Great video mate! Should have watched this before my last attempt. Standing on the top of a dune watching a whole herring stuck halfway down the line a metre out of the water tring to slide down braided line 😂

Thanks for the video. I have seen the slide rigs with and without the small sinker. What are the pros and cons for either style? I am a cheap loser and want to try to make my own. Nige from Sydney

@@Depressed.-lonely.-fisherman the sinkers on the slide just help it defend a lot faster. For dead baits in any sort of current I think they are better. If making your own there is no reason you couldn’t just squeeze some lead on

I am in North America where can I find a slide bait rig. I tried Amazon and I have had no joy.

Hey mate, try the link below, ebay seems to have a few.

This is ridiculously over powered. And he's not landing many large sharks either. Think he said he's got 800 yds total line. You will lose whatever fish 95% of the time if they have that much line out

@@ronfrederick9983 hi Ron, big sharks are not really the purpose of this combo, slide baiting livies to mulloway in gutters that can’t be reached with a bait/ sinker combo is more the intention.
