)
He would not have magically, systematically stayed on the trail and hunted his kids till the very end. That is not how rage zombies behave.
Unless the twist is, she was immune, and he had enhanced intelligence.
Basically these are inconsistencies.
But his acting was INCREDIBLE
28 Years Later wouldn't have happened if this guy hadn't kissed his wife.
A patient who is infected, who is a carrier, and who could provide a cure is not heavily guarded? Especially if she can infect others? Hhhmmmm
2:17 ☣transformation☣
Average 1950s husband and wife interaction.
Punching zombie, Mike Tyson on steroids
I forgot how sad this scene was, I half remembered it as him forcing the kiss but she seemed while still very wooden to be sincere about still loving him.
Anyone here because of 28 years later?
I think this is where one of the most important mutations begins
Clickbait title : Wife took revenge for leaving her and the kid all by themselves and the husband became immortal💀
All the dramatic betrayals and finally still become zombie …what for
You have a person who you are still testing to see if she is infected or not, and yet you don't have a unique security access code for military installations, so that a butler or a janitor can even access level 5 military laboratories... what the hell is wrong with these military personnel and their security protocols? Do they have them up their asses or what? This whole biological accident happened because of the negligence of the military.
That didn't end well.
Roberty Carlyle, Don's actor, suffered from a headache for 2 days after filming this scene
This scened always tripped me out
No guards, no security cameras, not even a locked door
These movies wouldn't exist without tremendous negligence and human stupidity on the part of the characters lmao, first the chimp scene in the original and then this
What a crazy move mind blowing 😢😢😢
The eye poking scene is referenced to part1 lol
Yeah haha when Jim did it. Seems to be pretty iconic.
Such a crazy scene.
Why does a janitor have access to a military facility?
makes me wonder how deadly a virus like that would be, how quickly it can affect a host and how painful it is, no wonder the uk fell in a matter of days
How did nobody notice, while he thrashed around…
This was begbie when his missus spilled his pint.
and this guy did the voice of Gabriel Belmont
So um, how did he get out of that room after being infected?
Well… she had an eye for what is going to happen to her…
First he leaves her to die then he kills her and everyone else.
Damn man and here I thought I had a toxic relationship 😅

What did she expect him to do lol? There were like 100 zombies she decided to grab the kid he couldn't do anything to save her she was stupid😂
BRILLIANT BETTER THEN THE FIRST

Shit happens man..
I think she knew what was going to happen, she has a smug look on her face when he starts to feel the effects of the virus. I guess that was pay back for him leaving her.
Then she realized this is really really bad
That's what I was thinking
Begbie was scarier
the heck did she survive multiple zombies at the first part of the movie but cant survive an attack from one infected??? soo much stupid logic
He shoved his thumbs into her eyes/ brain
Yeah, this is the nonsensical part. She appeared more or less healthy, which meant that after the first bites where she was infected the zombies didn't interact with her further. It may imply that him losing his mind was due to the virus, but the anger was actually something he was feeling before alongside the guilt
Il a abandonner ensuite retrouver puis massacrer WTF ! 😅
CROSSED
Now that im older.. probably top 5 most dumbest/MOIST things ever
Why ? Virus can spread through the saliva
and this is why i don't swap spit with people. a disgusting concept, really.
It's a strange delusion us humans have really .
This is fucked up. He betrays her in the beginning. Then halfway into the film he kisses her. Turns into a zombie, then kills her. That's horrible.
Don instinctually flees and saves himself by sealing her fate
-) Don can't bear to not see her wife even though he knows that rationally it's dangerous; he also knows that touching/kissing her would be a risk as it is a mode of transmission of the contagion. However they both can't help themselves (understandably) and this kills them both.
As for opening the door, they were ostensibly fucked either way, with all those zombies running towards the house. The movie shows they were not phisically, emotionally or otherwise strategically prepared to fend off an attack like this. It was obvious enough someone was there considering the kid knew to bang on the door
She was an idiot and a murder. He was a hero with a stupid wife.
@@ZedZdeD462 no worries, after seeing multiple comment sections on this movie a large majority side with Don's actions at the beginning.
The way he kills his wife, it's so personal. Like, holy hell.
